Concerned People Telling the World about Falun Gong and the Persecution in China: Clear Wisdom [Tuesday, August 30, 2005 ]

Around noon on a day in March of 2002, I was having lunch with my family when several people broke into my home. They claimed that they worked for the 610 Office in Yanqing County, Beijing. They abducted me to the Yanqing Brainwashing Class where I suffered ruthless mental torture. I was forced to watch TV programs and listen to tapes that slandered Dafa and Teacher. They also forced us to denounce Dafa and Teacher and to step on Teacher's photo. I refused to do that. As a result, I was beaten into unconsciousness twice with wounds covering my body and I was unable to sleep at night.

People from the 610 Office told me, "The central government has given the order. Any practitioner who refuses to denounce Falun Gong or be transformed will be sent to a labor camp. If they still refuse in the labor camp, they will be severely beaten. If death occurs, it will be reported as suicide. Nowadays it is the Chinese Communist Party that controls the power. If it says black, it is black. If it says white, then it is white. Anyone who refuses to denounce Falun Gong will never manage to come out of the labor camp alive. If you are not 'transformed,' you are dead."

All of the following I have either experienced or witnessed in the labor camp:

Because I refused to write a guarantee statement, I was sentenced to two years in a labor camp by Yanqing Public Security. I was detained at the Daxing County Tuanhe Labor Camp in Beijing. I suffered all kinds of brutal tortures, including being beaten, hung up, shocked with electric batons, forced to sit in awkward and painful positions and deprived of sleep. During the cold winter days the police incited ten criminals to pour cold water on me. I fainted immediately and fell to the ground. Upon regaining consciousness, two guards shocked me with high voltage electric batons. My body consequently jumped involuntarily.

I also witnessed the torture suffered by a female practitioner in her twenties. The police incited several drug addicts to tie her up to a bed. They then sat on her abdomen, chest, legs and arms and force-fed her with two bowls of salty water. Her abdomen immediately expanded to such an extent that it looked almost about to burst. Then they released her. She was unable to get up. Police then ordered one criminal to pull her up and leaned her against the wall. Another inmate ruthlessly kicked and stomped on her abdomen. Water gushed out from her mouth and nose and her abdomen was no longer expanded. They then force-fed her again and repeated the procedure of stomping on her. After several repetitions of this torture, the police ordered the inmates to tie her up to the bed for two days straight, during which they force-fed her once again. She was forced to relieve herself on the bed. On the third day when I saw her, she was mentally disorientated and did not say a word. She would not speak, and only stared at the wall motionlessly. Her face was covered with big lumps. On the fourth day, the vicious perpetrators transferred her to the second floor and escalated the torture. I heard that she died on the eleventh day. They notified her family that she carried on a hunger strike and died from stomach bleeding.

In Tuanhe Labor Camp, senior practitioners are still subjected to forced intense labor and routine army marches. I once saw an older woman unable to keep up the march. The police forced her to crawl forward anyways. Some practitioners suffered broken arms, and others' faces had thick burned skin as a result of electric shocks. It was truly miserable. When practitioners' families came to visit, the police would allow the practitioners to wash their clothes so that they appeared to be clean and well looked after. In order to cover up their crimes, they would allow practitioners to eat some vegetables, but they strictly monitored the conversation and never allowed any leakage of the torture. If anyone on the outside reported on their crimes, they would come down to each cell and ask who told the truth. Then they would escalate the torture of everyone.

The above is my own experience in a labor camp where I personally witnessed the torture of Falun Gong practitioners.

Children of Persecuted Dafa Practitioners Forced to Live in Misery

(Clearwisdom.net) These children live in misery. Their parents were either illegally sentenced to prison, placed in mental hospitals, or forced into homelessness because they practice Falun Gong. They have prematurely lost the care and nurturing only a parent can provide and now live a cold, bitter life.

Father Died, Mother Imprisoned - Sixteen-Year-Old Struggles to Survive

Sixteen-year-Old Chen Yongzhu lives in Renhe District, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province. When Yongzhu was two, his father left the world because of sickness. Since then he has lived with his mother, Chen Hequn. Because Hequn practiced Falun Gong, she was illegally arrested in 2003 and sentenced to seven and half years in prison. Deprived of maternal love, Yongzhu had to live alone.

Chen Hequn's work unit once threatened her with losing her job if she did not write a guarantee to not practice Falun Gong. She refused, lost her job and was given only 300 yuan a month for living expenses. After his mother was arrested, Yongzhu struggled to survive.

Father Died, Mother Arrested - A Family Broken Up

Wang Wei is 21, his younger brother is 17 and his younger sister Xiaoqin is only 9. They live in Dabaishui Village, Yanzhuang Town, Yuanping City, in Shanxi Province.

Wei's father, Wang Xinming, died of sickness in July 2001. Because she practiced Falun Gong, their mother Qi Qiaozhen, 45 years old, was taken from her home by police from the Yuanping municipal public security bureau on September 30, 2003. Given a 5-year sentence, Wei's mother is now imprisoned in the Yuci female prison.

After Qiaozhen's arrest, a good family was broken up. Unable to maintain a living, Wei had to take his younger brother with him to find temporary jobs in other areas. Currently his younger sister Wang Xiaoqin lives with their 70-year-old grandfather, Wang Huanru.

Shan Jie is Growing Up in Misery

Shan Jie, a 20-year-old youth, lives in Lingyuan, Liaoning Province and has grown up alone without parents to care for him.

Shan Jie's father, Shan Baogui, and mother, Huang Guimei, are Dafa disciples. In October 1999, both of them went to the capital to appeal for Falun Gong. They were arrested for appealing for Falun Dafa in Beijing, and later sent to a labor camp for two years.

In April 2002, Shan Baogui was forced to be destitute and become homeless. His mother was imprisoned in the second detention center at Lingyuan city and later committed to the Lingyuan municipal mental hospital.

Because his parents were persecuted continuously from the time he was fourteen, Shan Jie has grown up in misery. He depends mainly on his grandparents who are both over seventy years old. In September 2004, with the help of other relatives and friends, Shan Jie began his studies at a technical institute.

Information on Shan Jie's parents: Mr. Shan Baogui, 45, born on February 23, 1960, was on staff at Xiangdong Chemical Factory. He was dismissed in 1999 after being illegally put into a labor camp because he practiced Falun Dafa. Ms. Huang Guimei, 44, was born on March 16, 1961 and worked at the scientific research institute of Xiangdong Chemical Factory. She was dismissed from the factory in August 2001.

Ms. Dong Jingya in Critical Condition: Masanjia Labor Camp Blocks News and Continues to Persecute Her

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Dong Jingya, a building designer and a Falun Gong practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, participated in rescuing fellow practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong. She was arrested for her role in aiding Gao Rongrong, who was herself later arrested again, and tortured to death. Ms. Dong went on hunger strike to resist the persecution in Masanjia Labor Camp. So far, it has been nearly four months and she is now in critical condition. The authorities at Masanjia said Ms. Dong is still fasting and added, "Absolutely do not allow her to see visitors."

Late in July 2005, when someone who was concerned about her called the labor camp asking to visit Ms. Dong, a policeman surnamed Jiang, from the 1^st Division said: "She is not allowed to see any visitors--definitely no visitors." When Jiang heard that the caller had exposed the barbaric force-feeding, drug injections, and other persecution Ms. Dong and other Dafa practitioners in Masanjia had been forced to endure, and that the evildoers would be investigated in accordance with the law, he said: "You're threatening me," and quickly hung up the telephone.

In late July, a middle-aged policewoman said on the telephone: "We absolutely do not allow Dong Jingya to have visitors unless the visitor has a letter of introduction." After she learned that the visitor had a letter of introduction, she hurriedly changed her statement: "Even if you have a letter of introduction, it is absolutely not allowed! Absolutely not allowed!" Then the visitor asked the policewoman why she said so "absolutely." Was it because the persecution Ms. Dong had undergone had been exposed? The visitor told her that her conduct has been recorded and is on file. Evildoers will be judged according to heavenly principles and justice will be met. The policewoman lowered her voice to say: "If you want to see her, you must find the chief of the squad she was in." Then she said incoherently: "The duty chiefs take turns every several days." Then she hung up. The caller called back and nobody answered the phone.

At the beginning of July, the chief of the 1^st Division, Ren Hongzan (female in her 20s) said to Ms. Dong's family members over the telephone: "She is not in need of anything, but she is short of money for medical expenses. Send money! "

Masanjia refuses to disclose any news regarding Ms. Dong. We only know her health is extremely bad. As early as in June, the wicked doctor Cao Yujie inserted a tube into her mouth to feed her and had her tied to an iron bed where she injected her with six bottles of drugs every day. She was sent many times to a "medical university" and to Masanjia Labor Camp hospital to be "rescued".

Ms Dong graduated from Shenyang Architectural Engineering College in 1994. She was engaged in architectural design work at the Liaoning Provincial Construction Design Institute. She worked diligently and had a professional attitude. In 1997, she started to practice Falun Gong. She benefited very much from the practice both in body and mind. After the persecution began, she was compelled to be destitute and homeless for three to four years. On March 6, 2005, she was illegally arrested by Shenyang Municipal Security Division. She was detained in the 2^nd unit for women in Masanjia Labor Camp where she fasted about three months to protest the persecution. She once had gastroesophageal reflux and vomited, she could not see things clearly, her kidneys failed, her cardiac muscles lacked sufficient blood, and she exhibited various other serious symptoms.

A Practitioner was Tortured for 7 Days and Nights by the Medieval Method, "Five Horses Pulling the Body Apart"

(Clearwisdom.net) The police in the labor camp of Ping'antai in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners by using torture to force them to give up their practice. The torture method of "Five Horses Pulling the Body Apart" was used in medieval times to execute the prisoner. Each of his limbs was tied to five horses, which were then driven in different directions. During the winter of 2003, the police adopted a similar method to torture practitioner Mr. Wang Fulong by handcuffing his wrists to the two top rails of the bunk bed with his body hanging in the air for 7 consecutive days and nights.

The Ping'antai labor camp held its Annual Winter Exercise Display during the winter season. The officials from the Provincial Labor Camp Committee came to watch. At the scene, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Fulong from the Pingliang region shouted out loud, "Falun Dafa is good." All of the people in the area were shocked.

