(Clearwisdom.net) According to Voice of America's report on September 13, 2005, when the head of the Chinese Communist Party, Hu Jintao, flew from Mexico to New York to attend the United Nations' World Summit, Falun Gong supporters, people from Taiwanese organizations and pro-democratic organizations held a rally, parade and demonstration to protest Hu Jintao.

According to the VOA report, a Falun Gong spokeswoman in New York, Ms. Yi Rong said, "We've been appealing through practicing the Falun Gong exercises outside the Waldorf Hotel since early morning. We call on Hu Jintao to immediately end the suppression of Falun gong and bring Jiang Zemin and other chief perpetrators to justice. On September 14, we will march from the Chinese Consulate in New York to the United Nations Headquarters. We will show up during the three days when Hu is in New York and we'll hold a 24-hour-a-day petition outside the Waldorf Hotel."

The report stated that since the morning of September 13, a great number of Falun Gong supporters, people from Taiwanese organizations and pro-democracy organizations gathered outside the Waldorf Hotel where Hu is staying in New York. Through meditation and exercises as well as a rally, they protested the Chinese Communist regime's imprisonment of Falun Gong practitioners and dissidents, its human rights violations and its deprival of people's fundamental freedoms.

RFA: American Falun Gong Practitioners Call on Hu Jintao to Immediately Release Charles Li

(Clearwisdom.net) According to Radio Free Asia's report on September 13, 2005, Chinese-American Falun Gong practitioner Charles Li was arrested and sentenced to prison when he returned to China. It's been two and a half years now. An American Falun Gong (Friends of Charles Li) spokesperson called on Hu Jintao, who came to New York to attend the UN World Summit, to immediately release Charles Li and stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioner Charles Li resided in Menlo Park, in the San Francisco Bay area. On January 22, 2003, he was arrested at the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport on a trip to his hometown of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The Yangzhou Court sentenced Charles Li to 3 years in prison on March 22 in the name of "Sabotaging broadcasting and television". Since then, Charles has been incarcerated in Nanjing Prison.

After Charles Li was imprisoned, San Francisco Falun Gong practitioners established an organization named, "Friends of Charles Li". They have been working very hard to call for the rescue of Charles Li. When Hu Jintao arrived in New York to attend the U.N. World Summit, Sherry Zhang from "Friends of Charles Li" accepted an interview from this reporter.

Sherry Zhang said, "My friend Charles Li is a Chinese-American. He has been imprisoned for two years and eight months in China. He has been mistreated all along. He was beaten when he was arrested. Up to the present, he has not only been beaten up and mistreated, but he also has to endure brainwashing. He is not allowed to touch any information related to Falun Gong and he is not allowed to practice the Falun Gong exercises."

Charles Li's fiancé Yeong-ching Foo expressed that over the past more than two years, Charles Li almost died from the torture in the prison. Charles wasn't allowed to attend his mother's funeral when his mother passed away.

Sherry said, "We call on Hu Jintao to immediately release all Falun Gong practitioners, including Charles Li. We have been trying our best to rescue him and wish he will be able to reunite with his fiancé Yeong-ching as soon as possible."

Sherry also pointed out that over the past more than two years during Hu's tenure as the head of CCP, the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong has still been going on.

Sherry said, "Of course we have been observing Hu Jintao. What I want to tell Hu Jintao is: He must decide to stop this persecution. If he allows it to continue, he would also commit crimes and he would be one of the murderers!"

Prior to Hu Jintao's arrival in the U.S., 30 Falun Gong practitioners, including Yeong-ching Foo published an open letter to demand the release of their family members who are imprisoned in China due to their practice of Falun gong. Since September 12, Yeong-ching Foo and other practitioners have been holding a hunger strike in front of U.N. Headquarters in New York to urge the Chinese communist regime to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

Hour (Montreal, Canada): Falun Gong Protest

Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Canada last week gave local Falun Gong practitioners a chance to draw even more attention to the persecution faced by Falun Gong members worldwide. President Hu sidestepped journalists' questions about the murder, disappearance, torture and illegal detainment of thousands of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) followers in China since 1999.

Bill Guan, who left China in 1995, says he returned for a visit in 1999 to "tell the truth about Falun Dafa to the government." But instead, Guan, then a permanent Canadian resident and Chinese citizen, was arrested and detained for one week, then kicked out and told he could come back to China only on condition he gave up Falun Gong, Guan says.

Continued devotion to Falun Gong has cost Guan his Chinese citizenship and the right to return to China to see family members, Guan says. In 2000, Guan says the Chinese government refused to renew his Chinese passport unless he renounced Falun Gong. After receiving Canadian citizenship in 2001, Guan says his boss requested a visa on his behalf so he could act as translator for a business trip to China. The visa was refused.

Guan also says that in 2000 a midnight phone call from an unidentified man warned Guan his life would be in danger if he didn't stop practising Falun Gong, and that this year strange things have happened with his car. After a brief visit to a friend in Chinatown just before Canada Day, Guan drove away to discover the two back tires were flat. When he went to pick up the car from the garage, he says mechanics were surprised to find that one of the back tires of the car, which had been parked outside, had once again gone flat. Guan says Montreal police can't help because Guan has no witnesses and no proof.

The reader said, "What ever happened to equality in the world. I mean, I know that there's never going to be 100% respect for other religions, races and beliefs but this has gone too far. I think that if you want to believe in something and practice it, then you should be free to do so, especially since it's not hurting anyone else. I mean, they got people fleeing from China who can't even make it anywhere else because everyone is hurting them for their beliefs. It's not like they formed a cult to kill others. These people are being treated like terrorists. All they want is to practice Falun Gong in peace and they should be allowed to do that. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read this article."

Manila Standard: Falun Gong sues Chinese embassy

A China-based group yesterday sued officials of Chinese embassy in the Philippines for P2 million for launching a massive smear campaign against the group before the Pasig City prosecutor's office.

