Toronto, Canada: Falun Gong Practitioners Continue Peaceful Appeal During Hu Jintao's Visit (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Hu Jintao arrived in Toronto at 10:30 a.m. on September 10, 2005 continuing his visit in Canada. Outside the Toronto Intercontinental Hotel where Hu stayed, more than 500 Falun Gong practitioners from across Canada and parts of the US continued their peaceful appeal for an end to the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners held up banners reading "Hu Jintao, the time that God and people give to you is limited" at all routes of where Hu Jintao's motorcade would pass by. The same message could be seen on seven highways from the airport to the hotel. Outside the hotel, there were peaceful practitioners and over a hundred banners bearing messages calling for and end to the persecution.

CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has become the focus of Canadian mainstream media these past few days. At 11:20 a.m. on September 9, 2005, Canadian TV Station veteran reporter Roger Smith, in front of numerous international media, asked Hu Jintao how he responded regarding Falun Gong practitioners who displayed photos depicting the persecution and torture, pro-democratic activists and intellectuals outside Parliament Hill. Hu Jintao sidestepped the question.
At 11:20 a.m. on September 9, 2005, in front of many international media, Canadian TV Station veteran reporter Roger Smith asked Hu Jintao how he responds regarding Falun Gong practitioners displaying photos depicting persecution and torture and abuses, pro-democratic activists and intellectuals outside Parliament Hill.
"Just as I mentioned in my comments, ... I did raise the issue of Falun Gong." Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin said in his reply to Roger Smith's question, "We believe that both economic development and better governance requires not only openness and transparency, but an understanding of the importance of human rights."
During Prime Minister Martin's meeting with Hu Jintao, human rights issues were placed on the very top of the agenda. This is the second time that Canadian Prime Minister publicly raised the issue of Falun Gong with Chinese leaders. The mainstream media extensively covered this in their reports next day, causing strong reactions in Canada. The mainstream media including CBC, CTV, Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Canadian Press reported in prominent position that Canadian Prime Minister publicly raised questions about China's human rights including Falun Gong.

On September 10, 2005 at 11:20 a.m., Hu Jintao's motorcade entered the Toronto Intercontinental Hotel's parking garage from an inconspicuous road behind the hotel. The Toronto Chinese' "Welcome" group who began beating drums and performing Yangkou dance at the main entrance from 7:00 a.m. did not have a chance to see the person they wanted to meet.

Bo Xilai Facing Lawsuit in New York - Plaintiffs Demand Arrest, Conviction and Expulsion
(Clearwisdom.net) On September 8, 2005, the directors of the International Advocates for Justice and the Human Rights Law Projects filed a criminal lawsuit against Bo Xilai, charging him with torture.
The lawsuit states that defendant Bo Xilai, when head of Liaoning Province, planned, instigated, ordered, authorized and incited police and other security personnel to abuse the plaintiffs and other similar victims. He also directed, controlled or instigated these personnel to carry out the abuse.
The lawsuit further pointed out that Bo Xilai's aforementioned actions took place in an environment of nationwide persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Police and security personnel in Liaoning Province and in China took part in this large-scale and systemic persecution. Their lawless behaviors include murder, arbitrary detention, forced labor, brutal and savage abuse and torture in complete disregard for the law.
Attorney Han Shuhui, director of the International Advocates for Justice, said this case affects the interest of the US and of US Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted by Jiang Zemin and personnel from the 610 Office. Jiang and 610 Office personnel tried to eradiate Falun Gong from the US by spreading lies to the legislative and administrative departments in the US.
Attorney Han Shuhui pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party launched a vicious and slanderous propaganda campaign against Falun Gong in the media, on the Internet and via China Central Television satellite programs, which poisoned the minds of hundreds of thousands of Chinese people living in the US. After the 911 terrorist attack, right away, the CCP described Falun Gong practitioners as terrorists and incited hatred against Falun Gong, using similar methods the Nazis used when they incited hatred against the Jews.
Attorney Terri Marsh said, "Defendant Bo Xilai is criminally responsible for his actions and those committed by his subordinates in Liaoning Province. It is a matter of principle to hold Bo responsible for his crimes within the parameters of law."
Based on the defendant's violations of Falun Gong practitioners' human rights and civil rights in China, the plaintiffs asked the South District Public Prosecutor's Office in New York to:
Take immediate actions to thoroughly investigate the alleged, aforementioned crimes of accused defendant Bo Xilai;
Issue an arrest warrant and detain the defendant so he cannot leave USA territory until his crimes in violation of US laws are investigated and he is officially convicted;
Notify the US customs and Immigration Bureau (Homeland Security) of Bo Xilai's actions, his alleged crimes and illegal behavior, and of the tortures he participated in, which violate international laws on freedom of belief. Bo Xilai is a declared criminal in the US and should be expelled according to US law.
Immediately start a criminal lawsuit against Bo Xilai, as federal laws state that lawsuits may be filed against individuals who personally participated in the act of torture in a foreign country or who have instigated others to participate in similar crimes.
Seattle, Washington: Anti-Torture Exhibition Held at City Center (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On September 4, practitioners from Washington, Oregon and Vancouver Canada held an anti-torture exhibition in Seattle's city center to disclose the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and to call for public attention and action to stop the six-year persecution.

Practitioners demonstrated three torture methods in Westlake Park, including the tiger bench, hanging and beating, and the small cell. Practitioners have been widely subjected to these three methods in forced labor camps in China. The peacefulness of the exercise demonstration and the brutality revealed by the anti-torture exhibition cast a sharp contrast.
There were many tourists in the area over the Labor Day weekend and many of them were attracted by the exhibition. They stopped to ask for information, chat with practitioners and sign a petition showing their support. Tourists on the other side of the road also stopped to watch and listen to the practitioners' account from a megaphone.
One family came to Westlake Park on a carriage. The child insisted on finding out what practitioners were demonstrating. As soon as his father took him down, he went to the practitioners' site and obtained some truth-clarifying materials. He then happily went back to his parents.
A Chinese passerby told practitioners: Falun Gong is great. I have been to many places and have seen practitioners in all the big cities. I know the facts, and Jiang did the stupidest thing.
There were also people who didn't know the truth. After listening to practitioners' explanation, they said: "You should let your voices be heard at all major events."

During the conference practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, telling the attendees about what Falun Gong is, and about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) six years of persecution against the peaceful practice. Lots of people took down contact numbers and expressed a wish to find out more about the practice.

Italy: Falun Dafa Becomes More Popular on the Island of Sardinia (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) At the end of July and the beginning of August, some practitioners from Switzerland and Italy went to the island of Sardinia to promote Falun Gong. A young practitioner from Switzerland who went to Sardinia one year ago helped to make this journey happen.

Practicing Falun Gong and Setting up Truth-clarification Posters in the park
Sardinia is only slightly smaller than Sicily and is a famous holiday place in Italy. Every year, its unique natural scenery and popular beaches attract many tourists from all over the world.
Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises in the park every morning. Many people who were doing various exercises in the park would stop and come to see our poster display boards. They were watching us doing the exercises. Some people also took leaflets.