The political instructor from the No. 2 Brigade, Zhang Zhizhong, the political instructor of the Squadron, Wei Haihua, and the Squadron Commander, Hu Shuailin, immediately took Mr. Wang back to the No. 2 Brigade. They tied him with ropes and beat him. Then they ordered all of the other inmates in the labor camp to beat him. The three of them also used two pairs of "wolf teeth cuffs" to handcuff his left and right wrists to the top rails of the bunk beds. They then pulled the beds in opposite directions. This is similar to the torture method called "Five Horses Pulling the Body Apart," which was used in medieval executions. Mr. Wang's body was left hanging in the air.

The inmates in the labor camp were all shocked by such ruthless torture. However, Mr. Wang did not yield, nor did he utter a word despite the severe pain.

Then, Mr. Chen Gang, another Falun Dafa practitioner from Tianshui, also shouted "Falun Dafa Hao" (Falun Dafa is good). He was immediately taken to the brigade office. The three police officers, Wei Haihua, Si Guojun and Jing Wenchun severely beat him until he lost consciousness. His body was covered with blood. He was then carried back to his area. His face was extremely distorted and he could not lower his chin for two months. Two practitioners, Mr. Chen Gang and Mr. Wang Shukun, went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Fulong was hung in the air for 7 days and 7 nights. During this period, the three police officers Hu Shuailin, Bian Yunsheng and Hu Jiguang got drunk and brutally beat Mr. Wang. The swinging of his body back and forth in the air was a very terrifying scene. Yan Jirong, a drug addict in the labor camp, could no longer bear to watch such brutality, so he pulled the bunk beds together a bit. In retaliation, officer Hu Shuailin cruelly kicked him and used his elbows to injure Yan's waist. As a result of his injuries, Yan Jirong couldn't work for two days. At 2:00 a.m., officer Hu Shuailin rallied the inmates and called out their names. Anyone who was slow in responding was given a savage beating. Mr. Chen Gang, who had been on a hunger strike for 6 days, was badly beaten. Hu Shuailin assembled the inmates and then dismissed them; he assembled them again, and dismissed them again. He employed this extreme behavior to terrorize the practitioners.

Police officers Wei Haihua and Hu Shuailin came to speak to the two practitioners, Mr. Chen and Mr. Wang, after the seventh day of their hunger strike. Mr. Chen and Mr. Wang insisted that the torture of Mr. Wang end as a precondition of their stopping their hunger strike.

The determined protest by Mr. Chen Gang and Mr. Wang Shukun forced instructor Wei Haihua to accept their request. Although he loosened the torture instrument on Mr. Wang, the police did not let Wang sleep on the last day. This barbaric torture of Mr. Wang, which lasted 7 days and 7 nights, resulted in his inability to move his arms and hands for half a year. He could not tend to his daily needs without the help of others during this time.

Fourteen Practitioners from Shandong, Liaoning, Hebei and Other Provinces Died of Persecution

Mr. Liu Lecheng, 60 years old, was a resident of Wujia Village, Kuiwen District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. After the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, Mr. Liu went to Beijing in 2000 to validate Dafa. Police from the local Ershilibao Police Station arrested him. He was beaten, threatened and suffered other types of persecution. He was forced to sign the Three Statements and fined 500 yuan. He was released after 15 days of detention. Soon after he was again arrested by the local police and forced to undergo brainwashing. His home was ransacked and his family members lived in fear. Mr. Liu Lecheng suffered severe torture both physically and mentally. His old illness recurred, and he died on May 17, 2005.

Mr. Meng Qingxi and his wife Liu Suwen were both practitioners and residents of Dingyu Village, Mucun Town, Weifang City, Shandong Province. They began practicing Falun Gong in 1997. In the autumn of 2000, Mr. Meng went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was taken back to his local area after being arrested. He died of persecution in the Mucun Town brainwashing center. The family is deeply in debt due to fines, and two of their children have had to quit school. To survive, 12-year-old Meng Fei has had to go to work in various places.

Mr. Wang Hongwu, 69 years old, lived in Pangjia Liangyu Village, Changle County, Shandong Province. After he obtained Falun Dafa in 1997, his hemiplegia, tracheitis and many other diseases disappeared without medical treatment. After the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, he was illegally imprisoned many times and harassed. Also, the police extorted 5,000 yuan from him. Due to the persecution, his old diseases relapsed and he died on August 29, 2001.

Mr. Wang Jingde, 74 years old, lived in Yangjiaguan Village, Sucun Town, Yinan County, Shandong Province. After contracting prostate cancer, he underwent surgery in the spring of 1998. In the summer of 1998, he started practicing Falun Gong, and his health recovered. Because of harassment and threats by the local police, he died on August 29, 2001.

Mr. Chen Lei, 37 years old, was a farmer in Houchen Village, Machang Town, Taikang County, Henan Province. He had tumors on his face before he began to practice Falun Gong. After practicing Falun Gong for two months, all of those tumors disappeared. He went to Beijing to appeal the persecution of Falun Gong and was arrested. After he was released, the local police ransacked his home and arrested him again. Unable to deal with the of terror of constant threats, Mr. Chen lost his cultivation environment and was unable to do the exercises. In early 2005 his old disease relapsed. He was diagnosed with lymph cancer and spent over 40,000 yuan for medical treatment. He died on April 13, 2005.

Mr. Zhang Dongsheng, 52 years old, was a resident of Xinglongzhuang Village, Yukou Town, Pinggu District, Beijing. His cerebral embolism vanished after practicing Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, he was illegally arrested many times and driven to homelessness for over a year. In 2002 he was again arrested and tortured. His prior illness returned after he was released. He died in July 2005.

Ms. Sun Dezhen, 71 years old, lived in North Santaizi Village, Xinmintun Town, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. After she obtained Falun Dafa in 1997, she studied the Fa and did the exercises daily. She was in very good health. After July 1999, the local police harassed her family many times and confiscated her Falun Gong books. Because her daughter and son-in-law were also Falun Gong practitioners, they too suffered persecution. Her son-in-law was arrested for distributing ""truth-clarification flyers and was illegally sentenced a prison term. Ms. Sun suffered extreme mental anguish and died on June 1, 2004.

Mr. Diao Yulian, 65 years old, was a practitioner from Fushun City, Liaoning Province. His daughter, also a practitioner, was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp twice and persecuted. The elderly man suffered severely both in mind and body. He died on May 28, 2005.

Ms. Nong Meiling, 41 years old, lived in Fujiaying Village, Lizhuang Township, Qingyuan County, Hebei Province. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1997. After July 20, 1999, she was forced to attend the local brainwashing class. Later the local township government personnel harassed and threatened her many times. She suffered severe mental persecution and was diagnosed with encephaloma. She died on January 27, 2002.

Mr. Zhang Xiqian, the father-in-law of Ms. Nong Meiling (see above), lived in Fujiaying Village, Lizhuang Township, Qingyuan County, Hebei Province. After practicing Falun Gong, he was in great health. The 82-year-old man rode a bicycle like a young man. After his daughter-in-law was persecuted to death, his heart was broken. He died on October 24, 2004.

Ms. Liu Chunling, 46 years old, was a resident of Beizi Village, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. Her leukemia vanished after she began practicing Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, the police went to her home twice to harass her. Under intense pressure and the intervention of her husband Zhao Lianyuan, Ms. Liu's prior disease returned, and she died on June 2005.

The following are cases of persecution of practitioners from Zhaojiazhuang, Yuantou Township, Zanhuang County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province:

Ms. Zhao Shuping was 37 years old. On the night of June 10, 2000, Yuantou Township government personnel arrested her. She was released after being fined. On October 27, 2001, she died.

Ms. Gu Enru, 67 years old, was frightened when her spouse was arrested illegally by Township government personnel. She died on October 26, 2003.

Ms. Zhang Huifang, 65 years old, began practicing Falun Gong in 1998. She benefited both physically and mentally. After July 20, 1999, the authorities threatened her relentlessly. She died in 2002.

Exposing the Evildoings at No. 2 "Re-education Center" of Shandong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The former Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province has now been renamed to No. 2 Re-education Center of Shandong Province.

Since July 20, 1999, the No. 2 Re-education Center of Shandong Province has been following Jiang's regime and persecuting Dafa practitioners severely. I want to expose the inhumane persecution that I have personally witnessed here.

1. Mou Zuguang, an employee at Tangjiapo Silk Factory, Qixia City, Shandong Province and Wang Guiwei, from Qixia City, Shandong Province

Due to their steadfast belief in Falun Dafa, they have been persecuted by the police. They were not allowed to sleep for more than nine months. The police watched them at all turns, and did not allow them to go to the washroom. The police handcuffed them and hung them on the window frame, without any part of their bodies touching the floor. They were tortured for a long time by being shocked with electric batons and beaten until they suffered mental disorders. They were not able to speak when released.

2. Zhuang Qi, an employee at the Special Transit Group, Frontier North Community, Boxing, Team 29, Transit Division 8, Shengli Petroleum Administrative Bureau

Because he did not want to give up his belief in Dafa, the police incited some collaborators to beat him every day so that he had wounds all over his body. The wicked people sometimes put cups on his chest then hit him through the cups. He was not allowed to sleep or go to the washroom. The police used various torture methods to torture him in the Strict Monitoring Room, such as shocking him with electronic batons and inserting cigarette butts into his nostrils. The scenes were too inhumane to look at.

3. Che Qicong, an employee at the Electricity Plant of Dezhou, Shandong Huaneng Group

Because of being steadfast in his beliefs, Che Qicong was severely tortured by the police, led by the Head, Zhao. He was not allowed to sleep for a long time. He once escaped from the re-education center with righteous thoughts, but was arrested and persecuted again.

4. Sun Zhonghua, a student at Normal College of Zaozhuang, Shandong Province

He did not want to give up his cultivation, so Wang Li and other policemen sealed his lips with tape and slapped him on the face and hands with slippers. Sometimes he was beaten and not allowed to sleep for a long time. He suffered from other types of torture as well.

5. Zhao Youqiang, from Retired Military Officials' Residence, Tai'an City, Shandong Province and Zhang Lianbin, Convenience Store, No. 71770 Troop, Laiwu City, Shandong Province

These two practitioners persisted in their belief in Falun Dafa, so they were tortured by being handcuffed and hung from the roof beams. Their bodies were hung in the air, and the skin of their wrists was torn and broken.