Aside from Chinese Ambassador Hu Wong Bo and deputy chief of mission to the Philippines Xiao Qian, Falun Gong practitioners also filed libel suits against four local Chinese-language newspapers -- Chinese Commercial News, World News, United Daily News and Sino-Fil Daily -- for publishing libelous press releases about the group.

In the news articles, the group alleged that the Chinese embassy officials have been spreading "rumors" that Falun Gong "is a dangerous group whose members hurt others."

"On the contrary, the principles of Falun Gong are truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. Falun Gong only teaches people to be good, and think of others first under all circumstances," said Jobo Lavina, one of the group's members.

He said the news reports also urged "The Chinese people to eliminate Falun Gong practitioners in the Philippines."

The group, assisted by lawyer Manuel Albano, trooped to the new Justice Hall at the back of Pasig City Hall along Caruncho Avenue around 11 a.m.

"We are also filing this to correct the misconception about Falun Gong due to the smear campaign," Lavina said, noting that the self-immolation or setting one's self in flames is one of the lies being spread about the practitioners.

At present, there are about 2,000 people in the Philippines practicing Falun Gong, a discipline exported from China, according to the group.

Lavina said the Chinese government is afraid of losing its control over the Chinese populace because of the growing number of Falun Gong practitioners worldwide.

"It's not only the Falun Gong practitioners that the Chinese Communist Party are going after but other religious groups as well," he noted.

In other countries, Falun Gong practitioners have already filed similar suits to protect the group.

The crackdown on the group's practitioners has started since 1999. [Thousands] of Chinese died from the severe torture by Chinese authorities since then.

Practitioners held a press conference in Suburban Pasig City, east of Manila on Sept. 15.

World Journal: Falun Gong to Appeal when Hu Jintao Visits Vancouver

(Clearwisdom.net) World Journal reported on September 14, 2005 that Hu Jintao will visit Vancouver. Falun Gong practitioners from the greater Vancouver are preparing related petition activities and hope Hu Jintao will hear their voices.

Li Ying, Falun Gong contact person in the Vancouver area, stated yesterday that Falun Gong practitioners will hold appeals and unfurl banners outside each place where Hu Jintao will go to for some activities. Outside the hotel where Hu will stay, practitioners may sit-in overnight to appeal.

Li Ying said that after Hu Jintao met with Prime Minister Martin last week in Ottawa, Hu at least responded to questions about Taiwan and Tibet issues, although he took a hard line. Falun Gong was the only topic that he ignored.

Li Ying said that Hu Jintao has been in power for some time. However, it is quite disappointing that he just adopts the same policy as his predecessor in addressing the Falun Gong issue. Falun Gong practitioners hope to convey the following major messages through the series of appeal: Bring the chief perpetrators and vicious police in the persecution of Falun Gong to justice. For instance, family members of eight local Vancouver Falun Gong practitioners are currently imprisoned in China's labor camps or prisons.

Li Ying said, on the other hand, Falun Gong practitioners also know that it's technically hard to directly hand their petition letter to Hu. At present, practitioners are contacting provincial and municipal government officers and hoping they will assist practitioners to deliver their petition letter when they meet with Hu Jintao.

Edmonton Sun (Canada) Reports on Falun Gong Practitioners' Anti-Torture Exhibit

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 11, the Edmonton Sun, a newspaper in Canada, reported on local Falun Gong practitioners' anti-torture exhibit, which was held during Hu Jintao's visit to Canada. Practitioners called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong.

According to the report, Falun Gong practitioners - including a man once jailed in China - staged a mock torture exhibit in Edmonton yesterday to highlight human rights abuses in China as the country's president visits Canada.

The demonstrators have a message for Chinese President Hu Jintao, who took supreme power of the Communist state two years ago.

"It's an opportunity for him to stop the persecution," explained participant Chunyan Huang.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a [spiritual] movement that was banned in China in 1999.

Thousands of practitioners have been imprisoned and 3,000 have been tortured to death, Huang said.

During the demonstration outside the Old Strathcona Farmers' Market, Falun Gong practitioners were shown tied sitting upright on a bench and either sitting in a cage or standing with their hands tied above their heads as police with batons looked on.

They claim government officials force victims to hold these positions for hours, even days at a time.

"We cannot really demonstrate the severity of the torture here," Huang said.

Among the demonstrators was Wenyu Liu, who spent nearly three years in a Chinese jail for distributing leaflets on the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

His wife, Yue Yao, is still imprisoned. She was given a 12-year sentence.

Liu, now a doctoral student in mechanical engineering at the University of Calgary, said the mental torture he endured was worse than the physical abuse.

"It's terrible to remember it," Liu said.

At one point Liu spent eight months in solitary confinement, utterly deprived of human contact.

When Hu met with Prime Minister Paul Martin on Friday, he dismissed talk of human rights abuses, telling Martin his country has improved its record on that front.

I've learned that Foreign Minister Downer signed a document every month since 2002 to restrain (Falun Gong practitioners from using) banners and music and parking vehicles bearing words like Falun Gong near the Chinese Embassy, with the excuse that the presence of Falun Gong practitioners in front of the Chinese Embassy would affect the 'dignity' of the embassy." "I think this (Downer's action) does not conform to basic values of freedom of speech and freedom of protest in Australia." "I support Australian citizens' actions of challenging these documents (issued by Downer) to safeguard Australian basic values. I wish your efforts achieve success."

Spokesperson for Falun Gong Kay Rubacek stated that those who have been persisting in holding peaceful appeals in front of the CCP's embassy in Canberra all year long are mainly elderly Falun Gong practitioners.

Wang Shuru (60 years old): "We uphold justice. We hope the court can make a righteous verdict."

Li Fuying (77 years old): "My daughter has been imprisoned in China for three years. No matter how difficult, I persist in here every day, telling them not to persecute Falun Gong."

Zhao Junzhen (72): "I have been here in front of the embassy for four years. I can overcome difficulties in my daily life."