Truth-clarification at a tourist attraction
We held Falun Gong information days in the cities of Olbia, Sassari and Nuoro. We also went to many famous places with lots of tourists and distributed leaflets. While we were demonstrating the exercises in the square, many tourists and local citizens stopped to watch us, read the poster boards and take leaflets. A lot of people could not understand why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. But more people asked us where they could learn the exercises.
One middle-aged gentleman told us he had seen a documentary program regarding the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP on the television. He felt furious and shocked. He has been thinking of finding out more about these exercises and now he saw us here holding the information day. He was so happy. We told him about Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Gong practice, and that he can read this another Falun Gong book online.
There was also a journalist called Catalina who works for a daily newspaper called Sardinia Island United Newspaper which is issued throughout the island. Catalina reported the stories of Falun Gong practitioners and revealed the truth of the persecution by the CCP using a whole page spread. We were happy that more people on Sardinia Island could learn about Falun Gong.

Media: Canadian Prime Minister Urges Hu Jintao to Improve Human Rights in China
(Clearwisdom.net) Dow Jones Newswires reported on Friday that Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin said Friday that he has had a "thorough" discussion on human rights with visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao and made it clear that this is a "fundamental" issue for Canada.
Martin said at a joint press conference with Hu, "We believe that both economic development and better governance requires not only openness and transparency, but an understanding of the importance of human rights - both human rights in terms of governance of a country but also human rights in terms of the way that country is able to function."
Montreal Gazette reported on Friday that Hu Jintao came to talk trade, but Hu had to spend a lot of time defending his country's human-rights record.
"On Friday morning, Prime Minister Martin and Hu Jintao held a joint news conference. Hu Jintao faced a flurry of questions on human rights from Canadian journalists. Hu sidestepped one question by a Canadian journalist about the large demonstration that greeted the Chinese leader on Parliament Hill, which included members of the persecuted Falun Gong religious movement, as well as political dissidents who complained of torture and execution by China's Communist leaders.
"Hu defended China's human rights policies by saying that it is normal for Canada and China to hold different views on human rights because of differences in their cultures and histories."
Globe and Mail also reported that Mr. Martin said he told Mr. Hu that China's rocketing economic success and its increased leadership role in the world must be accompanied by continual improvements in human rights.
Central News Agency: Hu Jintao Visits Canada, Falun Gong Practitioners Protest the Persecution
(Clearwisdom.net) On September 8, 2005, Chinese Communist Party leader Hu Jintao began his visit to Canada. Falun Gong practitioners appealed to demand an end to the persecution. It was noticed that Bo Xilai, who is on watch list of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), did not appear even though it was earlier announced that he would.
Central News Agency reported on September 8 from Ottawa. Under invitation from Adrienne Clarkson, the Governor General of Canada, Hu Jintao led a delegation to Ottawa from Beijing. It was Hu's first visit to Canada. Falun Gong practitioners held protest on the sidewalk across the Governor General's office.
The report stated that Bo Xilai, Minister of Ministry of Commerce, was listed as a member of the delegation earlier publicized, but did not actually come to Canada. For his crimes in persecution of Falun Gong, Bo Xilai has been sued in the USA and Canada.
Vice minister Ma Xiuhong came in his place.
The Bath Chronicle (UK): Peaceful Protest over Persecution by Chinese Government

Followers of the eastern practice of Falun Gong protested against persecution in China yesterday. A group of practitioners handed out leaflets, demonstrated exercises and collected signatures on a petition in Abbey Church Yard.
The petition, which calls for the release from labor camps of family members of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners who live abroad, will be sent to the British Government.
It is hoped that the government will put diplomatic pressure on China to end the persecution, which according to campaigners, has led to more than 2,750 people being tortured to death.
Falun Gong is a practice based on peaceful exercise and meditation, with what followers say are the central tenets of truth, compassion and tolerance.
In 1999 it was outlawed by the Chinese Government after practitioners held a peaceful vigil involving 10,000 people in the capital, Beijing.
It is thought that the scale of the protest and fear of the popularity of Falun Gong, which had an estimated 70 million followers in China, led to the ban and subsequent persecution.
Simon Miller, 44, a mental health worker who organized yesterday's protest, said: "We're aiming to raise awareness of both Falun Gong and the human rights situation in China.
"A lot of people don't know much about the situation."
"Petitions calling for release of practitioners have succeeded in the past, so we hope we can help rescue people."

Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Ren Shujie Passed Away Because of the Persecution (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ren Shujie (from Shenyang Province) suffered long-term inhuman torture for persisting in her belief and clarifying the truth to people. By the time she was released from Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on December 24, 2004, she was extremely weak and emaciated. At 11:15 PM on September 1, 2005. Ms. Ren passed away.

Ms. Ren Shujie, 42, was a practitioner from the Tiexi District of Shenyang in Liaoning Province. She was the owner of a fabric shop in the Donghu Market, Hong District. Ms. Ren began to practice Falun Gong in 1998 and benefited mentally and physically. After she became a Dafa practitioner, Ms. Ren became honest and kind and enjoyed helping others. Her customers and the other shop owners regarded her as a good person.
In 2001, the police arrested Ms. Ren for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Around October 2001, because she went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, the persecutors sent her to the Dabei Prison hospital in Shenyang City. On November 16, she left the prison hospital using righteous thoughts. On May 21, 2002, officers from the Zhonggong Police Station, under the Tiexi District Police Department in Shenyang, abducted Ms. Ren Shujie. The persecutors handcuffed her hands behind her back and slapped her face. They hit the back of her legs with large sticks and forced her to squat on the ground. Later on the persecutors sent her to three years of forced labor. She was detained in Longshan Forced Labor Camp, where officials deprived her of sleep for seven consecutive nights, and police staff Tang Yubao used two electric batons and shocked her for thirty minutes.
During her detention in the forced labor camp, Ms. Ren had to do slave labor. They forced her to do extremely heavy manual labor. During that time, she began a hunger strike that lasted 64 days. In mid-June 2003, Ms. Ren told Tang Yubao to treat older practitioners kindly. Tang shocked her with an electric baton and kicked her. Ms. Ren's mouth was swollen, her eye sockets were bruised and swollen, her eyes were bloodshot, her face was disfigured, and her body was covered with bruises.
In March 22, 2004, Longshan Forced Labor Camp authorities sent Ms. Ren Shujie to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was ordered to sleep on the cold floor for three months. Ms. Ren Shujie's face became swollen, and her legs showed signs of severe edema. Each time a spot was pressed, an indentation would remain. Ms. Ren also went on a hunger strike at that time. Since Ms. Ren could not eat well, she was extremely weak at the time of her release from the labor camp. She was released on December 24, 2004. Because she still had problems with her esophagus, Ms. Ren was not able to eat normally on her returning home. She grew increasingly weaker, and passed away on September 1, 2005 at 11:15 p.m.