6. Wang Chengfu, from Xiajiazhuang Village, Sucun Town, Yinan County, Linyi District, Shandong Province

Because he did not want to give up practicing Dafa, Mr. Wang has been tortured by the police for a long period of time. He was not allowed to sleep or go to the washroom for several months. One night after midnight, a policeman walked into his cell and saw the collaborators beating him. He had wounds all over his body. The policeman sat down and took out his lighter to burn Mr. Wang's lips and face.

7. Pu Qinjin, an employee of Work Division 3, Gudong Oil Plant, Hekou District, Dongying City, Shandong Province

He has been tortured at the evil place since he was first detained there. Policemen Wang Li, Wang Jun, Wang Dayong, and others beat Mr. Pu severely under the wicked leaders Zhao and Zhang. Mr. Pu was not allowed to sleep, go to bathroom as he wished, or to have enough food and water. Pu Jinqin has been tortured to be unable to speak.

8. Zhao Liming, from Zhujiazhang Village, Gucheng Town, Shouguang City, Shandong Province

In order to make him give up his beliefs, the policemen at the forced labor camp have tortured Mr. Zhao with all kinds of inhumane methods. Once, he was beaten unconscious and was sent to the emergency room. The policemen still watched him closely in the hospital. When he was released after two years the police forced his family to pay for the hospital fees and food when he was hospitalized because of the torture.

Zhao Liming was reported to the police when he was clarifying the truth to others, and unlawfully sent to the forced labor camp again on July 28, 2005.

9. Man Jun, from Xuemei Village, No. 2 Rencheng District, Jining City, Shandong Province

His whole family felt happy after having obtained the Fa. His brother-in-law, also a practitioner, was beaten and force-fed, which caused his death. Mr. Man has also been tortured with inhumane methods. For example, the persecutors broke his head open with a chair. Once he said "Falun Dafa is Good" aloud in the center, which stunned everyone and threatened the evil. The policemen the dragged him to the Strict Monitoring Room and shocked him with many electric batons. The skin on his body, his thighs, his face, and his lips was all burned.

10. Wang Xinwen, from Chijiagou Village, Buyudian Town, Laiyang City, Shandong Province

The police did not allow him to sleep or to go to the washroom. He was tortured such that his body was full of wounds and his head was bleeding. His eyes were so swollen that he could not see. Once the division head, Zhao, the director of Education and transformation Office, Han, policemen, Wang Dayong, Wang Yusheng, and other policemen brought Wang Xinwen to the Strict Monitoring Room. They stripped Mr. Wang and pressed him to the floor, while cuffing his hands to a chair. The Division Head, Zhang, beat Mr. Wang with his fists and legs. Wang Yongsheng was very brutal and he hit Mr. Wang on the nose. The persecutors also shocked him with multiple electric batons on the ribs, hands, feet, and inside the thigh until the batons ran out of electricity. The police also tried to make him give in by hurting his ribs, battering him with iron chairs, and kicking him with leather shoes. It is said that Zhao Yufeng, a collaborator from the same town, followed the persecutors and tortured Mr. Wang. The collaborator only allowed Mr. Wang to wear a shirt on cold winter days, and he told others that he ruined a pair of new leather shoes by kicking Mr. Wang.

One night, policeman Wang Yunsheng would not allow Mr. Wang to sleep. Mr. Wang's legs were swollen badly, but Wang Yunsheng and the other policemen on duty hit him many times on the legs. Each time he was beaten, the pain made Mr. Wang sweat profusely. Even during the Spring Festival, the wicked persecutors would not leave him in peace. Someone saw the police beating Mr. Wang on the eve of the Spring Festival. People often see Mr. Wang being taken to the Strict Monitoring Room.

After he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, the policemen took him back to the division. They saw the police put a white plastic helmet on his head, handcuff him, and three or four policemen on duty beside him. His body was thin and emaciated.

During the SARS epidemic in 2004, the labor camp was closed and the persecution increased in the isolated center. Under Han, the director of the Education and Transformation Office, policeman Wang Li and others took Mr. Wang to a place that no one could see and beat him, trying to make him give up his beliefs. After the policemen got tired of beating him, they let the collaborators continue the torture. Mr. Wang was wounded all over his body, his toenails fell off and blood flowed everywhere. In the meantime, all the prisoners were working upstairs and could hear the policemen's swearing and the slapping and continuous beating. Everyone's heart was worried, and nobody talked. Rather, they listened closely. It was so quiet that breathing could be heard. Later, when people saw Mr. Wang, he was crippled, and there was blood all over his face and hands. His body was so swollen that people could not even recognize him. However, the evil persecutors were unable to "transform" him even with such brutal torture.

The torture that has happened to Mr. Wang in the past two years is much more severe than what is described above. In the end, he was unable to talk. It is said that the police did not allow him to sleep for four or five months, day and night, and did not allow him to use the bathroom. Because he was strictly monitored and handcuffed, he could only excrete the waste in his pants, for which he would receive more beating. Due to the long-term torture, Mr. Wang started to suffer a mental disorder. The center took him to the Jinan Mental Hospital and he was diagnosed with mental illness. He was then released to go home. The police called his family to come and pick him up, but his family was unwilling to do so. The director of the Education and Transformation Office, policeman Wang Dayong, and a few others then brought him home. It is said that the policemen wanted to force the family to pay for the check-up fees, meals and other hospital related expenses. However, no one was at Mr. Wang's home when the police arrived in the village. They had no choice but to send him to his mother's. Mr. Wang's mother is more than eighty years old and is paralyzed. She burst into tears when she saw her son. He could not hear or answer her, no matter how loudly she cried his name.

There are still more people being persecuted.

The Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Jinyang City, Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) According to information from inside sources, a few months before July 20, 2005, more than 50 practitioners in Jinyang City were arrested. They were detained in detention centers in various cities and counties. So far, two of them have been released, some are serving terms in forced labor camps, and others are in brainwashing centers.

Before July 20, 2005, every police station, residential association and some practitioners' work places joined together in taking practitioners to brainwashing centers under the pretense of wanting to talk with practitioners, going through formalities, etc. As a result, many practitioners have been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. The following is information on practitioners who have been illegally detained.

Ms. Pan Qifen, in her 50s, is from Zitong County of Jinyang City. The police arrested her on her way to work around May 2005. They searched her home. Although they did not find anything, they still threatened and coerced Ms. Pan to admit that she passed out truth-clarifying materials. Her relatives were extorted about 10,000 yuan by the police. The police told her relatives that Ms. Pan would be released, but instead they sentenced her to 2 years of forced labor.

Ms. Wang Yuan, in her 30s, is a teacher at Jinyang City Education College. She was arrested last year and the police searched her home and confiscated her computer. Mr. Wang was arrested again before July 20, 2005.

Mr. Chen Haidong, in his 40s, was a teacher of the Hydropower School in Gaoxin District of Jinyang City. Last September, he was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp because of clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to his class. The police confiscated his two computers. Mr. Chen was arrested again around July 20, 2005.

Mr. Wang Yancai, in his 50s, a retiree from the Eleventh Factory of Jinyang City, lives in Yongxing Town of Gaoxin District. He was sent to a forced labor camp because of practicing Falun Gong before. He was released after serving his term, and he was arrested again on July 20, 2005.

Ms. Feng Biqiong is a family member of someone who is working at the Automobile Steering Factory of Gaoxin District. On July 24, 2005, she was deceived into going to a brainwashing session held in the Yulong Hotel in Yulong Village of Gaoxin District. At this brainwashing session, eight people were in charge of "transforming" her. After Ms. Feng signed a "guarantee statement", she was sent back home. The officials later searched her home and confiscated two Falun Gong books.

Ms. An Zhihong is a resident of Fule Street of Jinyang City. On July 21, 2005, she was taken to a brainwashing session by members of the local residents association.

Other detained practitioners are: Ms. Gao Yan, Ms. Ming Zhu, Zhang Chunbao, Feng Wei, Yi Huajie, Yue Bing, Chui Xiaoping, and Wu Digao.

The Reality Behind the Facade of Shanghai's Prosperity

Shanghai has been designated by the CCP's regime as a showcase of China's economic reform and the resulting improvements in the people's quality of life. However, behind the scenes in this flourishing city are countless lesser-known--yet terrifying--infringements on human rights.

Recently, the news about Shanghai Falun Gong practitioners who were abducted to a forced labor camp, sentenced to prison, or persecuted to death was frequently reported on the Internet. We estimate that in May of this year, over thirty Falun Gong practitioners from Shanghai were arrested and detained in forced labor camps. These cases involve both senior citizens and youths. Several practitioners were arrested for the second or third time after being previously released from prisons or forced labor camps. For example, Ms. Han Chunyan was arrested just seven months after she was released from a 3-year prison term. Similarly, Mr. Geng Zhaojun spent 4 years in prison and was arrested once again a year later. Other practitioners, including Fa Zhengping, Lu Jinlong, Wu Qiurong, Pan Jijun, Bai Gendi and Chen Penghui, also had similar experiences. Additionally, Ge Wenxin and Ms. Li Limao passed away after repeated persecution.

It's noteworthy to mention that the persecution stories of Shanghai Falun Gong practitioners that have been reported are just a small tip of the iceberg. Many, many cases have not yet been disclosed due to the difficulty posed by obtaining information under the strict censorship of the CCP regime.

Shanghai is the place where Jiang Zemin, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong, was promoted and supported the most in his political career. Accordingly, Shanghai is also one of the places where the persecution became the most serious. But, unlike other regions of China, Shanghai authorities have never conducted the persecution openly. Instead, they surreptitiously intensify the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and try their utmost to cover up the truth about the persecution. Just as disclosed in the article, "Expose of Shanghai's Evil Judicial System," in order to prevent the spread of the truth about Dafa and cover up the facts of the cruel persecution, the Shanghai authorities use its most sophisticated secret agents, as well as the police, The National Security System, the Neighborhood Committee Network, and the Residential Community, to privately monitor, track and collect the so-called "evidence." Then, the police station or police substation secretly performs the arrest of Falun Gong practitioners. They may also manipulate previous practitioners who had succumbed to brainwashing to entrap Falun Gong practitioners. The arrested practitioners will be sentenced by the court to prison, or directly taken to a forced labor camp without trial.