Chang Suwen who is 71 years old said, "I sit here every day, I don't feel a bit tired, and I'm very happy. It is very difficult in China. My daughter-in-law was sentenced to two years in prison for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials, and is being detained in Tiantanghe Prison in Beijing. I was once detained in a prison in Lugou Bridge in Beijing for 27 days. I suffered a lot during the detention. The guards forced us to squat and lie on the ground. The situation is very harsh in China, I feel relaxed here."

Wang Shuru who is 60 years old said that she had been repeatedly subjected to persecution in China, such as being sent to forced labor camps, living a homeless life and being forced to endure brainwashing. She has been peacefully appealing in front of embassy for over three years. She wanted to tell Chinese tourists: the CCP's propaganda and the persecution of Falun Gong are based on lies, and are intended to incite hatred against Falun Gong. She hoped tourists from Mainland China learn about the truth and will treat Falun Gong practitioners with kindness after returning to China.

Zhang Fuying who is 77 years old said, "I have been here three to four years. My daughter has been detained in China for over three years. No matter how difficult the situation is, I keep coming here. Eight hours a day. I bring lunch with me and eat outside. I want to tell them not to persecute Falun Gong. Falun Gong is great."

(Clearwisdom.net) Prior to Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to the United States, the human rights situation in China became the center of world focus again. At 7:30 p.m. on September 10, the non-profit organization, "Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners" hosted a benefit concert at Eisemann Center in the City of Richardson, Texas (near Dallas), calling for help to rescue orphans of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Mrs. Wu, a representative of "Global Rescue," said that the purpose of the concert was to help more people know about the desperate situation of the orphans, and to raise funds to rescue these children to the free world. They plan to help those orphans who don't have a reliable living situation in China to come to the United States and give them a secure home life and help them receive a regular education.

Many well known Chinese and Western artists performed at the concert. The performances included dance, solo singing, duet singing, a cello solo, and an orchestra. Before the intermission, a short video program produced by FGM TV about rescuing Falun Gong orphans was shown. The video program helped the audience see the pain that the Falun Gong practitioners' children have experienced during the six-year-long persecution.

The audience was very moved and many people were in tears when they saw how the children are suffering. After the concert, many people made donations to support the rescue effort.

The concert also showed the audience another aspect of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). A student from the University of Texas at Dallas, Mr. Cale Dingman, told reporters that the performances were very good and moving. Through the concert, he learned that good people are suffering in China and saw the evil nature of the Communist Party.

The concert was prepared in a short time. Many practitioners provided their support by going to local Chinese groceries and shopping centers to clarify the truth and raise awareness about the benefit concert.

A Chinese man told a practitioner at the concert that his friend visited China recently and said that China was now very good and urged him to visit China too. He said he knows that China is beautiful, but he knows that that is not because of the Communist Party. He said he knew what the CCP was. It looks fine on the surface but carries out a lot of persecution under the table and stirred up hatred toward Falun Gong. Another elderly gentleman said that many people know of the CCP's lies.

A bank clerk was very sympathetic and supportive of Falun Gong. She bought ten tickets to give to her friends and relatives.

A westerner watched the concert and asked for truth-clarification materials from a practitioner and said he would mail them to a relative in California. Another westerner told a practitioner that he had been in China for two months and saw how the Chinese police arrested people. He absolutely believed that the persecution of Falun Gong is indeed taking place but he still doesn't understand why the Communist Party wants to persecute Falun Gong but not other exercises such as Tai Qi. A practitioner told him that Falun Gong is not just for improving health but also has a guiding belief in "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." However, the Communist Party doesn't allow people to have any beliefs other than in the CCP. The man then understood.

Some people received the flyer about the concert but weren't able to attend, so they donated some money to support the rescue project. Others were interested in Falun Gong and began to learn the exercises at a practice site nearby.

A middle-aged woman said she did research about AIDS in Southeast Asia and had visited Thailand and Yuanan Dali in China. She discovered that trust between people is hard to find in big cities, no matter whether it's in China or America. She lamented the fact that society was deteriorating.

This woman said she tried to talk about the "June 4 Tiananmen Massacre" to her young guide in China but the reaction from the guide made her realize how much the Communist Party has tried to cover up their history. When a practitioner introduced the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, she said she believed that the CCP's persecution was very cruel and that the party had covered up the truth. She asked a practitioner what she could do when she goes to China again. The practitioner told her to consider her own safety first, but that she can let the Chinese people around her know about what she has learned about Falun Gong. When she was leaving, the woman said that if everyone practiced Falun Gong, the world would become better.

Belgium: Practitioners in Antwerp Expose the Brutality of the Persecution of Falun Gong with an Anti-Torture Exhibition (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 10, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Belgium and Holland held a live anti-torture exhibit in Antwerp to expose six long years of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against Falun Gong practitioners, a persecution that was launched by the former CCP leader Jiang Zemin.

Anti-torture exhibitions consist of practitioners acting out some of the brutal methods of torture used against their fellow practitioners in China. In an attempt to follow Jiang Zemin's orders to "eradicate Falun Gong," the Chinese Communist Party goes to great lengths to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs.

Large numbers of people stopped to watch the anti-torture exhibition and peaceful exercise demonstration. People had the chance to take leaflets to find out more and sign a petition calling for an end to the persecution and rescue from China those children who have been orphaned as a result of the persecution.

Beside leaflets, the Dutch translation of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was available. Many copies were distributed at the exhibition. This document was published by The Epoch Times newspaper and is the most detailed and precise exposition of the CCP's dark history that has ever been published. This paper explains the rise of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its slaughter of millions of citizens. The Nine Commentaries also reveals the current murders of people who practice Falun Gong in China.

Many people were shocked upon learning the facts about the persecution. Practitioners explained the situation carefully to help people understand the evil persecution of innocent practitioners.

Sri Lanka Practitioners Assist Indian Practitioners at 11th New Delhi Book Fair 2005 (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The number of practitioners in Sri Lanka, an island country off the East Coast of India, is rapidly growing. When we received an invitation from our neighboring practitioners in India to attend the UN 11th New Delhi Book Fair, we really wanted to go.