Teenage Son of Practitioner Zhang Fengyun Lives a Hard Life after His Mother Is Tortured to Death
(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. Zhang Fengyun from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, was tortured to death on August 11, 2001 by the Lanzhou City No. 1 Custodial Center (also known as the Xiguoyuan Custodial Center) for her determination in practicing Falun Dafa. Her son Xing Jun was only 14 years old at that time. He was forced to drop out of school and is now earning only 100 yuan a month, which is barely enough to survive on.
Xing Jun was born on September 30, 1987. He lives in an apartment in the family compound of his father's work unit, the Gansu Province Construction and Engineering Bureau. The family compound is located at Xiliu Gou of Xigu District, Lanzhou City.
Xing Jun's father, Xing Shuzhou , 49 years of age, worked at the Lumber Mill under the Gansu Province Construction and Engineering Bureau until 2001 when he was laid off. He gets only 160 yuan a month for living expenses from the factory. He is now working far away from his son.
After he graduated from the Junior Middle School, Xing Jun studied at the Electric Power and Electric Engineering School in Lanzhou City. However he had to stop school because the family could not afford the school fee. He then stayed at home for more than a year. Recently, Xing Jun started to work in a small private woodworking plant and makes only 100 yuan per month. He and his father have to depend on each other for their survival.
Jun's mother, Zhang Fengyun, was a 42-year-old staff member at the Gansu Province Construction and Engineering Bureau Lumber Mill. She was very ill before she started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. Soon after, she was in perfect health and was extremely grateful for her practice of Dafa.
After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Ms. Zhang went to Beijing four times to peacefully appeal for the rights of Falun Dafa practitioners. On July 23, 2001, she went to the Hekou area of Xigu District to distribute truth-clarification materials but was reported to the police. The police officials from the Hekou Police Station abducted her and sent her to Lanzhou City No. 1 Custodial Center.
During her detention, Zhang Fengyun went on a hunger strike with other practitioners to protest their persecution and demanded that they be released unconditionally. The prison wardens and several other vicious convicts were instructed by the local police to brutally beat and force-feed the practitioners.
On the fifteenth day on her hunger strike, the perpetrators threw Zhang Fengyun, who was in an extremely fragile condition because of the torture she had endured, onto a garbage platform. It was a stormy and rainy night with thunder and lightening. She was left to endure the elements outside. The other practitioners demanded that she be picked up and taken to the labor camp hospital in Dashaping. But it was too late. Ms. Zhang passed away at midnight on August 11, 2001.
Policeman in Beijing Claims that Several Practitioners Died from the Torture of "Ice Freezing" in 2000
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Sun is about 70 years old and lives in Yantai city, Shandong province. In 1997, Sun and his wife started to cultivate Falun Dafa. They said, "We attained Dafa in order to learn 'Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance.'"
On December 27, 2000, Mr. Sun and his wife went to Beijing to appeal and were arrested in Tiananmen Square. Sun and another couple of practitioners were put into a car and sent to an unknown police station. In order to protest the illegal arrest, they all refused to say their names. In order to force them to expose their identities, the policemen applied brutal and inhumane tortures to them. The most typical torture used was "ice freezing."
First, the policemen stripped off the practitioners' clothes, except for a shirt, and then forced them to stand or to sit on the snow. If the practitioners still did not give up after they were frozen for a while, the policemen stripped off the last shirt on their body, and then splashed cold water on them and continued to do so, drenching them and eventually encasing them in a sheet of ice.
Although Mr. Sun was nearly 70 years old, he was still subjected to this torture. In the freezing cold winter, the policemen forced him to stand in the snow with only a shirt on him from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. In the afternoon, the policemen stripped off his shirt and a couple of people took turns splashing cold water on him. After a short time, Mr. Sun was covered in ice from head to toe. He fainted. The policemen then dragged him inside the room to warm him up. After he woke up, they dragged him outside and splashed water on him again. On that day, Sun fainted 7 or 8 times, until it was midnight. When the policemen broke the ice off his body for the last time, a young policeman told him with regret, "We don't want to do this. It's an order from Jiang Zemin."
Later, the policemen finally found out Sun's identity. When he left Beijing, a policeman said, "If you die from being frozen, you die for nothing. Your body will be thrown away after you die. Nobody takes care of it. We have thrown away several bodies already."
After Mr. Sun was taken back to the local office, he continued to be persecuted. He was detained in the detention center and the Communist Party School [a school set up by the CCP to educate cadres on ideology] for three months. They released him after extorting from him over 10,000 yuan. >From that time on, his salary certificate was illegally detained by the head of the Communist Party in his company. They withheld his salary for two years and have, to this date, still refused to give him back the money.
Tianjin Dafa Disciple Ma Yongyue Illegally Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 10, 2005, Ma Yongyue, a Dafa practitioner from Hepingzhuang Village, Baigutun Township, Wuqing District, Tianjin City, was illegally sentenced to three years in prison by a local court. Ma Yongyue didn't accept the verdict of the court and filed an appeal to a higher court to request unconditional release.
On the evening of June 2, 2005 Ma Yongyue was arrested by officers of the Baigutun Township, Wuqing District Police Station. After 10 pm that evening, led by the staff commissioner of the Baigutun Township Police Station, a team of eight or nine policemen went to the Chengguan Town's market. There they found Dafa practitioner Ma Yongyue. They asked him to follow them, but Ma Yongyue refused to cooperate. They handcuffed Ma Yongyue, arrested him, and took him to the Detention Center of Wuqing District.
Ma Yongyue was physically abused. With the authorities' permission, prisoner Li Xinglong (from Taiziwu Village, Wuqing District, Tianjin City) spat in his face, beat him with shoes, and covered his mouth while his was sleeping. During one beating, Ma's front teeth were knocked out
On July 10, 2005, the local court sentenced Ma Yongyue to three years in prison, and his family didn't receive any notification regarding the trial. Ma Yongyue appealed to a higher court and requested unconditional release.
After Ma Yongyue was detained, the Detention Center of Wuqing District never allowed his family members to come and visit him. After Ma was sentenced, he was transferred to the Dabianzhuang Detention Center of Xiqing District, Tianjin City on July 16, 2005. He has been there for 40 days.
On July 29, 2005, Ma Yongyue's family members went once again to the Detention Center of Wuqing District, requesting to visit Ma Yongyue. They brought 100 yuan and a pair of shorts. The authorities of the Detention Center of the Wuqing District took the pair of shorts and the money, but did not tell them that Ma Yongyue was imprisoned at the Dabianzhuang Detention Center of Xiqing District, Tianjin City.
Ma Yongyue had been repeatedly and illegally detained by local police in the past. On November 29, 2004, after 8 pm, Ma Yongyue was riding a bicycle on the road of Baigutun Village. He was stopped by a police officer named Zhen Ruitao, from Baigutun Police station, and was forcibly taken to the police station. Zhen Ruitao then went to Ma Yongyue's home to ransack it. During the following days, Ma Yongyue was detained at the Detention Center of Wuqing District. After he protested the illegal detention for 5 days, he was sent home due to illness. At around 3 pm on January 28, 2005, police officer Zhen Ruitao from Baigutun Village Police Station led a team of policemen to Ma Yongyue's house and deceived Ma Yongyue into visiting the police station. He did, and was detained at the Detention Center of Wuqing District.