Those practitioners who served their entire sentence will then be taken to brainwashing classes for further detention. Even when they are released, they still have to face continuous harassment and threats. For those steadfast practitioners against whom the authorities cannot find any evidence, the street or neighborhood committee and the institution they are affiliated with will trick them or abduct them to the brainwashing classes for further persecution. All of this persecuting is done secretly under the name of the "rule of law."

Taiwan: Photography Exhibit of Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa Held in Taipei (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 26, the photography exhibit of Falun Dafa practitioners validating the Fa, which has been in preparation for a long period of time, was solemnly held on the second floor in the community education hall in Taipei. Some precious historic photos recording Dafa practitioners' journey of validating the Fa since Falun Dafa was widely spread in Mainland China were presented to the Taiwanese people through this exhibition.

Most of the photos exhibited this time focused on displaying the magnificent feat of practitioners from all over the world peacefully resisting the persecution. The 120 photographs depict various kinds of activities that practitioners have conducted to validate the Fa. Moreover, the photos also reflect Dafa practitioners' indestructible righteous faith in the truth of the universe and their righteous thoughts and righteous actions.

The Falun Dafa Art Center provided these hard to find photos. Some photographers risked their lives to capture some of the valuable scenes. Starting from Dafa's first introduction in China, the photos portray each step in Dafa practitioners' journey of validating the Fa. The truth of Dafa is unfolded through the exhibition.

Many people stopped to view the photos. One after another, people expressed their admiration for Dafa disciples. A lot of people expressed their opposition to the persecution that is still going on in China. The sponsors arranged for some volunteers to provide detailed explanations of the exhibit and tell the story behind each of the photos.

On the first day, Minghui School students and their instructors came to visit the exhibit. Ms. Zhou Yiyi, an instructor from the school, said that all of the children wanted to view the exhibit after they learned about it. She said that the exhibit was really significant in terms of education. Some older children voluntarily served as guides for the younger children and explained the facts about Falun Gong to them.

According to the exhibit's sponsor, the photographic exhibit of Falun Dafa practitioners validating the Fa will be displayed in different places in Taiwan. In addition to on-site exhibits, the Falun Dafa Art Center will also authorize the Qihang publishing company to print photographic collections which reflect practitioners' journey of validating the Fa. A collection entitled "Journey of Fa rectification" is already published.

Meditation group Falun Gong reported Chinese procurator-general Jia Chunwang to Danish police on Sunday for what they call his persecution of the group.

Jia will be in Denmark this week to attend and speak at an international conference of prosecutors in Copenhagen.

Falun Gong's request to investigate Jia will be handled by the Public Prosecutor for Special International Crimes.

Falun Gong claims that Jia, as the former minister of public security, is responsible for persecution of the movement in China.

'Jia Chunwang had the overall responsibility for the so-called 610 office, which is created with the sole purpose of wiping out Falun Gong. Therefore, he is responsible for what has happened, and he should therefore be prosecuted,' claimed Falun Gong Denmark in a press release after it made its request.

Legal consultant for the group, Tyge Trier, said to national daily Berlingske Tidende that Denmark, according to the UN torture convention, had an obligation to conduct an investigation.

United Kingdom: 2005 UK Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Held in Oxford (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday 28th August, UK Falun Gong practitioners held the 2005 UK Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference in Oxford, with practitioners from the UK and some visitors from other countries attending.

The practitioners shared the understandings and experiences they have developed during their activities to promote Falun Dafa and raise awareness about the persecution in China. They also talked about how they have cultivated themselves in undertaking these tasks. A practitioner from China talked about the brutal persecution that has been waged against her family because they practise the Falun Gong exercises and live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

The experience sharing papers were presented by a mixture of newer practitioners and more veteran practitioners. On the day after the conference, practitioners moved to Trafalgar Square to hold a large-scale activity to highlight the plight of children who were orphaned after their parents lost their lives in the persecution against Falun Gong.

Indonesia: Practitioners Participate in National Day Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) August 17, 2005 was the 60^th anniversary of Indonesia's independence. It has become a tradition that a parade is held on the weekend closest to the anniversary. On August 20, the parade was held on TG Pinang Island. Falun Gong practitioners from Singapore and Indonesia participated in the parade with a waist drum team and exercise demonstration.

Though it was cloudy on Saturday, many people still came out to watch the parade. More than 100 groups participated in the parade, including beautiful wedding and festival costumes of the various races and nationalities in Indonesia.

A practitioner from Singapore participating in the parade for the first time said, "I recall that two years ago we came here to introduce Falun Dafa to the public. The Indonesian people, especially Chinese people here, had been misled by the Chinese Communist Party's slander and lies. They even spoke abusive words towards us. Through two years of truth clarification and setting up practice sites and Fa-study groups, the participation of practitioners this time is welcomed in the parade."

The parade started at 1 p.m. and suddenly there came a heavy rain. As people were hurrying to avoid the rain, the mighty sound of waist drums appeared like a wave and stunned the busy street. Everyone became quiet and listened to the sound of the practitioners' drums. All along the parade route, onlookers accepted truth-clarification literature and asked for information about practice sites and where to buy "Zhuan Falun" in Indonesian.

Toronto: Falun Gong Practitioners Receive Warm Welcome at Largest Ukrainian Festival in North America (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Ninth Ukrainian Festival on Bloor Street of Toronto entered its second day on Aug. 27, 2005, with more than twenty groups participating in the 11 a.m. festival parade. It was the first time the Falun Dafa Association was invited to take part in this largest Ukrainian festival in North America as the only Chinese Canadian group. About 300,000 people were attracted to this activity according to sponsor's estimate.

Twelve motorcycles led the parade from High Park to Jane Street. Among the participants were the Ukrainian Youth Band, and organizations, music and dance schools and day care centers in the Ukrainian community.

The Falun Dafa parade, composed of a drum troupe, fan dance, Taiwanese mountain dance and exercise demonstration, was in the middle of the procession. Falun Gong practitioners' bright banner that read, "Falun Dafa Is Good," their resonant drums and beautiful dances were refreshing and energizing.

There are very few Chinese Canadians in Ukrainian Town, so it was the first time that most people had heard about Falun Dafa. A Ukrainian mother asked the reporter, "What is Fa?" Falun Gong practitioners also received similar questions from parade spectators. The warm Ukrainian Canadians rewarded the Falun Gong parade with applause and cheers. Many took pictures with Falun Gong practitioners.

A couple told the reporter that such a beautiful performance should be included in the stage performances in the afternoon and evening. They were very happy to know that Falun Dafa Association would be there.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li, who was the contact person for this activity, told the reporter that she heard about the festival on the internet. She sent an email to the sponsor but didn't hear anything back until two weeks before the festival. Ms. Li said that many people in this community hadn't had the chance to hear about Falun Gong. But today, many of them signed to support Falun Gong and to call for the end of the persecution.

Practitioners Exchange Insights and Experiences

Some Understandings Regarding Hu Jintao's Visit to North America

(Clearwisdom.net) Hu Jintao, the head of the CCP, will visit North America in September. Recently, many Dafa practitioners in North America shared their thoughts about this issue. I want to sort out some important points in our sharing and offer these as a reference for fellow practitioners. Please, compassionately point out anything inappropriate.

Use this opportunity to clarify the truth

Jiang's group has already persecuted Dafa for over six years, and the CCP is still persecuting Dafa practitioners. As long as the persecution exists, we have to clarify the truth to people and governments in the world. Of course we should use this opportunity to clarify the truth to Hu Jintao.

Right now, the people of North America are highly anticipating Hu's visit; the objective facts are that people are interested in China and the things that are happening in China, which provides us with a natural opportunity to clarify the truth. Due to the CCP's severe information blockade related to the persecution and its use of financial incentives to silence some Western media, many people do not yet know the truth or don't know much about the truth. We can better utilize this objective environment to clarify the truth to the government on various levels and to different strata of society. During the United Nations Summit to be held in New York, many heads of state and government leaders will attend the meeting. All will have different forms of contact with the Chinese delegation. Dafa practitioners living outside North America can also use this opportunity to clarify the truth to their governments of the countries where they reside.

It is also a great opportunity for Hu Jintao himself and the Chinese delegation to learn the truth about Falun Gong. Jiang's group not only blocked information from the public but also from CCP officials outside Jiang's clique. Jiang's group also spread false information inside the CCP and deceived many people. During Hu Jintao's visits, overseas Dafa practitioners have tried their best to provide him with opportunities to the learn the truth and afforded Hu the opportunity to have close contact with Dafa practitioners. Dafa practitioners in North America will naturally make good use of this occasion to help Hu learn the facts. Hu and his delegation should make good use of this opportunity to truly learn the facts about Falun Gong in a free society, so their trip to North America brings them some real benefit.

Offering people salvation is the fundamental concern

When Jiang Zemin first started this persecution of Falun Gong, many high-level CCP officials opposed this unreasonable act. Yet, due to great pressure, many people participated in the persecution in the following years. Jiang's personal interests and deception also came into play. This has greatly harmed Dafa and Dafa practitioners, and they also created huge karma for themselves. As for Hu Jintao, who has now been in power for nearly three years, on the surface the CCP media has stopped attacking Falun Gong, yet the persecution is continuing in a covert and insidious manner. Many Dafa practitioners are still being arrested and even tortured to death. The persecution is still very severe in certain regions. As the highest government official in China, how can Hu shirk responsibility for this persecution?

From our perspective, "Dafa is spreading widely, saving all sentient beings." ("Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful" from Essentials for Further Advancement II) Our fundamental starting point is to offer people salvation. Dafa gives chances to sentient beings if there is a thread of hope remaining for them, which manifests the benevolence of Dafa. Recently, Chen Yonglin, Hao Fengjun, Han Guangsheng abandoned the corrupt CCP, which is proof that CCP officials who took part in the persecution can still be rescued from a bad fate. Of course, not only do they have to stop persecuting Dafa, but they also have to resort to appropriate methods to pay back the tremendous karma resulting from the persecution they have participated in. From the perspective of saving people, Dafa has given Hu many opportunities and is still giving him opportunities.