Practitioners arranged for a stall in the book fair for Zhuan Falun and Falun Dafa at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi during the week of August 27 to September 4. Though we wanted to go there to help local practitioners clarify the truth, we didn't have money for the air tickets, as most of us are unemployed and are students. We only had our strong righteous thoughts and our time to volunteer.

I spoke to all my fellow practitioner friends and said, "Somehow, we will go there." Then, for two months, we worked hard to earn money to buy our airline tickets. Some of my friends made brooms, some did all sorts of labor, some did carpentry work, some sold the gold necklaces they had received as gifts from their parents, some sold whatever excess materials they had, and some even sold their own wristwatches. Some worked as laborers and some painted houses. Somehow, we collected the money. But we didn't forget to do our work as Dafa disciples. We did the three things that our Master asked us to do even though we felt very tired. Because we believe what Teacher says, " Bitterness gone, sweetness come, is true happiness."

We had several reasons to visit our fellow Indian practitioners. We especially wanted to meet our friends and support them in clarifying the truth at the nine-day book fair, while gaining more experience working with lots of practitioners. This would help us spread the practice in Sri Lanka.

When we were on the flight to New Delhi, I recited Lunyu and saw a big Falun just underneath the wings of the plane. I was so happy that Teacher was with us wherever we go. I had a strong thought that we could achieve all our aims.

Teacher had arranged everything for us to be with such compassionate Indian Dafa practitioners. They were so hospitable and supported us in every possible way. They had arranged the booth and organized the event in such a grand and solemn way. We clarified the truth, shared our experiences every night, and sent righteous thoughts together.

Together, we clarified the truth to people from all walks of life at the fair. I thought that it was a very good opportunity for all of our practitioners from Sri Lanka to learn from any mistakes we might make there.

Imagine what would have happened if during the 1980s an American communications company had provided information that allowed the South African government to track down and imprison an anti-apartheid activist. That is pretty much the moral equivalent of what Yahoo has just done in China in the case of journalist Shi Tao. And the California-based Web giant deserves the same kind of public opprobrium that would have fallen on any Western firm that dared to publicly cooperate with the enforcers of apartheid.

Shi, the victim of Yahoo's shameful behavior, was sentenced to 10 years in jail for "illegally sending state secrets abroad." Shi was a reporter for a Chinese newspaper, Contemporary Business News. His crime consisted of e-mailing to a New York-based website information about a supposedly secret directive his newspaper had received from the state propaganda department telling it how to cover the 15th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre. The security services were able to track him down thanks to information helpfully provided by Yahoo's Hong Kong affiliate, whose e-mail service Shi used.

Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang breezily defended his company's role: "To be doing business in China, or anywhere else in the world, we have to comply with local law." I wonder how far Yang would take that logic. What if local law required Yahoo to cooperate in strictly separating races? Or the rounding up and extermination of a certain race? Would Yang eagerly do the government's bidding in those cases too?

Granted, the Chinese communist regime may not be as odious as apartheid South Africa, Nazi Germany or Taliban Afghanistan. But it's bad enough. As summed up in the State Department's most recent human rights report: "The [Chinese] government's human rights record remained poor, and the government continued to commit numerous and serious abuses." These included "instances of extrajudicial killings; torture and mistreatment of prisoners, leading to numerous deaths in custody; coerced confessions; arbitrary arrest and detention, and incommunicado detention."

The State Department estimates that at least 250,000 people and possibly as many as 310,000 are serving sentences in "reeducation through labor" camps and "other forms of administrative detention not subject to judicial review." The subjects of such crackdowns have included labor, religious and political activists, including Tiananmen Square protesters (at least 250 of whom remain behind bars) and Christians, Buddhists, Muslims and Falun Gong [practitioners]. And, shades of apartheid, a particular focus of official ire has been ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Tibet who are harshly persecuted for complaining about their lack of equal employment and educational opportunities. So this is the kind of regime whose laws Yahoo shows such great respect for. Unfortunately, its conduct is not out of the ordinary, either for it or for other American media firms operating in China. They all eagerly kowtow to a despicable police state.

Yahoo, Google, MSN and other Web search engines have agreed to block searches in China involving words such as "Tibetan independence" or "human rights." Bloggers can't post messages involving "democracy" or other "dangerous" concepts. Rupert Murdoch's Star TV has agreed not to carry BBC news or other information that the Chinese government might not like. Cisco has sold Beijing thousands of routers programmed to monitor Internet usage and flag for the secret police any "subversive" sentiments.

There is a theory that greater access to information technology will further freedom in China. The reality is that the communist oligarchy is adroitly using the Internet to increase its level of control with the help of its American business partners.

The conduct of Yahoo et al should be illegal. The Commerce Department, and if necessary Congress, should forbid American firms from facilitating human rights abuses in China. Unfortunately, the Bush administration would probably block such rules because it continues to cling to the vain hope that Beijing will solve the North Korean nuclear crisis for us. The only pressure the administration is interested in applying at the moment is to get Chinese firms to stop selling us so many bras.

In lieu of government action, private investors should step into the breach. Recall how, in the 1980s, shareholders agitated for U.S. corporations to "disinvest" in South Africa or, if they did invest there, to at least follow the Sullivan Principles - created by a Baptist minister and GM board member, Leon Sullivan, in 1977 - mandating good corporate behavior. We need a similar campaign today to convince Yahoo and its ilk that helping to oppress a fifth of humanity does not make good business sense.

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yan Fuqin Has Died As a Result of Forced Labor in Tianjin

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yan Fuqin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Tianjin who was arrested and sentenced to forced labor in September of 2004, died one year later from the forced labor in Tianjin City.