Sydney Falun Gong Practitioners Sue Chinese Newspaper for Defamation
A Girl, 16, Dies as a Result of the Persecution in Xinbin County, Liaoning Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Xueqing (gender unknown) and Guo Huawei (male) arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chang Diankui, ultimately causing his sixteen year old daughter, Chang Ying, to die.
On April 5, 2005, CCP Secretary Zhang Xueqing of Dahemu Village, Yongling Town, Xinbin County and the Yongling Town Police Station Head Guo Huawei (male) ransacked Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chang Diankui's home in Dahemu Village. They arrested him, detained him, and then had him sentenced to forced labor. Mr. Chang served at the Wujiapu Labor Camp in Fushen City, Liaoning Province.
Mr. Chang Diankui's daughter, Chang Ying who was 16 years old, always believed CCP Secretary Zhang Xueqing's lies. So many times, he said things such as "Your Dad will return after he's detained a couple days," "He will be back after only a few days in the labor camp," "He will return today," etc. She felt such deep anguish after discovering that she had been lied to. As the days passed, she lost all hope of her father ever returning and could no longer stand the pain of having lost her father. On May 22, 2005, she committed suicide by poisoning herself.
After young Chang Ying died, Secretary Zhang Xueqing requested that Mr. Chang's wife pay five thousand yuan to the police Station so that he could be released early. Mr. Chang's wife told Secretary Zhang that their family was already in debt, and asked if they would please reduce the fee. Zhang Xueqing absolutely refused, "No way." Therefore, in order for Mr. Chang to be released early, both the Town and County governments required the Police Station and Village government to stamp his paperwork. The Yongling Town Police Station Head Guo Huawei refused to initiate the necessary procedures. Secretary Zhang did finally approve the paperwork, but only after he caused many tribulations for Mr. Chang's family.
This is another tragedy that the CCP has caused. All bloody debts that the CCP owes to people must be repaid according to heaven's law!

On Predestined Relationships

Predestined Relationships among Non-Cultivators
People can't live without predestined relationships, because predestined relationships are the outcome of karmic retribution among people [the universal law in which both good and bad deeds are eventually repaid in kind]. No matter whether one believes in predestined relationships or not, he cannot get rid of or break away from them.
A person's predestined relationships are his fate, something unavoidable. If one wants to break away from the cycle of karmic retribution within predestined relationships, one has to change his fate. There are only two options to changing one's fate: One is to perform uncontrolled evil deeds, which leads to extinction of body and soul, or complete destruction; the other option is to begin cultivation and completely get rid of karma.
People are governed by their predestined relationships, and their lives are pre-determined. People may feel that their lives are not stable, and any disturbance from the outside world could change their course at any time. The helplessness of an everyday person makes him sigh with emotion about the complexity of fate.
However, predestined relationships are the principle at the level of everyday people. People who conform to this principle at this level are good people at this level. It is a good thing to let people know that predestined relationships exist. It reduces the useless fighting and needless worries and pain; it enhances people's calmness and tranquility.
Predestined Relationships of Cultivators
It is appropriate to clarify the truth to people and let them know about and understand the existence of predestined relationships. This does not apply to cultivators, though.
A cultivator is no longer controlled by ordinary predestined relationships. His or her every step in the future is no longer governed by karmic relationships, and there are many variables to the path that Master arranged for him or her. The predestined relationships that a cultivator faces are what Master selects and arranges, in order to help the cultivator improve and succeed in cultivation. A cultivator is among predestined relationships but it doesn't mean that the cultivator is controlled by them. When a cultivator encounters a predestined issue because of predestined relationships, it is for him to untie the knot and close out this predestined relationship with a cultivator's compassion, kindness and forgiveness. At the same time, most importantly, he should let go of attachments, reduce karma and raise his level of cultivation. To cultivate is to change one's initial fate; it gives closure to a predestined relationship, and enables one to break away from the endless cycle of karmic retribution.
A cultivator needs to address predestined relationships, but not be attached to them, and not to treat them as ultimate truth or use them as guidance in everyday life. One also must not talk excessively of predestined relationships with other cultivators. It is meaningless and also an attachment to emotions, such as happiness and sadness. If a cultivator treats predestined relationships as some kind of guiding principle, it indicates that he doesn't want to leave this material world. To put it in plain words, he does not have the desire to truly cultivate.
The fundamental reasons for predestined relationships and cultivation are related to the Fa-rectification. It is meaningless to discuss anything if Fa-rectification is not included. Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period should not be limited by predestined relationships. Predestined relationships can be used to offer people salvation, otherwise they should not be emphasized.
From a broader perspective, the old universe and its principles would have been destroyed long ago were it not for Fa-rectification, and predestined relationships, positive or negative, would by now all be extinct. Even though the old universe still exists, what will those predestined relationships it had generated lead to? The old universe's principles are based on formation-stasis-degeneration-destruction-emptiness. If one followed this principle now, the old universe should right now be in the stage of destruction and entering the stage of emptiness. If conforming to this old principle, then everything should have been destroyed and the universe should be empty. Then, should we conform to this principle? Should we emphasize and believe in this predestined relationship? Is there any significance to emphasizing and believing in so-called predestined relationships?
From a historical perspective, the arrangements of the old forces permeated the entire history and filled our numerous lives in the past. There were hardships and happiness; there were successes and failures. We cannot distinguish clearly what are the arrangements our Master had arranged and what was arranged by the old forces or what is the result of our own degeneration. History is too long, and we ourselves do not know these things. The world in the Dharma-ending Period is too chaotic, the universe on the verge of destruction is hectic and disorderly, the old forces are vicious and evil, and their factors filled our lives. We have too many attachments. We are not wise enough and we sometimes understand Master's Fa in an extreme and one-sided way.
For a Dafa practitioner during the Fa-rectification period, it is dangerous to be trapped in predestined relationships. Which predestined relationships we should believe in? The old forces also have long-lasting and complex predestined relationships with us. Our long history and faraway past were once filled with factors of the old forces.
Gratitude and resentment co-exist among Dafa disciples, no matter if there is predestined relationship or not, and no matter whether or not it is a good or bad one. Should we let gratitude and resentment control us practitioners? Gratitude and resentment exist between Dafa disciples and everyday people. Should we let this impact our offering people salvation? Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period should not look at the so-called predestined relationship, no matter how far back it goes, no matter how beautiful or awful it looks, or even no matter if it exists or not. It is wrong to follow predestined relationships. If we do, it means we have forgotten that Master's Fa is the fundamental basis of our lives, have forgotten the purpose of our cultivation, and have forgotten that we are Dafa disciples during this Fa-rectification period.
Predestined relationships do exist, but Dafa disciples should not be controlled by them, nor should we treat them as principles of cultivation. Even from the perspective of individual cultivation, cultivators will eventually break away from everything in the world, including breaking away from predestined relationships.
Being Sentimental is Not the State of a Cultivator
(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher said,
"So then for a human being what's the meaning of life? It's to experience the feeling you get from being attached to self-interest and enjoying the course of a human life soaked in emotion. Think about how pitiful that is, and what kind of feeling that really is. They're happy when they get something and miserable when they lose it; when they eat meat they find it tasty, and when they eat candy they find it sweet... but in the human world there's also bitter, biting, and painful things, there are the feelings young people have which come from emotional attachments, and then there are the feelings people in different social strata have as they chase after, gain, or lose things over the course of their lives--even though those gains and losses aren't something that really come from effort. That's how people are when they live in this world. People are so pitiable! And yet people just can't see through this so-called "reality," nor do they want to."