Bring the persecutors to justice

Jiang's group abused their power and operated outside of the rule of law. They persecuted innocent and good Falun Gong practitioners. The severity of their crimes is beyond words. In the past few years, Dafa practitioners inside and outside China have firmly opposed the persecution and, as we clarified the truth to offer people the opportunities to be saved, have been appealing to bring the persecutors to justice.

During Hu's visit, we can of course propose, "bring them to justice: Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang and other perpetrators at various levels." Whether or not Hu would follow his conscience and exercise his obligations, the choice is up to him. He would be making decisions for his own future. We certainly should not develop human attachments toward him and expect him to do something. We do not need to repeat past lessons about this issue.

The amount of time given to Hu is limited

The gods in the universe have announced the death knell for the CCP because it persecutes Falun Gong, and they have decided to eliminate the CCP. The will of the gods is a celestial phenomenon, so the disintegration of the CCP is inevitable in human society. Of course, gods look at a person comprehensively, and because many CCP members were deceived into joining the CCP in the first place, gods have given people opportunities again and again to be saved. Yet, gods will not watch people commit evil forever, and the grand vows of gods will soon be fulfilled. The persecution was destined to fail from the very beginning. The CCP's persecution of Falun Gong is now quickly approaching complete failure as Dafa practitioners inside and outside China persistently oppose the persecution. Not much time is left for the CCP to commit evildoings.

Looking from the situation of the overall Fa rectification in the universe, right now is the very last phase. We know that Fa rectification will soon arrive in the human world, and then everything will have been decided and no opportunities will remain. Time is limited for every person, and of course there is no exception for Hu. We Dafa practitioners must grasp the time and chances to clarify the truth to the people.

Dafa is compassionate and has given people opportunities over and over again; yet the Buddha Fa has its solemn side, and gods absolutely will not allow people to keep playing with Dafa's benevolence. In fact, Hu's hesitancy and that of some other perpetrators who took on and continued the persecution out of shortsightedness is very harmful for them. We need to help them become clear on this formidable relation.

Dafa practitioners have repeatedly advised people to follow their conscience; however, from many aspects, we know Hu has limited time left and we need to help him become clear on this. Of course, whether or not Hu can have a bright future depends on his own choice.

Western Practitioner: Enlightenment on Editing Compassion Overcomes Evil

I would like to share my experiences and enlightenment gained while working on editing/polishing the English version of Clearwisdom's new book Compassion Overcomes Evil - Personal Accounts from the First Written Experience Sharing Conference by Falun Dafa Practitioners in China.

When the editing/polishing process began, things seemed to go quite smoothly and the work was progressing well. Then one day I got the news that one of the practitioners working on the book had a computer malfunction which resulted in the loss of all the work she had done. This was a setback, as she needed to begin again from scratch. The same thing happened again, and even happened to others working on the project. Weeks of work were lost.

After discussing this with practitioners, a common response was, "Since there is so much interference, this project must be important." The common understanding was that all we needed to do was send righteous thoughts to clear the interference, and things would get better.

As we continued with the project, I found one obstacle after another piling up. These obstacles manifested in very different ways. On the surface, there seemed to be difficulty finding time to work on it. When I would sit down to work, there would be a list of things I needed to work on before getting to the book, often ending in no time to work on the book. Looking closer, I found that as I sat in front of my computer, subtle thoughts would constantly arise: "I'm hungry," "I need to use the restroom," "I wonder what is on the websites now," etc. Seemingly very normal thoughts turned out to be huge time wasters, as these thoughts popped up just as I was about to do work.

Another form of interference was my apprehension about asking others for help. I thought that since others were so busy, I shouldn't rely on them too much. But the job at hand was in fact quite large, and the end result would actually be better if a team were working on it. When several different people would edit and polish one article, each would improve on the last, resulting in a much more well-rounded and higher quality article.

As I began to look at this situation, I realized that months had passed with very little progress. I began to search out the problems. I first found the attachment of apprehension in asking for help. Once this was spotted, it was not too difficult to eliminate, and soon several others were helping with the work, which sped up the process tremendously.

There was still work though that I needed to do in bringing it all together and standardizing parts of all the articles. It was very difficult for me to sit down and actually do it though, as I seemed to never have the time. One day, I finally was very strict with myself: "No matter what, I am going to finish the editing today. I will suppress all notions that come up when working, and just focus entirely on the book." That day an amazing experience happened. As I was editing the book, I would often find that as I reached a certain notion that the article was talking about, similar notions that I had that interfered with completing the editing would pop up. At that time I could not only see them very clearly, as I was reading about very similar attachments, but also there were experiences shared on how the practitioners overcame these attachments. This happened throughout the entire day of editing.

As I read deeper into the articles though, I found they all had a very similar characteristic: These were articles that revealed the old forces' arrangements. When viewing the book as a whole, the content talks about all sorts of arrangements by the old forces, how to recognize them, ways practitioners overcame them--and if they stumbled along the way, why they stumbled and how they got back up. It was a very empowering feeling, as I felt I could see much more clearly how the old forces' arrangement interfered with the editing process of this book, trying to stop it from being published.

The original thought some had of "since there is so much interference, this project must be important" was clearly not a correct understanding. We should take the path arranged by Master. What Master says is important is important, and what Master says is not important is not important. If the old forces feel something is important, this does not necessarily mean that it is important. If the old forces feel something is not important, this does not necessarily mean it is not important. Only by looking at situations from the standpoint of the Fa can we truly see what is important and not important, and we cannot judge a situation on whether or to what degree the old forces interfere. We must take the path arranged for us by Master, obstacles or not.

Then why would the old forces interfere so much to stop the publication of the book? After the final day of editing, it was clear to me that it is precisely because this book reveals many different ways in which the old forces arrange things and interfere in Fa-rectification. Not only that, the book shares remarkable experiences on how to overcome and destroy these obstacles--how to better take our path arranged by Master. To the old forces, this is very dangerous. What would happen if all practitioners could more clearly realize the old forces' arrangements? Wouldn't we be even more clearheaded and our righteous thoughts have even more power directed at destroying the interference? Wouldn't we be able to walk our paths even better, and be less likely to take the old forces' crooked ways?

Be Responsible to Sentient Beings When Facing the Police and Clarifying the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) I know in China that the evil is rampant in the persecution of practitioners in prisons and in society. I was put in prison, too, for assisting Master in the Fa-rectification. However, I never use the word "evil." Here is what I do. Whether it's in prison or in a police station, no mater which policeman interrogates me, I do not have thoughts of fighting with him. I don't have hatred, either. I treat them with sincerity, clarifying the truth to them according to their ability to understand. And I convince them with rationality. Most policemen are moved by my kindness and compassion. There are some individuals with a strong demonic nature who have been heavily poisoned by the Communist Party culture. As long as they listen to what I say, they have no ammunition with which to argue with me.

I was once detained in a custody center for distributing truth-clarifying materials. The police started to interrogate me. I didn't say a word, just silently sent forth righteous thoughts. Seeing that I wouldn't say anything, the officer shouted out a call to so-and-so. (It was said that that person is a thug who beats practitioners in a most ferocious way. Some practitioners lost control of their bowels due to his beatings). I didn't panic. On the contrary, I felt I was divine. I remembered the story of Ji Gong, the monk. I thought, if you beat me, I will let you have all the pain. (At that time, Master hadn't yet publish the article "What Are Supernormal Abilities.")A policeman, probably the commissioner, said to me, "There was a Falun Gong practitioner who called me evil. He said I was a bad guy." I said to him, "I am not going to curse you." He said, "Why not?" I said, "Our Master tells us not to call people bad names. I can't see if you are good or bad. Besides, whether you are good or bad is your business. It has nothing to do with me. Why would I curse you?" Another policeman slapped me in the face. The commissioner said, "Don't hit her."

While I was detained, the police often came to ask me questions. After one came in to ask a bunch of questions and left, another would come in and do the same. A lot of them came in more than once. They asked me the same questions many times. I realized that they arrest practitioners every day because they are deceived by Jiang Zemin and his gang, so they have an antagonistic mentality towards Falun Gong. Their conduct harms themselves as well as others. They are really pitiable. I often told the police, "We are practitioners. We practice Falun Gong openly and boldly. We want you to know that Falun Gong is good, because Falun Gong is the universal law based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Think about it, isn't Truthfulness good? Isn't Compassion good? Isn't it good to have Forbearance? Even if you are not a practitioner and cannot follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I am sure you want people to treat you with compassion. If you think the universal law of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is right, your health, life, and career will gradually enter a benign circle. Doesn't everyone want to have a bright future? Is it not for your own good that I say all this?"

The commissioner said, "So you think the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] will not last long?" I said, "History is just like that. When something turns bad, it goes to the end of its life. The reason for us going to the State Council Appeal Office in Beijing near Zhongnanhai [the "April 25" event] was to tell the leaders of the CCP the truth about Falun Gong and to save them. It's a pity that they didn't understand it. But we cannot give up saving people. We still have to save those who are savable, to let them know that Falun Gong is good so that they will choose brightness and eternal life." I could see that the commissioner was moved.

Some practitioners couldn't talk with the police with kindness and rationality. They would fight with the police, thus further provoking the demonic nature in the police to do evil things. Practitioners suffer the results while the police commit crimes and create karma. Thus, those practitioners did not save the police, but may have led them to create more karma for themselves. No matter where we are, we are to save sentient beings. Since I am sincere with the police, I asked the commissioner to be sincere with me. He promised to set me free. During the time he dared not face me, he asked my family members to pressure me into telling them where I got the truth-clarification materials. I said I made them myself. It had nothing to do with others. In the end, they set me free.

When I do Dafa work, clarify the truth, and tell people to withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations, I do well with most people but some individuals are harder to reach. People who hear what I say often say that I am eloquent, clear and insightful. Many practitioners also ask me to clarify the truth to their acquaintances and to talk to many people at construction sites. I have been doing so for several years without slacking off. Now when I clarify the truth to people, I don't have to think about what I am going to say. I simply open my mouth and talk to them, and I can relate easily to them through the Fa. It is because of the wisdom Master gives to me. Since I have the heart to save people, Master gives me the wisdom to do it. I also collect information and folk tales from the other people to help me do better in truth clarification and enrich my experience. Every time I face sentient beings and clarify the truth, I feel my understanding of the Fa is enhanced.