Ms. Yan, 56 years old, lived in the Liulin Building, Apartment #29, Hexi District, Tianjin City. When she was posting truth clarification materials on September 28, 2004 in Zhujiang Garden with two other fellow practitioners, she was reported to police and was arrested. Ms. Yan was soon sentenced to forced labor in the Second Team, Banqiao Woman's Forced Labor Camp of Tianjin City. The living conditions were terrible in the labor camp, and only very little water was provide for washing or showering. Ms. Yan suffered from scabies all over her body. Even under such poor health conditions, she was still forced to do hard labor until she developed late-stage breast cancer. Ms. Yan was released in July 2005 for medical care. After painful surgery, Yan Fuqin died on the morning of September 4, 2005.

In the short two months before her death, Ms. Yan still continuously experienced harassment and threats by the staff of the forced labor camp, the local police station, and the neighborhood committee.

Banqiao Woman's Forced Labor Center is an evil center in Tianjin City to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Thousands of practitioners have been persecuted there, and dozens were tortured until they became injured, disabled, mentally disordered, and some were even killed

The Persecution and Death of Mr. Li Guoshun, a Falun Dafa Practitioner from Fujian Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Li Guoshun, a Dafa practitioner from Baisha Town, Xinluo District, Longyan City, Fujian province, was arrested on August 23, 2004 while he was distributing truth clarifying materials. Li Guoshun protested the persecution by starting a hunger strike. He was persecuted to death on October 14. The local officials and police intentionally delayed his treatment and tried very hard to shift the responsibility and cover up their criminal acts.

The labor camp refused to allow him to go home for treatment. When Li Guoshun first started the hunger strike, his mother requested twice to take him home for treatment but was refused.
The prison hospital did not adopt any treatment. According to the labor camp's regulations, people from the labor camp should be sent to the local hospital because they are able to give better treatment than the prison hospital. But the labor camp intentionally sent Li Guoshun to the prison hospital, which has very poor medical treatments. The hospital did not perform any treatment on him and let his situation continue to develop. Their purpose was to let him die. After he was sent to the prison hospital, his mother called the hospital several times and no one knew Li Guoshun's situation. When he was sent to the No. 2 Hospital, Li Guoshun suffered from blood vessel cirrhosis (i.e., the hardening of blood vessels). The doctor immediately said that it would not be like that if the prison hospital had adopted some treatment earlier. It shows that Li Guoshun did not get any treatment at all. The police dared not to provide his family his illness case history in the prison hospital and the No. 2 Hospital. It is obvious that they are worried that people will find out later what really happened. They are afraid to let others know what they did and they purposely tried to cover it up.
On the afternoon of October 3, 2004, Li Guoshun was sent to the Longyan No. 2 Hospital from Minxi Prison Hospital. The No. 2 Hospital immediately wrote a notice of him being critically ill. However, he didn't get any effective treatment. From October 3 to 6, Li Guoshun's treatment was delayed for over two days. On October 4, the patient paid four different treatment fees, totally over 1000 yuan. The overall expenses added up to be over 3,000 yuan. All the expenses were charged to the patient, and the labor camp refused to take on any of the medical expenses. After the No. 2 Hospital sent out the notice, Li's mother went to the labor camp and asked for help from the leaders there, and they had no choice but to try to save him, much too late.

After Li Guoshun died as a result of persecution, Jian Zhanyue, the team leader of the special case group, claimed that Li Guoshun's death served him right. Li Qingming, the assistant director of the police station, threatened Li Guoshun's family and relatives several times. The local authorities cremated Li Guoshun's body without a signature of agreement from any of his relatives.

More Details on How Dafa Practitioner Zhang Xiaodong Was Tortured to Death

In Gansu Province, Lanzhou City, at the Xiguoyuan Detention Center, the police continually persecute and torture Dafa practitioners. Suffering from this kind of inhumane frenzy, Dafa practitioners Liu Lanshong, Wan Guifu, Zhang Fengyun, Zhang Xiaodong and others were tortured to death. Other Dafa practitioners resorted to hunger strikes to protest the persecution and were force-fed by the police in the detention center. The so-called "food" used in force feeding was chosen on a whim by the police before they began the torture. If they wanted the victim to live, they would use powdered milk. If they wanted the person to die, they would use concentrated salt water mixed with benzene. The practitioner generally would die of thirst. The process would also make the practitioner's tongue become stiff and prevent them from saying anything. During the force-feeding process, the police continuously beat the practitioners, and repeatedly use the force-feeding tube to rub and irritate the practitioners' nasal cavity, throat and esophagus while the practitioners are still conscious. Dafa practitioner Zhang Xiaodong was tortured and subsequently died this way.

On October 16, 2003, four Falun Gong practitioners, Bai Sanyuan, Zhang Xiaodong, Yang Xuegui and Wang Yunbo illegally confined inside Lanzhou City First Detention Center (also known as Xiguoyuan Detention Center), were together sending forth-righteous thoughts one day. Wang Yunbo said, "We are all innocent! We should righteously walk away from the prison gate. This place is too dirty; it's a place for criminals, not a place for cultivators like us to live in." So after saying that, they casually walked towards the front gate. The prison guards stopped them and they were sent back. Their hands were cuffed and their feet were shackled to prevent them from walking away again. Zhang Xiaodong and Bai Sanyuan protested, "You cannot use the torture instrument on us. We are law abiding, good citizens, Falun Dafa is good!"

The prison guard dragged Bai Sanyen and Zhang Xiaodong, who were both handcuffed and shackled, from the medical division to the tough discipline division (the thirteenth division). Zhang Xiaodong was locked up in cell number six and Bai Sanyen in cell number seven.

Zhang Xiaodong and others resorted to a hunger strike to protest the inhumane treatment. They asked for the handcuffs and foot shackles to be removed. On the sixth day of the hunger strike, on October 21, 2003, the prison guards resorted to force-feeding torture with the intention of injuring the practitioners. The division heads, Liu Wei and Liu Runqing, led this operation. Chief Zhao Guanhu initiated the torture, Xu Yue Ting and Zhao Binfong picked the substance used for the force-feeding, and the criminal doctor Kwan Xiaoman performed the force-feeding. The chosen food used in force-feeding was concentrated salt solution mixed in benzene. The prison guards also instigated other prison inmates to mercilessly beat Dafa disciples in the detention center.