Each person has his or her own characteristics, individual personality and disposition. However, it was not until today that I came to understand that some of my so-called characteristics did not come with birth, and yet I mistakenly thought that they were a part of me. My acknowledgement of them as me has created huge obstacles on my path of diligent cultivation and in my doing the three things that Master asks us to do during Fa-rectification. What I most strongly and erroneously saw as me was the "sentimentality" I felt.
I have always been a rather introverted person since childhood, unlike other boys who enjoyed playing and having fun. All my teachers and classmates said that I was a really quiet boy, as elegant as a young girl. My mom's friends used to always pat me on my head with a smile and praise me for being such a nice boy. As they made such remarks, they always showed approval in their eyes.
After I entered senior high school and saw all the liveliness and laughter around me, I began to feel a bit lonely. With the feelings of loneliness and the expectations for approval, the peacefulness I used to feel in myself was no longer there. I began to feel concerned about how others treated me and what others said about me. I had also become a bit moody as the environment around me changed.
When I moved on to the university, I attempted to change my introverted personality by trying to make more friends. When I saw others smoking and drinking, I would try to do the same. When I saw others looking for girlfriends, I also became restless, worrying about personal gains and losses. Life was really trying.
For a long time, even after I obtained the Fa, I could not completely get rid of this state of mind. For a while, I felt really miserable, and I thought that Dafa could not free me from this misery. Both my parents are Dafa practitioners, and when they urged me on I would be a bit more diligent, but most of the time I failed to treat myself as a Dafa practitioner deep in my heart. Due to such a state of mind, I committed big blunders in the area of sensual and carnal desires, and I only started to reflect on myself when I was overwhelmed with regret. I would write it out and share it with everyone when I was completely clearheaded.
My sensitive and fragile personality was formed unwittingly, and I had unconsciously enhanced it, which for a long time controlled my feelings and behavior. To me, the direct and adverse consequences of such "sentimentality" include the following:
First, it leads to constant feelings of low self-esteem, lack of confidence, uncertainty about one's own choice or decisions, and an inability to distinguish right from wrong. Master said,
"Everything in the world was established and created for the Fa-rectification, and Dafa disciples are the great figures of our time. Since ancient times the beings in all realms have waited in anticipation. Gather up and rescue the beings that you are to save! Have righteous thoughts and righteous actions, dissolve all hindrances, and spread the facts widely. Divine beings are among men."

Master has told us about our great mission, and our greatness lies in the fact that we are connected with the Fa-rectification. Therefore, any sense of inferiority on our part shows that we are not steadfast in our belief in Master and the Fa. Besides, under the circumstances when the old forces are watching us covetously and menacingly, if we cannot distinguish right from wrong and cannot strengthen our righteous thoughts in the face of various interferences and false appearances, we would easily go astray onto a path that could destroy us. The reason that many practitioners who had listened to the evil slander and gave up cultivation was largely because they did not have confidence in themselves and they also lacked confidence in Master.
Second, it can lead one to be indecisive and hesitant to do the things a practitioner should. Moreover, even if one is able to do these things, he finds it hard to see it through to the end and is often interfered with by external factors and his own thought karma. Master requires the following of us:
"As Dafa disciples tell people the facts,
It's like sharp swords shooting out together from their mouths,
Shredding apart the rotten demons' lies.
Lose no time and save them, hurry up and tell them."
("Hurry up and Tell Them" in 2002)
Time is pressing, and as the only hope for sentient beings to be saved, we cannot wait or hesitate any longer.
Third, it leads to poor self-constraint and an inability to be one's own master. Rationality, it seems, cannot overcome sentimentality. One often fails to conduct oneself in a righteous manner. By and by, one's main consciousness becomes weaker and weaker, and he is easily distracted and has an inadequate ability to resist undesirable temptations. He is also easily lured by lust and becomes deeply trapped. Once he has developed an attachment to something or somebody, he tends to sink deeply. Master said,
"When a cultivator can't handle himself well it's hard to save him, and there's a good chance he'll ruin himself." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture 6)
Fourthly, one can easily fall into a state of self-blame and of thinking that the sentimentality is a reflection of oneself, not being aware that the thing to do is to pick oneself up and make up for the losses caused by the mistakes. Sometimes when the self-blame becomes too heavy one might lose the courage to start afresh, thus giving oneself up as hopeless and becoming an everyday person. In this way, a person has let down Master's expectations and merciful salvation.
Such so-called "sentimentality" is somewhat different from ordinary attachment, as many people take it as a kind of inborn temperament. In fact, it is not so, and it has played a rather big, negative role in Dafa practitioners' efforts to validate the Fa and save sentient beings. Because it is something that is not easily detected and in many cases it developed during childhood, it is therefore not easy to let go of. Like an addiction to smoking, drinking or drugs, it can trap people easily and make them indulge themselves. Master said,
"Some people do know it's bad, but they just can't quit. I can tell you that it's actually because they don't have the right thoughts guiding them, so it's not easy for them to just up and quit. See yourself as a cultivator, and treat it as an attachment today and try to quit, see if you can quit." (Lecture Seven in Zhuan Falun)
In fact, once we realize its damaging effect, it is nothing to us genuine cultivators.
"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference")
As long as we are steadfast in our Fa-study and fill our mind with the Fa, such sentimentality would have no place to shelter itself. Furthermore, a genuine cultivator would not have the leisure and mood to indulge in "sentimentality!"