When people do not accept what is said in truth-clarification and about withdrawal from the CCP and its organizations and say something bad about Falun Gong,many practitioners say that those people are "extremely evil." They even say those people are just waiting for karmic retribution and are impossible to be saved. I feel sorry when I hear this. I often tell practitioners how I see it. I only refer to the evil, the rotten ghosts, bad gods, and the evil minions of the old forces in other dimensions, the CCP's evil specter, Jiang Zemin's group of scoundrels and their accomplices as evil. I send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate them every day. At other times, I do not mention the word "evil." I have my reasons: First, I don't want them to interfere with my righteous thoughts. Secondly, I don't recognize them, nor do I want them in my field. I just want purity, for only with purity can I send forth righteous thoughts. Thirdly, Dafa disciples' words carry energy. I won't strengthen the evil elements with my words. When saving sentient beings, sometimes, I meet people who really behave very badly. I know I should only send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind them. I don't allow myself to have the thought that the person is evil. Those people are sentient beings that we ought to save. I think if a practitioner says that someone who does not listen to the truth is evil, he is actually pushing him to the evil's side, and unintentionally strengthening the evils' field and making it harder to save sentient beings.

With regard to the issue of withdrawing from the CCP and its organizations, everybody is facing a choice of life and death, especially the party cadres. If their demonic nature were touched, would they not show it? At this critical moment, will they not be moved? Their violent reaction is normal. When encountering such difficulties, practitioners not being responsible would say, "This man is evil. That man, too. And that one is not savable." It actually becomes a hidden negative factor to slow down the pace of persuading people to withdraw from the CCP.

Master says in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.," "As I've said, everything that happens today in ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts." When one practitioner says something irresponsibly, and more say something similar, think about it, how many are saying similar things? Is it a small field now? Isn't it helping the evil? Master says in "Your Mind Must be Right" in Zhuan Falun, "Someone asks me: 'Teacher, I'm practicing Falun Dafa now. I'm also very interested in Zhouyi or things like fortune-telling. Can I still use them?' Let me put it this way: If you carry a considerable amount of energy, whatever you say will have an impact. If something is not that way, but you have told someone that it is that way, you may have committed a bad deed. An everyday person is very weak. His messages are unstable and may change. If you open your mouth and say something to him, that tribulation may become true."

We are Master's disciples. We should measure everything by the Fa. In the past, there was a saying among everyday people: Do not speak badly about your child in case the child turns bad accordingly, because it was a wish from the parents. We Dafa disciples should be even more careful in what we say. It is not a trivial issue. When clarifying the truth and persuading people to withdraw from the CCP and its organizations, we should try our best to make them understand the truth, for that is the basis on which people will accept Dafa. If we can't make it clear to them and for some reason, they have an opposing mindset, and we tend to complain about them and say something irresponsible, we are defining them. Isn't it awful? If they don't understand it, we should talk to them again. As long as they listen to us, it will not be a waste of time. In addition, we can send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in their field.

In our minds, we have to give them a chance so that they can be saved. If someone really cannot be saved, it is his problem. At least we know that we didn't push him to the evil side. We did our part and have nothing to regret. Practitioners I know all agree with me. Seeing that the Fa-rectification has come to this stage and there are still a lot of practitioners being arrested, and the truth clarification materials printing sites are still being destroyed around the country, I couldn't help thinking, do we have some loopholes as a whole? When we look within, do we find the fundamental problems? If we say this policeman is evil and that man is bad, who else do we save? The above is just my personal opinion to share with practitioners. Please kindly point out any mistakes.

Dealing Rationally with People Who Had Psychosis Before Practicing Falun Dafa

I am from the Ningxia area of China. Recently, a person who used to suffer from serious psychosis before practicing Falun Dafa was arrested. In the past, this person looked very anxious and often started arguments with everyday people while clarifying the truth. After about twenty days, the person wrote a guarantee statement and was released. While this person was under arrest, he/she disclosed the source of his/her truth-clarification materials out of fear.

According to Master Li's requirements, people with mental illnesses should not learn Falun Dafa. Regarding those who used to suffer from psychosis or whose family has had a history of mental illnesses, Master has said with compassion that, "Students who used to have psychosis can do some things that are in the background, and it's okay if they do less or nothing when it comes to clarifying the truth." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York"). Personally, I think that all practitioners who used to have psychosis should learn the Fa at home if they truly want to. They should not study the Fa together with other practitioners since it is Master's requirement that people with mental illnesses should not learn Falun Dafa. Fellow practitioners around them should point it out to them too. If they truly think that Dafa is good, they should respect Master's requirement and should put the Fa as top priority. They should not bring negative effects to the environment around them because of their irrationality even though their intentions may be good. Dafa cultivates the main consciousness of a person. However, people who have a history of psychosis cannot control their main consciousness. Practitioners around such people should deal with this issue rationally instead of emotionally. Even though your intention is good, if the result is not, it is not being responsible to Dafa.

For people who have a history of psychosis and who genuinely want to learn Dafa, if they can study the Fa, do the exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts at home, and if they can balance the environment, they are offering salvation to people around them as well, since people will see the good things they do and be influenced by their high-level morality. Of course, if they can explain things properly, the effect will be even better.

Eliminating the Evil in Four Months, Two Weeks, Then One Week
How Jinan Practitioners Coordinated as a Whole Body

(Clearwisdom.net) An article on Chinese Minghui.org on June 16, 2005, exposed the fact that the outside walls of the Huoju (Torch) Building of the Jinan Business Incubator Center were covered with posters slandering Falun Dafa. The article called for Dafa practitioners in Jinan City, Shandong Province to send forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the evil. When I read this information, I felt very ashamed. I had noticed these posters before the Chinese New Year in February.

Reading this article four months after I first noticed the posters, I dared not slack off any more. I immediately started to send forth righteous thoughts in earnest. I also made a special effort to share the article with practitioners around me, asked them to forward the information to others and encouraged them to join the effort. Based on feedback from other areas, many Dafa practitioners in Jinan City participated. Some sent righteous thoughts in close proximity to the posters, some wrote letters to or made phone calls to the person in charge and clarified the truth to him. More practitioners sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors at 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. every evening. Overseas practitioners also offered their support. In less than two weeks, on Monday June 27, all the evil posters surrounding the Torch Building had been completely removed. The evil that had been poisoning sentient beings for several months was finally eliminated.

Reflecting on this incident, I understand two things. First, an opportunity to save sentient beings was lost due to one person's misunderstanding of the principles of the Fa. Second, the power of Dafa practitioners validating Dafa as a whole body is magnificent.

Another article on Chinese Minghui.org on July 30 exposed the fact that there were cartoon posters slandering Falun Dafa on the west wall of Building 15 in the South Shunyu Section, Shizhong District, Jinan City. The article "called for Dafa practitioners in Jinan City to eliminate the evil cartoons," and suggested that "Dafa practitioners in the Shizhong District and in Jinan City add five extra minutes to eliminate the evil in other dimensions in Shunyu District after each of the regularly scheduled righteous thoughts four times a day." I saw this as another good opportunity for Jinan Dafa practitioners to eliminate evil and validate Dafa as a whole body, so I took the responsibility to coordinate the efforts.

One week later, an article on Chinese Minghui.org on August 8 stated, "Dafa practitioners in Jinan City sent forth righteous thoughts collectively to eliminate the evil. They clarified the truth to the sentient beings in the neighborhood to get rid of their confusion and to eliminate the Party Culture's poisonous influence on their minds. With Dafa practitioners' righteous thoughts and righteous actions, these evil posters completely vanished a few days ago in a rage of violent storms sent by heaven." When I read this good news, I felt quite overcome. This incident may seem trivial to practitioners in other areas, but it was significant to practitioners here in Jinan City.

Before this incident, practitioners in Jinan fell far short of Teacher's requirements in coordination as a whole body. After the 2005 Chinese New Year, this isolated situation was broken under the diligent efforts of Jinan practitioners. In the overall Fa-rectification situation, more and more practitioners began to look for opportunities to work more efficiently as a whole body and to fully utilize their own talents to compensate for the shortcomings of the group.

This reminded me of some other successes and insufficiencies in collectively sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth to rescue fellow practitioners among Jinan practitioners. Recently, a practitioner was arrested for clarifying the truth. His wife immediately notified all practitioners that she could contact and asked all of them to support her with righteous thoughts. Many practitioners immediately went to the nearby police station where her husband was detained and send forth righteous thoughts. Some coincidental things happened that seemed like accidents and the detained practitioner was released the next day. However, there were some other instances that were not so good. Some practitioners dared not expose the evil or contact other practitioners after their family members were arrested, with the excuse that they did not want to give the evil anything to hold against them. They actually deviated from the basic principles of Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period. They didn't have sufficient righteous thoughts themselves, and they created artificial gaps among the whole body. It was exactly what the evil hoped for. So it stubbornly blocked them. Teacher could do nothing to help seeing that such practitioners were not able to live up to the standard and not able to improve themselves.

For six years now, Dafa has been persecuted. During this period of time, we didn't take advantage of any convenient forms offered by ordinary people. Instead, we walked a Fa-rectification path led by Teacher. It is path full of hardship, but the future is definitely bright. We have no reason to blame any external factors, good or bad. We just have to steadily and solidly do the three things well and form an indestructible whole body in validating Dafa collectively. Only by doing so, can we suffer less loss, save more sentient beings, and better fulfill our pre-historic vows.

After Forty Years of Illness, A Tailor Regains His Health Through Practicing Falun Dafa (Photos)

Lin Fusheng is 70 years old, a respected elder who lives in Yilan, Taiwan. When he talks about his life, he does not complain but describes everything peacefully, just like telling a story.

A hard childhood and no remedies for his long-term illnesses

Lin Fusheng was a child during World War II. During that time, he frequently had to hide from air raids, so his childhood was not very happy. Necessities were in extremely short supply, and life was difficult. He wasn't very strong and had various illnesses. He had to take medication from the time he was a teenager.

When he was 19 years old, his father arranged for him to learn how to make western suits. Because of his hard work and responsible attitude, he became a skilled tailor of western-style clothing within two years. Every day he worked until midnight. During the peak season he often worked throughout the night. The long hours of hard work took a toll on his already weak physical condition.