Zhang Xiaodong was beaten to death on October 23. The police transferred his remains on the 24th to Kongtai Hospital. Kongtai Hospital plotted with the police and concocted a fake medical record claiming Zhang Xiaodong died of natural causes. The detention center also forced a group of convicts to act as witnesses and to fabricate false evidence.

The detention center then dismissed all eyewitnesses inside cell number six and all personnel involved and responsible in the persecution and torture of Zhang Xiaodong. They forced all prison inmates to lie and aid in covering up their crimes and atrocities.

Dafa practitioner Bai Sanyen was sent to Kongtai Hospital for emergency rescue. Luckily, the resuscitation was successful and he lived.

More Information About the Torture Death of Ms. Lin Feng at the Longquanyi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chengdu City (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Lin Feng from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, was illegally arrested, her home was ransacked, and she was detained in a forced labor camp on January 31, 2003. She was injected with unknown drugs and tortured until she was close to death at Longquanyi Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Lin Feng died on July 26, 2005. She was only 36 years old.

Lin Feng lived in the Ninth Group, the Fourth Village, Wufeng Town, Shunqing Section, Nanchong City. On January 31, 2003, when Lin Feng was sending truth-clarifying materials and clarifying the truth at Mashibu, Shunqing Section, she was arrested by the Beicheng Street Deputy Office of Changzheng Road, Shunqing Section, and police officer Du from the National Security Bureau. She was sent to the National Security Bureau of Shunqing Section and was brutally beaten by the police. The police also ransacked her home and took away her Dafa books and materials.

After Lin Feng was detained, the Shunqing Section Court sentenced her to three years at the forced labor camp. She was sent to the Longquanyi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chengdu City in February of 2003 and was detained for more than two years. Lin Feng persisted in her practice of Falun Gong at the forced labor camp and often shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! Zhen-Shan-Ren [Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance] is good!" She also protested the persecution by going on a hunger strike.

During her detention, the perpetrators injected unknown drugs into Ms. Lin and caused her to go into a coma. After she woke up, she saw a lot of empty bottles that were used for injections. Because of the persecution, Lin Feng's whole body was swollen and she could not even walk. Very clear purple marks were all over her body (sign of extravagated blood). Her life was in great danger.

The hospital examination drew the conclusion that Lin Feng had kidney necrosis and that her life was in danger. But it wasn't until May 18, 2005, that the forced labor camp sent her back to Nanchong City and informed her family to pick her up. At that time, the National Security Police threatened her husband and forced him to sign the letter to pick her up (to absolve the authorities of any liability in Ms. Lin's death). Then the police sent her directly to the Nephrosis Department of the Northern Sichuan Medical College in Nanchong City for medical rescue. They also sent the National Security Police and the 610 Office police to monitor her 24 hours a day.

At that time Li Feng was in a coma. After she woke up, she insisted, "I am not sick. It's the evil that persecuted me like this. This is not the place I should stay. I must get out." About one week later, she left the hospital and went back home to recuperate. The National Security Bureau and the 610 Office then sent Party Secretary Chen Jufang, Village Chief Chen and team leader Wang of the Fourth Village, Wufeng Town to help the police monitor her. They did not allow Lin Feng to go out, to have contact with any other people, and they were especially careful to not allow their persecution of Lin Feng to be leaked to the outside.

When Lin Feng was out of the coma, she exposed how the Chengdu Longquanyi Women's Forced Labor Camp is a den of evil. Practitioners who create truth-clarifying materials were persecuted the most brutally there. The perpetrators dragged the Dafa practitioners in circles on the ground. Their clothes were torn and shredded. The practitioners were bruised, lacerated and they lost consciousness, with their blood all over the ground. The wicked authorities even told Ms. Lin's family, "We used all sorts of torture methods on her, but she still refused to give in. She is too stubborn."

Party Secretary Chen Jufang of the Fourth Village, Wufeng Town, coordinated the brutal persecution of Ms. Lin Feng. He even torments her middle school-aged son, Lei Yu. Chen personally told Lin Feng's mother, "Your grandson (Lei Yu) cannot go to school anymore because his mother is a political offender. I will go to the school and tell the teacher not to register him."

Under the extremely brutal persecution, Dafa practitioner Lin Feng passed away on the morning of July 26, 2005.

Falun Gong Practitioners from Six Areas Including Shandong Province, Henan Province and Hebei Province Passed Away in the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Pan Peihua, 55 years old, was an accountant from Jinan No. 2 Machine-Tool Factory in Shandong Province before she died. In September 2001, Ms. Pan went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong with her co-workers. She was arrested on the way and was illegally detained in a detention center in Jinan City. She refused to write the so-called "Statement of Repentance." Her family members were forced to put up 5,000 yuan as a "guarantee" to get her home. Ms. Pan was monitored at home and the police often came to her house to harass her. Her husband was deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-Falun Gong propaganda. He often beat Pan Peihua. He tied her to a chair when he went to work. He forced her to agree to a divorce. At the end of October 2001, her parents received a phone call from her husband, who said that Ms. Pan committed suicide. Her parents were not allowed to see the body and were denied the right to attend the funeral. Two of her daughters were allowed to attend the funeral. The whole funeral was controlled by the police. The actual cause of Ms. Pan's death is unknown.

Mr. Wang Zhenhuai, 67 years old, was a senior engineer at Xinyang Chemical General Factory in Henan Province before retirement. After retirement, he went back to his hometown in Qi County, Henan Province. The police found a Falun Gong book at his home and arrested Mr. Wang, detaining him for a month. Even his seventy-year-old illiterate wife was sent to a brainwashing class because of his having the book. During this time, they were forced to show up at a local office whenever they were called. They were under great pressure to stop practicing Falun Gong. In the latter part of 2004, Wang Zhenhuai heard that police rampantly searched and arrested Dafa practitioners in Qi County. He was scared and stopped reading Dafa books. The sickness that he had ten years ago returned. Wang Zhenhuai passed away on November 27, 2004 in regret and pain.

