Tiananmen Massacre Report by Jane

“To not to be aware of the past is to be forever a child. But those of us who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. Mankind is the sum of his ancestors.”

-----George Santayana
Chinese aphorism:

“To Forget the past is to betray the history!”

Today, June 4th I consider, it should be come our Chinese Memorial Day, this day should never be forgotten by all Chinese, everywhere or anywhere in the world.
I am afraid the Tiananmen massacre is already being forgotten by the world. Especially the Chinese, and all freedom loving people in the world. Like the nightmare of 9.11 in America. Today, sixteen years have past since the massacre, and all the sacrifices and lives have been forgotten, and their noble course.

The whole world was stunned at that moment when the young Chinese student stood before the tanks and was willing to sacrifice his life for the dream of freedom for his people and nation.

It is SO important to remember history...we always risk not learning from it, and even when we know it, we repeat it anyway. Knowledge is crucial.