In order to find an herbal medicine to help his physical condition, he sometimes tried several a day. The Chinese remedies were very expensive. They did not make him any healthier and also consumed all of his income. He tried one "cure" after another, living a regimented and dependent existence day after day. After he retired at the age of 56, he moved to Yilan. He had more free time and started to study Chinese medicine, which became his daily routine. Even though there was always a Chinese traditional medicine book on his tea table and he had learned so much about medicine from his own long-term sickness, he was not able to find an effective remedy for his health problems. No matter how hard he tried, nothing worked, and his quest for a healthy life became no more than a pipe dream.

After he started practicing Falun Gong, he no longer needed to take medication

In May 1997, early one morning when Mr. Lin Fusheng was returning from Activity Park, he saw a couple doing exercises. Their movements were very gentle, and next to them there was a board with the words "Falun Gong." He thought the practice might belong to the Buddha School, and he immediately felt like practicing it. He was just about to go abroad, however, and didn't pursue it. After returning, one day in late June, he went to practice TaiChi in Activity Park and heard the Falun Gong music. He found it deeply attracting.

The next morning, he went to the park again and met the Falun Gong practitioner couple, Mr. and Mrs. Zheng, in the parking lot. From that time on, he has practiced Falun Gong. He arrives at the practice site on time every morning at 4:50 a.m. to do the Falun Gong exercises and study the Fa. It has been over eight years now and he has never missed one single day.

What happened next was like a miracle. He had been taking Chinese remedies for over 40 years, but the first day after he started practicing Falun Gong, he forgot to take them, and the next day he put his medicines away. Two weeks after he started to practice, he obtained the book Zhuan Falun. Though he wasn't able to read too many words at first, he felt like he had found a treasure and studied the Fa every day. The first day of reading the book, he was able to quit his smoking habit. He used to smoke one to two packs of cigarettes a day. The pain in his finger joints, the soreness in his body, and the stiffness in his cervical vertebra all disappeared gradually. His complexion looked more and more healthy. He said, "My health as a 70-year-old is better than when I was younger." The nightmare of being unable to live without Chinese medicine was finally over.

Feeling reborn, enjoying a healthy body and mind

After starting the practice, Mr. Lin worked hard to closely follow the principles of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" in dealing with everything. By forbearing and having a gracious attitude he resolved the conflicts in his family.

Before he took up the practice, his wife was always the one who made concessions when there were conflicts. Mr. Lin said with some embarrassment that after he started practicing Falun Gong he gradually abandoned his need to be dominant. When they had an argument or friction, he started to look at the situation from his wife's point of view and showed consideration for his wife. He said, "Sometimes when my wife was acting differently from her usual self, I would look inward to see if I had done anything wrong or if I had done something that might hurt her feelings. No loss, no gain; when I recognized my mistakes and attachments, I bravely faced up to them and let go of them. Consequently, I ended up with a joyful mind and a feeling of peace and harmony."

Before practicing Falun Gong, Mrs. Lin was a skinny, small, and sickly lady. Seeing the enormous changes in her husband, she started to practice Falun Gong a year later. Mrs. Lin got rid of her sickness and gained weight. She said, "The daily chore of preparing medicinal herbs for him ever since we got married finally ended. We are now living a much simpler and more relaxed life."

Remember the source of happiness; spread the Fa and clarify the truth

Beginning in July 1999, out of jealousy, Jiang's regime launched the brutal persecution of one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China. Jiang Zemin and his accomplices fabricated many lies to deceive people, such as the "self-immolation," murders, and so on. They used the entire state apparatus to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. To date, more than 2,000 practitioners have died as a result of the persecution. For the past six years, practitioners around the world have shown righteous actions with righteous thoughts as one body. They clarify the truth to the whole world through various channels and help people gradually gain a clear understanding about the persecution.

As both Mr. and Mrs. Lin have benefited so much from Falun Dafa, they actively participate in Fa-promotion activities in the Yilan area, such as "The Journey of Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition;" collecting signatures for the rescue of Lin Xiaokai; the "Rescue the Children Being Persecuted" teenager bike trip; the annual "Falun Gong practice camp for teachers" during summer and winter vacations; and various Falun Gong activities in schools, such as in Fo Guang University, Yilan Advanced Commercial Vocational School, Su Ao Maritime College and in school sports events, hospital celebrations, Su Ao Cold Spring New Year celebration, Green Expo, and many others.

Mr. Lin Fusheng also took part in several overseas truth clarification activities. A reporter once saw him standing at the entrance of a Manhattan subway station distributing truth clarifying materials. He said with a smile that he didn't understand any English words previously, but he was now able to take a bus from Brooklyn and then the subway to Manhattan. Seeing his firm, effortless steps, he was the picture of a happy man.

How My Mother Changed After Practicing Falun Dafa (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) It seemed to me that my mother was always healthy. However, after having a cold in early 1999, she felt her legs were weak and she had difficulty walking. Her hands became so swollen that she could not make a fist. She suffered severe pain that made it difficult to sleep at night.

Mother sought medical treatments from many different places. Sometimes she had to go to several places in the same day. She visited Western medical doctors, Chinese traditional doctors, and even folk healers. She changed her diet and tried chiropractic treatments. No doctor could give her a clear answer what was wrong. Some said it could be rheumatism, some said it was aging, some guessed it was osteoporosis, and some said it was caused by menopause. She felt a little better occasionally, but worse most of the time. We family members all worried about her but could not help much.

It was a period of dark days for Mother. The illness caused many inconveniences for her. She had to lean on my father to go upstairs; she could not stand up by herself after sitting on a chair for a little while; it took a great effort just to get her feet into the car; she could not ride the bus at all; and her hands were so swollen and weak that she could not even wash her face or put on socks. Fortunately we were all optimistic and passed those difficult days together.

Mother not only suffered physically, she also suffered great stress mentally. Since my parents run their own business, many customers and acquaintances learned about her condition. Some people cared about her and some were also curious, and they often asked, "I heard you had a strange, incurable illness. What is it?" Others would say, "I know So and So also had an illness similar to yours, and he soon passed away." Such comments made her uneasy and frightened. She became afraid to go out, fearing people would talk about her.

I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998, and I felt great, so I tried to persuade my parents to practice, though I never forced them. On Father's Day 1998, I gave my father a set of audiotapes of Master's lectures as a gift. My father loved to listen to the tapes, although he only listened to them about two or three times since he was so busy at work. Mother never really paid any attention to the tapes.

After she had been sick for nine months, because she could not work, she had a lot of time on her hands. Because she could not find any other way to cure her sickness, she started thinking to herself, "Let me try Falun Gong."

When I first taught her the exercises, she could not raise her hands very high or bend her legs. She tried to follow the exercises but made very slow progress, often forgetting the exercise I had just taught her a minute before.

Shortly after, she participated in a free, Falun Dafa nine-day lecture. Within a month, her sickness gradually disappeared.

When she was sick, she never sweat, no matter how long she stayed out in the sun, but after doing the exercises she would sweat a great deal, even in an air-conditioned room. The exercises that she had trouble remembering, she learned to do very well. She could walk faster and faster and could even ride a bicycle. People often stopped her on the street asking, "Which hospital and what medicine cured your illness?" She answered, "I did not take any medicine, I practiced Falun Gong, and that cured my illness." The news spread quickly in the village. People thought that Falun Gong was a miracle. So many people came to Mother and asked her to teach them Falun Gong that she became very busy.

Mother never read any newspapers, books or magazines. However, I told her, "You must read the Falun Gong books; you are not a true practitioner if you only do the exercises." As a result, Mother put on her glasses and started reading Zhuan Falun. She said, "It is interesting, I love to read this book." She even tried to recite by heart some passages in the book. "The more I read this book, the more I love reading it." I was really surprised that she read the book so carefully. In order to teach others the exercises, she recited the book The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa, which explains the meaning behind the exercises.

After she started practicing Falun Gong, my mother's illness was cured. She could live and work normally again. Mother not only changed physically, she also changed greatly spiritually. She became more patient, more tolerant and less concerned about personal interests. She became more kind-hearted and always willing to help others.

Mother's changes touched everyone in my family. My father and younger brother learned the exercises also, and they often take every opportunity to introduce Falun Gong to others.

Withdrawing from the Party Brings Blessings

My withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations has brought me blessings.

I am an elderly person living in a village in northeast China. Shortly after the Spring Festival this year I developed cerebrovascular disease due to old age. It was quite serious. We went to see doctors and had injections, but it was not effective after a long time. I was quite concerned and I thought I would die. I could not eat or sleep. My wife said: "This is persecution from the CCP. You used to be a member of the CCP Youth League. Write a statement to resign from it." My wife found fellow practitioners and also told them about the danger of the vicious party.

I thought it over for a long time. Is it really that serious? According to the prophecies, my future will be beautiful and peaceful. Why don't I want to transition to a beautiful future? I do not want to die together with the CCP. I want a good life. I asked my wife to find me pen and paper, and then I wrote an in-depth resignation statement and sent it out right away.

In less than 10 minutes I felt very comfortable. It was like magic. Suddenly my eyes and my heart became very refreshed, and I no longer felt ill. I said, "Let's tell our daughter and relatives and ask them to write their statements quickly." I told all my relatives, and they also wrote statements to resign from the CCP. I want to tell people not to underestimate this small statement; it is a choice of life and death.

Since I wrote this statement I was able to quit smoking and drinking although I did not try to. Maybe Buddha and gods are taking care of me. Smoking and drinking are harmful to one's health. Now, I feel like throwing up when I smell alcohol. I am truly grateful to Dafa, Master, and Dafa disciples who helped me. Thank You!

My Friends and Relatives All Resigned

A fellow practitioner uses every chance to clarify the truth to people. Her friends and relatives all wrote statements resigning from the CCP, the CCP Youth League, and the CCP Young Pioneer Team. Even her father-in-law far away in her hometown resigned after listening to her. Something especially worth mentioning here is how she clarified the truth to her ex-husband. She firmly believes in "saving people." With her child she went to see her ex-husband many times to clarify the truth, introducing him to The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Her husband changed from not believing to firmly believing in it. He was grateful to the kind-hearted practitioner and quickly wrote his statement resigning from the CCP Youth League.