Mr. Zhao Tiezhen, 54 years old, came from XilangYue Village, Tiangongying Township, Xinji City, Hebei Province. He was in poor health after an operation in 1995 for a brain tumor, but became healthy after he started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, policeman went to his house to harass him many times. Mr. Zhao died on October 28, 2004 as a result of severe physical and mental persecution.

Ms. Zhang Guilan, 77 years old, came from Shengyang City, Liaoning Province. She suffered from high blood pressure, diabetes, stomach disease, tracheitis and inflamed kidneys before practicing Falun Gong. After practicing Falun Gong for a while, all her diseases disappeared. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, her son, who was brainwashed by the CCP's anti-Falun Gong propaganda, prevented her from practicing. Ms. Zhang died on September 24, 2001 as a result of her former illnesses returning.

Ms. Bi Suhua, 68 years old, lived in Lanxi County, Helongjiang Province. She obtained the Fa in 1996. After the persecution started, police from the local police station and the County Police Bureau came to her house several times to harass her, and to confiscate her property. Her daughter was arrested several times. These traumatic events deeply affected Ms. Bi and she passed away on July 9, 2005.

Ms. Bai Guizhen, 74 years old, was a peasant in Changfeng Village, Duimiancheng County, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. She suffered from several diseases such as rheumatic heart disease, back pain and leg pain. Ms. Bai got rid of these diseases after practicing Falun Gong in 1996, and became healthy. After the persecution started, she went to Beijing to appeal. Ms. Bai was apprehended and interrogated by Beijing police and she refused to give them her name. She was released after a 5-day hunger strike. From that time on, policemen Sun Jihua, Liu Chengjiang, and others, often went to her house to harass and threaten her. Her daughter was abducted because of practicing Falun Gong. Her daughter was persecuted so badly that she became emaciated. Ms. Bai could not bear the relentless persecution any more, and died at 7 o'clock on August 22, 2005.

Practitioners Exchange Insights and Experiences

Falun Dafa Practitioners' Righteous Thoughts and Actions During Hu's Visit to Canada

(Clearwisdom.net) In order to save Hu Jintao during his visit to Canada, Falun Dafa practitioners wanted to let him see the grand force of Falun Dafa and get our information to him, while the old forces tried with all their might to block him from seeing our information. If we simply use human abilities, we will not reach our goal. The most important point is belief in Falun Dafa and negating the old force's arrangements.

One example is that of a fellow practitioner who was trying to find a parking spot near Hu's hotel. He circled around into a very narrow street only to find that Hu's car was driving along the same street and was approaching right behind him. As police hurriedly asked him pull over, he saw Hu's car turning into the street. He quickly lowered his window and held out a banner out that said, "Falun Dafa--Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." Hu's car drove by the banner slowly, only one meter away from his car.

Two other Falun Dafa practitioners were racing to get to Niagara Falls on time. As soon as they parked their car, Hu's car arrived. They quickly opened their banner, where Hu was sure to see it first while getting out of the car.

Some fellow practitioners were waiting for Hu on the sidewalk. Police came and asked them move to the opposite side of the street. They cooperated with the police by moving to the other side, and that place turned out to be the closest to Hu's car.

One fellow practitioner wanted to be able to take photos of Hu's car driving by the Falun Dafa banners. Twice she had chances within only one minute after she arrived at the spot, and successfully took the photo with Faun Dafa banners and fellow practitioners in the background.

There are many such stories. My personal enlightenment is that we need to have one thought to accomplish certain things, and then do it openly by following the course of nature. Master and righteous gods are helping us in other realms. We should not be fooled by the delusions in this realm, nor should we be moved by others' words or actions.

At first, the Chinese Consulate spread word that they would mobilize several thousand people to welcome Hu. Some practitioners were moved and worried that we could not outnumber them. In fact, one Falun Dafa practitioner is equal to hundreds or thousands of ordinary people; in addition the real things that are occurring are not happening in this dimensional space only. We achieve things naturally without pursuit, and we received help from practitioners in the United States at the last moment. Affected by our strong righteous thoughts, the Chinese welcome wagon of people did not even see Hu's car's shadow, despite their exhaustive efforts on coordinating the event. On the other hand, our practitioners and our banners were seen multiple times by Hu at a close distance. These instances were all arranged by Master, and we just did what we should do by cooperating with Master's wish.

We want to remind our fellow practitioners in the next several days, that we should not be moved by any false images in the human realm and do well in what we should do. Every one of us should be fully prepared for Hu to show up in front of us at any minute. We are casting down a heavenly net with our righteous thoughts, breaking through the seals that the old forces have wrapped around him so that he can have a chance to choose a good future, and clearing away the obstacles preventing more people from being saved.

Truly Cultivating One's Mind

(Clearwisdom.net) Reflecting upon my own cultivation path, my deepest understanding is that one must truly cultivate one's mind.

I remember clearly, at the beginning of my Dafa cultivation, that even though I had a new comprehension whenever I read Zhuan Falun, the sentence that touched me the deepest was always the same: "Even in this class, there are people who think quite highly of themselves right now and speak with a different attitude." During the last several years, Teacher's words have seemed to appear constantly in my mind to alert me. Now I realize this kind of thought is the beginning of evil enlightenment, and it is also the first step for demonic interference from one's own mind.

Fortunately, I was able to overcome numerous roadblocks. I have experienced different degrees of evil enlightenment; it is Teacher's compassion that has helped me back onto the righteous path each time.

What experiences should cultivators share when they get together?

When cultivators get together, they often talk about enlightenment, "His enlightenment is very good," "My enlightenment is not so good," or "You really can enlighten to things." What are they really enlightened to? How do we judge a cultivator's enlightenment quality? Is it one's eloquence? Is it that someone can say something novel? Is it who is more creative and quick in association? In my opinion, it is none of these.