Almost paralyzed; Doctors could do nothing
Mr. Lin Shenqi, 48 years old, is the chief of a production department in a Taiwan company. He was assigned to the northeast area of Mainland China years ago. Due to the severe weather, he started suffering from a serious disease. When he got back to Taiwan, his limbs were almost paralyzed and he could hardly turn his neck. Doctors said that it was probably due to cervical atrophy, and that there was only a 50224accossibility that surgery could successfully heal it. His neck needed to be fixed. However, if the surgery failed, he wouldn't be able to move his neck for the rest of his life. He was too afraid to have the surgery. If it failed, he would become semi-paralyzed, and he didn't want to live like that. Actually, at that time, besides his neck, his limbs were also diseased. He could hardly move them and he could only walk slowly with assistance and help while going up and down stairs. Sometimes he thought that while some people would commit suicide because of suffering from their sicknesses, he could not even do that as he could hardly move his neck and limbs.
He visited a lot of famous doctors. He also tried Chinese medicine, western medicine, massage and so on, but none of them helped. He spent 2 years suffering while searching for good doctors. Because of this situation, his company changed his assignment and only had him do very light work.
Starting to practice Falun Dafa
In April 25, 1999, more than 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. The media in China and overseas reported this event, which made the practice widely known in Taiwan. Mr. Lin read a lot of reports in the newspapers and thought that if Falun Gong could really heal sickness, he would learn it too. When asked why he was not scared by the negative reports from the CCP media, he laughed and said, "I have been to Mainland China for business and had contact with some local government officials, so I know very well the CCP lies. What they say is usually the opposite of what they do. What that government says is not reliable."
So, he read some other references. For example, there were lots of reviews and comments on Falun Gong written by professors, doctors and other elites in the society, in the newspapers. All the opinions about Falun Gong from them were very positive. They read Falun Gong books, and did the exercises. Their behavior was the opposite of what the Chinese government had described in their propaganda, so Mr. Lin decided to practice Falun Gong.
The whole family benefits from cultivation; cultivate your xinxing; consider others first
After 6 months of practicing Falun Gong, his neck and limbs could finally freely move. Therefore he cultivated more diligently and always tried to improve his xinxing level. Today, all of his sicknesses are gone and he walks as a normal person. One cannot tell that, 6 years ago, he could not even climb the stairs. Other sicknesses that he had for a long time, such as a gastric ulcer, were also healed. He didn't spend any money or take any medicine, but all his sicknesses were healed. Also, just like what Master said, "Since you practice a righteous way, your practice will benefit others." (Zhuan Falun, from the English version dated March 2000) Probably due to the benevolent environment, his family members, who are not practitioners, also were freed of their illnesses.
Although his cultivation seems to be easy now, he had a lot of tribulations at the beginning. He wife was always unhappy with it and tried to stop him from attending Falun Gong activities. For a period of time, he didn't want to see his wife. After getting off work, he didn't want to go home, and he felt like his wife was an obstacle in his cultivation, who was slowing down his improvement. One day a thought jumped into his mind, "Since there are no coincidences in cultivation, why don't I take all of these tribulations as tests of my xinxing and treat my wife as a test giver?"
"Good or evil comes from a person's spontaneous thought." (Zhuan Falun) When he changed his thinking, he found that it was not hard to face his wife every day. No matter what his wife said, he could always take it humbly. As a cultivator, he always tried to guide himself with the standard of "always placing others before ourselves," and considering others first. Gradually, his wife caused him less and less difficulty. Nowadays, although his wife is not a Falun Gong practitioner yet, when doing business, she always recommends Falun Gong and gives Falun Gong materials to her customers. The change in his wife is due to the improvement that Mr. Lin has achieved both physically and spiritually.
Co-workers become fellow practitioners; Company becomes an exercise site
At the beginning, when Mr. Lin recommended Falun Gong to his colleagues, they always said, "Maybe later. Let's see what you achieve." He was not frustrated. He followed the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Besides the fact that he became healthier and healthier, and more and more energetic every day, his selfless, considerate behavior also made his colleagues change their attitude towards Falun Gong.
In the second year of his cultivation, many of them wanted to learn Falun Gong. They said, "We see that you have become healthier and look younger. Also you are nice to people in every situation. So, we want to learn too."
So this way, his colleagues became his fellow practitioners, and his company also became an exercise site. Mr. Lin uses his lunchtime and his rest time to teach them the exercises and leads them Fa study. His colleagues said, "Before, we always felt tired after the noon nap. After practicing Falun Gong, we feel more energetic even without a nap."
His son said, "Dad, I don't think I should live like this anymore."
Mr. Lin said that his cultivation has had a big influence on his children too. He said that, before cultivating, he was like a servant to his children. When the kids were learning the piano or violin, he was always with them, serving them and protecting them. After cultivating, he realized that all the success, failure, smoothness and tribulations in one's life have karmic relationships and he'd better treat everything naturally. Therefore, he put down the attachment to his children's achievements. Instead, he just told his children to follow the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and be a good person in any situation.
One day, before an entrance exam, his son, who never used to take anything seriously, said to him, "Dad, I don't think I should live like this anymore. I should take some review courses, and study hard for the exam." He was touched by his son's sincere words. He knew that all of his son's changes came from Falun Dafa. His son was influenced in this environment, so his original pure, kind nature appeared after all. Three months later, his son passed the exam and entered the school he wanted to go to.
Looking back at all those years, Mr. Lin keeps saying, "How lucky I have been." From a paralyzed person, he became a healthy, happy man. All his colleagues and relatives witnessed the wonderfulness of Dafa. Some of them also started cultivating, and some of them, while not practitioners themselves, support Dafa very much. Somebody said, "One step makes one footprint. There are always marks if one has been there." Although there is no dramatic miracle in Mr. Lin Shenqi's cultivation story, we can still see the power of Dafa in it.
People's Hearts Determine Their Futures
Sincerely Reciting "Falun Dafa Is Good" I Recovered from the Brink of Death with Hepatitis
(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Fengying. I live in Northern Sichuan Province and I am 43 years old. My husband and I own a pharmacy, which provides a living for our family. We are good people and our business has done well.
My health is not good. On April 29th of this year, I went to the hospital for an examination. I was diagnosed with toxic hepatitis. The doctor wrote me a prescription. After I went home, I took the prescribed medicines and injections for a few days, but my situation didn't improve. I was hospitalized in Northern Sichuan Medical College in Nanchong City for a week, but my condition continued to deteriorate. I was transferred to the local hospital for more than a month, as my health became steadily worse. All the skin on my body turned yellow, and my eyes were yellow and shiny. My whole body was itching and in pain. I couldn't hold down any food.
My husband asked the doctor what we should do. The doctor said, "Fewer than one in ten patients with liver necrosis like her survive!"
My husband had to ask a Chinese medical expert in Sichuan Medical College to write a prescription, and he spent more than 2,000 yuan on medicine. I took the medicine twice, but it really didn't help. Every afternoon, my temperature went as high as 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). My mom was very worried. She invited a soothsayer to use magic, but that also failed. When everything else we'd tried failed, we went to the West China Center of Medicine to seek help. Because my illness was so severe, however, the outpatient service department refused to accept me. After my husband repeatedly pleaded with them, they finally accepted me.
After consultations among many experts, they reached the conclusion that "this illness is difficult to cure," and listed me in critical condition. After 10 days of emergency treatment, my condition seemed to improve slightly, and then suddenly got worse. I was in a coma. Liquid began to accumulate in my abdomen. I spit up blood, and blood was in my stool. The hospital again listed me in critical condition. The experts tried their best to save me; and I continued to live. Every day I received transfusions of blood plasma and infusions of albumin. In my condition I was barely able to drink water.
During my hospitalization at the West China Center of Medicine, we spent between 70,000 and 80,000 yuan on my medical expenses, and my weight fell from 65 kilograms (143 pounds) to 40 kilograms (88 pounds). Finally, my liver was completely dead, and I was urinating the transfused blood directly. My chances of survival were approaching zero.
My family was afraid that I might die somewhere other than my own hometown, so they decided to put me in the car and take me back home.
Perhaps fate had it that I should not die. We met a warm-hearted gentleman before we drove back home. After he inquired about my situation, he said, "Don't worry. When you get back home, you can just recite, "Falun Dafa is good! Zhen-Shan-Ren is good!"
So I took his advice. On the road, I continuously recited these two sentences. It is strange that I used to suffer from carsickness, but during the trip of more than 500 kilometers, and having not eaten or drank for the previous seven or eight days, I wasn't sick at all. I was in good spirits.
I was very thin and weak when I got home, and I lied on the bed like a dead person. The relatives and friends who came to see me all thought that I would soon die.
At that time I didn't think about anything, I just continuously recited, "Falun Dafa is good! Zhen-Shan-Ren is good!" I was surprised to find that I could eat half a bowl of rice soup in the evening!
After about 10 days, I could use the restroom by myself. Previously, I'd been unable even to sit.
After a month, I could help my husband take care of the store. My weight increased from 40 kilograms (88 pounds) to 60 kilograms (132 pounds) within 45 days!
From the day I left the hospital to this day, I haven't taken any medicine, but my body has actually recovered incredibly!
Those who know me all say it was a "miracle" and asked me what kind of remedy or magic potion I took. I told them that I didn't take any medicine. Instead, I just recited, "Falun Dafa is good! Zhen-Shan-Ren is good!" Then I recovered! All my friends were shocked when they heard the story.
Falun Dafa saved me! My whole family deeply appreciates Master Li Hongzhi for saving my life!
Incidences of Karmic Retribution Befall the Persecutors of Falun Gong