When Retribution for Evil Deeds Comes, There is No Chance to Regret

Gao Ruihong, 39, was an anesthetist at Shandong Province People's Hospital. Her husband Gao Hongtao, 38, is a teacher at a CCP school in Laixi City. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, they have been poisoned by the evil CCP's atheism. Their own relatives practice Falun Dafa, but Gao Ruihong and Gao Hongtao have both followed Jiang's scoundrel group in slandering Dafa and cooperating with the evildoers to persecute their relatives. Many practitioners have clarified the truth to them, but they did not listen, nor did they believe that good meets with good and that evil would be met with evil.

Gao Ruihong's sister Gao Shuiqing went to Beijing to validate Dafa, but she was detained and illegally imprisoned. Her home was ransacked many times and she was pressured with brainwashing. Gao Ruihong and Gao Hongtao thought she brought the trouble upon herself and they discriminated against, ridiculed and taunted her. In September 2001, Gao Shuiqing was arrested by Hou Songtao and other police officers from Qingdao Road police station in Laixi City while working at a restaurant. She was illegally imprisoned in Qingdao Dashan detention center and persecuted for one month. Two days after Gao Shuiqing returned home, Gao Ruihong and Gao Hongtao coordinated with 610 Office personnel to deceive their sister. The authorities processed some paperwork and then came back. The couple had paid 3000 yuan to the police, who were to send Ms. Gao Shuqing to a brainwashing class in Zibo.

Gao Shuiqing was taken to a brainwashing class against her will by Laixi police officers Sui Guoqin and Li Hua, Ding and others from the 610 Office. Her family was forced to accompany her. Gao Shuiqing's mother was old and had diseases such as high blood pressure. The brainwashing class was very evil and the guards in the prison used four to five collaborators to brainwash Gao Shuiqing. They did not let her sleep to pressure her to give up cultivation.

On October 2, 2004, Gao Ruihong, Gao Hongtao and their daughter Gaoyang, together with Gao Hongtao's oldest brother and his wife and daughter, went to tour Weihai and had a traffic accident on the way. Gao Hongtao's sister in-law and niece died on the scene. Gao Ruihong died on the way to the hospital, and Gaoyang's leg was broken. Gao Hongtao's foot was broken, and his lower back was injured. He can't walk and has to sit in a wheelchair.

From ancient times, good has always met with good and evil has always received due retribution. The evildoers will surely bring evil consequences upon themselves.

On June 27, 2005, practitioner Mr. Liu Xiaoming, from the Qinzhou District of Tianshui City, was arrested by the staff and policemen of the local 610 Office. He was first taken to the detention center of the Maiji District branch of the Tianshui City Police Department. Later he was moved to the Qinzhou District branch of the Tianshui City Police Department, where he is currently detained.

Witnesses have reported that the police force-fed Mr. Xin via a tube inserted through his nose. He is near the brink of death.

4. [Beijing] Practitioner Mr. Li Wanqing Arrested for Clarifying the Truth about Dafa

At around 3:00 p.m. on August 12, 2005, several policemen from the Sunhe Police Station in Beijing broke into practitioner Li Wanqing's home. The policemen illegally searched his home, arrested Mr. Li, and stole Falun Dafa books and truth-clarification materials. It is reported that the policemen arrested Mr. Li for telling people the truth about Falun Gong. Mr. Li was sent to the police department's office that night.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhou Minzhong Secretly Taken to Yantai Brainwashing Center by the 610 Office

Practitioner Mr. Zhou Minzhong was fired from the Textile and Dye Factory because he practiced Falun Gong. He lost the means to support himself. In 2005, he sued the Textile and Dye Factory due to labor disputes. The local National Security Brigade and the 610 Office pressured the lawyer and labor arbitrator and threatened Mr. Zhou to withdraw his suit. On August 3, Mr. Zhou Minzhong and his wife were tricked into the local courthouse. His case was not resolved, and when Mr. Zhou stepped out of the courthouse, the local National Security Brigade and 610 Office arrested him. Mr. Zhou was secretly sent to the Yantai Brainwashing Center.

6. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Shufen Brutally Tortured at Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison

Ms. Liu Shufen is a 31-year-old practitioner from Chengfeng Village, Ranghulu District, Daqing City. In mid-May 2002, the police from the Political and Security Section of the Ranghulu District Branch of the Daqing City Police Department abducted her from her temporary residence. On September 16, 2002, she was secretly sentenced to eight years of imprisonment in the district courthouse. She is currently being held in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison First Prison Ward.

From December 18, 2002, through January 8, 2003, simply because Ms. Liu Shufen practiced the Falun Gong exercises, she was put in solitary confinement, handcuffed behind her back, and her legs were stretched upwards and hung in the air.

From March 12 through April 8, 2004, she was again placed in the solitary confinement room. She was handcuffed behind her back for 24 hours. She was not allowed to shower or even brush her teeth. The only thing she was fed was corn gruel. On May 12, 2004, she was subjected the torture "Hung in the Air With Hands Cuffed Behind the Back" by the prison guards Liu Yan, Sun Rui and Zhou Ying because she refused to wear her nametag. From December 13 to December 21, 2004, the guards instigated four violent inmates to monitor her. The four inmates brutally tortured her at will, hanging her in the air with her hands cuffed behind her back. The handcuffs cut into her skin. Ms. Liu wasn't allowed to sleep or use the restroom. Physical punishments and other tortures were frequently used. However, because she continued to practice Falun Gong exercises, she was put into solitary confinement from March 15 to early August. Since June 6, 2005, she's been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. It's been over two months, and Ms. Liu is extremely weak.

7. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials

At around 9:00 p.m. on July 11, 2005, practitioners Ms. Liu Chunfang, Ms. Wang Junfang, Mr. Zhang Mingshan, and Ms. Zhang Guihua, from Dongjuzi Village, Rizhuang Township, Laixi City, were distributing "truth-clarification" materials. Several policemen from the Rizhuang Township Police Station came to arrest them. Ms. Wang Junfang and Mr. Zhang Mingshan were able to escape using their righteous thoughts. However, Ms. Zhang Guihua and Ms. Liu Chunfang were first detained at the Laixi Detention Center and then later transferred to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

On the morning of July 12, 2005, policemen went to Ms. Wang Junfang and Mr. Zhang Mingshan's homes to arrest them. Ms. Wang Junfang left her home and was forced to wander around to avoid the persecution. Mr. Zhang Mingshan was arrested and later released. After he went home, several policemen from the Rizhuang Township Police Station illegally searched his home, stole Falun Dafa materials, and took some pictures. Now policemen often go to Mr. Zhang Mingshan and Ms. Wang Junfang's homes to harass them.

8. [Jiannan City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Cui Ying Detained At Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City

In June 2005, practitioner Mr. Cui Ying, from Jiannan City, went to the home of Zhu Aihua, the president of his workplace's Worker's Union, to ask for the back pay and benefits withheld from him because of his practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Cui Ying also used this opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to President Zhu Aihua. After Mr. Cui left Zhu Aihua's home, local policemen arrest him. His family asked around and finally discovered that he is currently being detained at the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City.

9. [Shangshui County, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Imprisonment for Telling People the Truth about Falun Gong

On October 15, 2004, while telling people truth about Falun Gong and distributing truth-clarification materials in Tan Village, practitioners Xiao Jing, Wang Lan and Chen Fenglan, from Shangshui County, were arrested by several policemen including Ren Damao and Jin Zhonghua from the Shangshui County Police Department National Security Brigade. They were taken to the Shangshui County Detention Center. Chen Fenglan was detained at the Zhoukou Detention Center. In June 2005, the Shangshui County Courthouse secretly put the three practitioners on trial without notifying their families. Chen Fenglan and Wang Lan were sentenced to five years of imprisonment, and Xiao Jing was sentenced to three years. During the trial, Chen Fenglan clarified the truth about Falun Gong and exposed the persecution in the courthouse.

At around 3:00 p.m. on August 8, 2005, practitioner Chen Fengzhen, from the No. 5 Oil Drill Plant was arrested by policemen from the Xingnan Police Station while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and distributing truth-clarification materials.

On June 15, 2005, practitioner Ms. Luan Xiuyuan and two other practitioners were arrested by policemen from the Nangang Police Station in Jiamusi City. That night, one of the practitioners escaped with righteous thoughts. Forty-two days later, Ms. Luan Xiuyuan was sentenced to forced labor and was sent to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp. It was reported to us that Ms. Luan was brutally persecuted at the Labor Camp. She's been on a hunger strike for many days and is near the brink of death.

12. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Hold a Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution in Tonghe County Detention Center

On July 20, 2005, practitioners Li Min, Fu Hai and Liu Ying, from Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested by policemen from the Tonghe County National Security Brigade. They were taken to the Tonghe County Detention Center. The three practitioners have been on a hunger strike since their arrest. The Tonghe County National Security Brigade has refused to disclose any information or allow family members to visit the practitioners.

13. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Guizhi Arrested for the Twelfth Time

Practitioner Ms. Li Guizhi, from Xicaige Village, Yanjiao Township, Sanhe City, was working in the Changping District in Beijing. At around 11:00 a.m. on July 29, 2005, she was secretly arrested by the Changping District 610 Office and several plainclothes policemen. They searched her and only found several cards that read, "Falun Dafa is Good."

It has been learned that Ms. Li was reported to the police because she was telling people the truth about Falun Gong in her spare time. She was taken to a brainwashing center in a hotel in the Changping District and forced to pay 150 yuan per day for her upkeep. This is the twelfth time that Ms. Li Guizhi has been arrested in the past six years.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

Facts of the Persecution

Exposing the crimes of the Chunhai Police Station in Dalian City

Since 1999, a dozen practitioners have been abducted by authorities from the Chunhai Police Station in Dalian City and sent to forced labor camps. More than 20 practitioners were detained, and several practitioners had large sums of money extorted from them.

Practitioner Mr. Song Shuling was sent to a mental hospital and given anti-psychotic medications against his will for three months.

Four members of practitioner Liu Wencan's family were sent to forced labor camps. They were repeatedly abducted and detained for a total of nine times.

Practitioner Mr. Ma Xueqing was abducted seven times and his home was ransacked four times. He is still being detained and the police are still harassing his family.