Policeman from Xian police station, Dawa county, Panjin city, Liaoning province dies in auto accident
The policeman Li Haiying from Xian police station, Dawa County, Panjin city, Liaoning province, often participated in disturbing, searching, and kidnapping Dafa practitioners. He followed Jiang's political gangs to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners clarified the truth to him many times and reminded him of the heavenly principle that "Good is rewarded with good and evil meets evil."
In May 2005, when Li drove to Sanjiaozhou road, his car suddenly rushed off of the road and dropped to the bottom of a ditch. Li was bounced out of the car with his body upside down and died at only 25 years old.
Incidences of retribution in Sichuan
Xu Chaoyou, is the head of the Shuitang village, Miyi county, Panzhihua city, Sichuan province. Since the persecution of Falun gong started in 1999, he made many efforts in participating in the persecution.
In 2000, a brainwash class was set up in the village. Xu Chaoyou and the other people from the village persecuted Dafa practitioners. He monitored the practitioners to run along a circle including the eldest practitioner over 70 years old. If they ran a small circle, he would make them to run a bigger circle. The practitioners were made to run for an hour and then stand for an hour even at night, and were prohibited from going to sleep.
Before the spring festival in 2005, he notified all the group leaders to "take good care of" the practitioners and report to him wherever they go.
Xu Chaoyou recently fell off a motorcycle and broke his back. He was disabled and bed ridden. He also got a high fever at that time. He went to Panzhihua city hospital and was examined and was found to have late-stage liver cancer.
Fan Zexian is the women president of Shutang village, Miyi County. In 2000, her family opened a store at the side of the road. If she found a practitioner passing by her home, she would call Xu Chaoyou. Xu Chaoyou would ask the practitioners nearby if they went here to send Master's scriptures. Later Fan Zexian was disabled and died in 2001.
610 office worker in Quanqiao village, Duozhuang town, Mengying County, Shandong Province meets with retribution
Su Zhaojun (about 27 years old) from the 610 office in the village of Duozhuang town, Mengying county, Shandong province, got intestinal cancer in the spring of 2005. He had a second surgery due to the severe intestinal glutinousness even before the doctor removed the sutures from the first surgery. He underwent surgery twice in two weeks.
Su Zhaojun is so skinny that only skin and bones are left.
Policeman from Jiaohu police station, Gezhouba, Yichang city, Hubei province meets retribution
Shuai Wangwei was in his early 40s. He was found dead floating in a field in June of 2005. Since July 20th, 1999, he and fellow workers at the police station were poisoned by Jiang's political gang. They madly persecuted and disturbed practitioners in their area and did not listen to the practitioners' kind advice. He left behind a 10 year old child after he died. It was very miserable. According to a person who knew Shuai Wangwei very well, he was very healthy and a good swimmer. He died suddenly. We truly hope that Shuai Wangwei's death will give a wake up call for the rest of the police. Don't persecute the practitioners any more. Good is rewarded with good and evil meets evil. Who is willing to joke with their own lives?

A Corrupt Official
Kou Xianqing was a corrupt official before the persecution of Falun Gong started. After the persecution started in 1999, he followed Jiang Zemin's regime and actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. While he was the police chief of Jingmen City, he was directly responsible for all of the Falun Gong practitioners that were arrested and subsequently detained and sent to forced labor camps. He died of heart disease on August 16, 2005. He was 60 years old.
The Communist Party Secretary of Suzhuang Village, Baotun Township, Fugou County, Henan Province, Met With Karmic Retribution
He Hongtian, the Communist Party Secretary of Suzhuang Village, Baotun Township, followed Jiang Zemin's regime and actively participated in the persecution since July 20, 1999. On October 26, 1999, a local practitioner gave He Hongtian a flyer that clarified the truth about Falun Gong. He called the police to arrest the practitioner. He also said, "I can send all of you (practitioners) to prison anytime." His whole family is very hostile toward Falun Gong practitioners.
In the spring 2001, his wife suddenly became paralyzed and was hospitalized. He did not enlighten to or believe that it was a result of karmic retribution. In March 2004, his wife, who had just gotten better, broke her arm. On July 30, 2005, she broke her bone again, and spent 50,000 to 60,000 yuan but still the bone would not heal. The villagers all say that he met with karmic retribution for persecuting practitioners.
Tragedy in Tongjiang County, Sichuan Province, Makes People Think
Tongjiang County is a remote county in Sichuan Province. It is the one of places where the CCP started. To prevent people from knowing the truth about Falun Gong, four people from the Country Broadcasting Bureau went to the countryside to take people's satellite receivers away. On the way, they encountered flooding. Their boats tipped over and they all died.
Policeman at 610 Office in Shenzhou City, Hebei Province, Meets with Karmic Retribution
Cao Zangquan, 51 years old, came from Qianjing Village, Hujiachi Township. He was a policeman at Shenzhou Detention Center before he died. Before 1999, he was a police officer at the Shiyou Police Station. After the persecution of Falun Gong started, in order to gain political prestige, he came to organize the police force for the 610 Office. Although he did not directly beat and curse practitioners, in his heart he was cruel and brutal to them and helped organize the persecution behind the scenes. He loyally implemented all of the 610 Office policies to persecute practitioners. When the 610 Office was later changed to the Chinese Communist Party "Guard Office," he was transferred to a detention center.
On July 30, 2005, around 7 a.m., Cao was riding a motorcycle to work. For no apparent reason he suddenly hit a speeding car. His head was so crushed that no one could recognize him. He died on the spot.
I sincerely hope that the officials and policemen who are deceived by the CCP learn a lesson from Cao's death. Please be nice to Falun Dafa and practitioners.

1. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Yanfei Tortured to Near Death at the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Lu Yanfei, 45, was the Director of the Chuanshan County Women's Committee in Suining City. In 2000, she went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and was arrested. She was sent to the Suining Public Security Bureau and sentenced to four years in prison. She was released in April 2004. She persisted in cultivation of Falun Dafa, so the 610 Office arrested her again. They sentenced her to serve another three years of hard labor. She is now at the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province. Her life is in grave danger.
2. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qui Jianbin Suffers Long-term Torture in Tailai Prison
Mr. Qui Jianbin has been imprisoned in the fourth unit of the fifth battalion at Tailai Prison. He has become very thin from the inhuman torture he has endured. His life is in grave danger. Policeman Zhang Weijia tortures Mr. Qui all the time without reason. He ties him to a board during the day and hangs him suspended in the air night.

Ms. Sun Chongzhen, 41, is from Shigougong Village in Dadian Township of Junan County, Shandong Province. On July 11, 2003, she was clarifying the truth to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested and sent to the Junan Detention Center for one month. Later, she was imprisoned at the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp for three years. She was severely tortured because of her persistence in Falun Dafa cultivation. She has been in a confinement cell four times. The confinement cell was once completely filled with Dafa practitioners. They were also imprisoned in the nauseous smelling restroom. In June 2005, Ms. Sun was moved to the strict discipline section.
4. [Zhangjiachuan County, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhao Weijun Arrested and Detained
Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Weijun from Zhangjiachuan County once served two years of hard labor and suffered inhuman torture. On February 10, 2005, the second day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, a group of policemen from the Zhangjiachuan Public Security Bureau arrested Mr. Zhao and took him to prison. The county procurator brought a suit against him in July 2005. On August 18, 2005, he and 27 criminal prisoners were tied together and taken to Longshan Square. There they were put on display in a public parade. Later they were displayed at Zhangjiachuan as well.
Zhao Weijun has been imprisoned at the Zhangjiachuan Prison for more than 7 months now. The county prosecutor has brought a suit against him and he is awaiting trial.

Someone reported Ms. Wang Yujia, a Dafa practitioner from Huaihai City, in order to receive a 500 yuan reward. The charge was clarifying the truth to people, for which, she was arrested and detained at the Hecheng Detention Center in Huaihai City.

The Songshan Police Station Branch in Chifeng City continued to detain Ms Feng Li even after she was infected with a contagious, epidemic type disease. She was sentenced to serve hard labor and secretly sent to a forced labor camp, without her family being notified.
Ms. Feng was beaten severely while in detention. She is now being detained in the Mengwulanhaote Tumuji Education Center in Xingan, Inner Mongolia and is in isolation.

9. [Guangan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Yunhui Sentenced to One Year in Prison for Urging People to Resign from the Communist Party
In April 2005, when returning home to Huaying City from their business trip, Guangan Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Yunhui and her husband Mr. Lao Lei were arrested for urging people to resign from the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. Mr. Lao was released through the help of friends and relatives, but Ms. Wang was sentenced to one year in prison.

Mr. Ma Benshun from Chengde City, Hebei Province was sentenced to 5 years in prison and is being detained at the Baoding City Prison. His wife, Fan Xiuqin, was also sentenced to 5 years and is being detained at the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison. Their daughter, Ma Zhaoming, was born on May 1, 1996. Her grandfather, Ma Congbin and grandmother, Xie Yuzhen are now taking care of her.
11. [Chongqing City] The Police Arrested Ms. Duan Zaiying at the Train Station for Clarifying the Truth
Ms. Duan Zaiying is a Dafa practitioner from Wangjiaba, Huaxi Township, Banan Section, Chongqing City and is about 50 years old. In August 2005, the police arrested her at the Chongqing City Caiyuanba Train Station because she was clarifying the truth there.

Mr. Zhang Yinlong, about 63, is a Dafa practitioner from Chengdu City. In late May 2005, he went to Bazhong to clarify the truth. The police tried to extort money from his family, telling them that he would receive and easier sentence if they would pay 65,000 yuan.

At about 4 p.m. on August 25, 2005, Ms. Han Yufang, over 60, was arrested and sent to the Wuhan City Yangyuan Brainwashing Center.

15. [Baicheng, Jilin Province] Mr. Shen Lixin Detained in Siping Prison
Mr. Shen Lixin is from Baicheng, Jilin Province and was on the teaching staff at Zhenjia Prison. He persists in Falun Dafa cultivation and is unwilling to renounce Falun Gong. On August 31, 2004, the police arrested him in Zuojia Township of Jilin City. He was detained in the Jilin City Third Detention Center for one day and then sent back to Zhenjai. He asked to see his family. When his father-in-law went to see him, he was tied on a tiger bench and couldn't move. Mr. Shen is now detained in the Siping Prison.

17. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Xuncheng Sent to the Guanghan Brainwashing Center
At about 10 a.m. on August 2, 2005, the 610 Office in Mianzhu City of Sichuan Province arrested Mr. Yang Xuncheng at his work unit in the Mianzhu City Electric Company. They sent him to the Guanghan Brainwashing Center. On the way to the Guanghan, Peng Yuanfu, Deputy Secretary of the Mianzhu City Political and Legal Committee, beat Mr. Yang until the blood from his mouth and nose soaked his clothing. There is still a clearly visible mark on his left cheek even after twenty days.
His 80 years old parents went to the unit to ask for his release, but were told he will be released only when he stops practicing Falun Gong.

Weifang City 610 Office Head Violated the Law without Restraint
On the evening of May 10, 2005, Weifang City 610 Office workers stormed into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Zhonghua and ransacked it without showing any documents. They stole his computer, his father's bankbook, 400 yuan in cash and some computer CDs before arresting him and taking him to the Fangzi District Detention Center. Because the family pressured them, the police released him after 28 days. However one day before the release, Li Chao (male) from the 610 Office extorted 5000 yuan in cash from Mr Sun's older sister without giving her a receipt. His wife asked the police to return their possessions and pointed out that it was illegal to ransack their home without going through the appropriate legal procedures. One 610 Office Head told her with a contemptuous look, "I am violating the law as a law enforcer. So what? I am unreasonable. What can you do to me?"

2. Several Falun Dafa Practitioners in Laiyang City, Hunan Province Arrested
Laiyang City state security agents or police officers arrested several Falun Dafa practitioners in Laiyang City, Hunan Province. On the morning of August 22, 2005, Mr. Xie Tingyi, 76 years old, and Mr. Wang Zichun, 73 years old, were both arrested, and sent to the Laiyang City State Security Division. They are now detained in the Laiyang City Detention Center. Right after that, state security agents arrested Mr. Zeng Xinman, in his 50s. On the morning of August 24, 2005, they also arrested Mr. Liao Gaoping, 41 years old, from his workplace, the Laiyang First High School, and ransacked his home.

3. Crimes Committed by the Police from Changsheng Station in the Dongfeng District, Jiamusi City
Since July 20, 1999, police from the Changsheng Station in the Dongfeng District, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province have arrested Falun Dafa practitioners many times. Aunt Zhu, a practitioner over 70 years old, was arrested in the middle of the night and sent to a forced labor camp. The police totally ignored her family situation and left her paralyzed husband lying in bed without anyone to take care of him. The police also constantly harassed another female practitioner at her home. During 2002 and 2003, they pressured the practitioner and her husband and tried to force them to move. Because of this pressure, the practitioner's husband almost suffered a nervous breakdown, lost his rationality and often beat his wife.