Teacher says in Zhuan Falun, "The enlightenment that we actually refer to is a matter of whether in the course of cultivation practice one can enlighten to and accept the Fa taught by the master or the Tao taught by the Taoist master, whether one can treat oneself as a practitioner upon encountering tribulations, and whether one can adhere to the Fa while practicing cultivation."

What is enlightenment? This is what we need to enlighten to. Some elder fellow practitioners, who have a poor educational background and no theory, just have faith and believe in Teacher. The evil people became discouraged when they were unable to "transform" them and thus said they had "poor enlightenment quality." I remember a fellow practitioner once said that there are two kinds of practitioners that the evil cannot transform. One is the practitioner who is clear on the Fa principles and has strong righteous thoughts. The other is the uneducated practitioner, who will not listen to anyone but Teacher. What I want to say here is that the uneducated practitioners have good enlightenment quality.

Cultivation is a process of removing one's attachments. When you let go of attachments, your xinxing will improve. We gain new understandings of Fa principles without pursuit. Enlightenment is not simply understanding some higher Fa principle or painstakingly pursuing enlightenment, as some practitioners think. When a practitioner understands a new Fa principle, it is because his xinxing has improved, his level has risen and Teacher's law body gave him a hint of the Fa principle that he was supposed to know. Enlightenment to the Fa at different levels is not obtained through pursuit. A cultivator needs to have a clear understanding of this. Once you feel that you are above everyone else and have thoughts such as, "Look how good my cultivation is," or "look how good my enlightenment is," then you are in grave danger.

Finally, I would like to talk about my own experience after I stumbled.

As a cultivator during the Fa-rectification, I once was bewildered and could not comprehend Teacher's Fa. I encountered some fellow practitioners who even doubted Teacher's Fa. As an individual, I believe in Teacher but I sometimes do not understand some Fa principles. When I read an article by Teacher, I often think, "I cannot understand this sentence, and I need to read it carefully to have a good understanding of it." When I study the Fa with doubts and attachments, I am not able to understand it. The more I want to understand, the less I can comprehend. Meanwhile, I generate more questions. This is the reason that some practitioners have left the Fa. I have a strong belief in Teacher, and I believe that Teacher is always right. Based on that thought, I often interpreted for and consoled the puzzled minds of fellow practitioners. I, however, could not solve the fundamental problem.

Slowly, when my belief in Teacher became stronger, those "questions" could no longer interfere with my studying the Fa. Anyway, since Teacher is always right, I do not need to think further. I can lay down my questions and not bother with them anymore. I only need to follow the Fa to do things and follow Teacher's requests to do things. I put down my mind of trying to understand and put down my mindset of needing to understand everything. After I let go of the "questions" and even forgot about the "questions," finally all my questions were unknowingly answered through Fa study.

Even now as I talk about my understanding, some practitioners, who still cannot lay down their "questions," do not agree with me. We will not understand if we do not let go of our attachments. If we do not let go of the mindset of wanting to understand everything and leaving no stone unturned searching for answers, not only will we never understand, but also we may feel we are clever and find more and more questions.

To a cultivator, this is very dangerous. Actually, what Teacher says is the truth of the cosmos. If a Dafa cultivator can let go of himself and firmly believe in Teacher, the Fa will be able to help us understand everything and see through all illusions.

Five Years of Steadfast Belief Despite Inhuman Persecution (Part 2)

7. Supporting Dafa practitioners and being tied in a metal chair and on the Dead Person's Bed

On August 22, 2002, the police went to "reassignments." Wang Yingchao was assigned to monitor me. He forced me to wear a labor camp uniform that looked like an athletic uniform because Masanjia Forced Labor Camp publicly claims itself to be an Education Reform School. Because of this, the detainees are forced to wear athletic uniforms. They took me outside and videotaped me. Many male police officers came and acted as if I was some notorious criminal. I said, "I'm not a labor camp inmate! I won't comply!" I requested to go back to the room.

I stood by the window and listened in on the so-called "Reorganization Conference." It was in fact just further persecution of Dafa practitioners, as they planned to send determined practitioners to the Dabei Women's Prison, where the persecution is very severe. During the conference many Dafa practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa." Their voices echoed in the air and greatly suppressed the evil. The perpetrators were quite flustered.

Standing by the window, I supported fellow practitioners by shouting, "Dafa practitioners are innocent!" The perpetrators heard me. They wrapped me in a quilt and dragged me into another room, where many practitioners were held for shouting words upholding Dafa. The perpetrators taped our face, including the mouth, and put our hands behind our backs and taped them too. A while later I felt I could move my mouth, so I started reciting Lunyu. A male police officer ran over and hit me in the forehead. Division head Wang Ping and the group head came over and removed the tape. They sent me to solitary confinement.

In the solitary confinement cell I was forced to sit on a metal chair. My arms and hands were fixed in metal rings and on top of that I was handcuffed. Then the perpetrators tied me up. Later they forced me to lie in a bed and cuffed my hands to the triangular metal rings on both sides of the bed. I could not move my arms for a very long time.

During the Sixteenth Party Congress, the police again sent me to solitary confinement and locked me in a metal chair. They locked my arms, hands and legs onto metal rings so that I could not make any movement. I felt as if I was glued to the chair. My left hand was handcuffed.

My buttocks festered because I sat in the same position for an extended period of time, and the blood circulation was cut off. Blood and pus seeped from my buttocks. I suffered both physically and mentally. Teacher said that matter and mind are one thing, and I clearly knew that the perpetrators were trying to destroy a Dafa practitioner's will with extreme physical pain. I knew that the more I suffered, the more I must remain determined in my belief in Teacher and Dafa. I remembered what Teacher said, "When it's difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it's impossible to do, you can do it". (Zhuan Falun, Lecture Nine)

8. Physical condition worsened

When I went to the restroom each day, my seat was wet from blood. Worse yet, my pants were stuck to my buttocks and formed a crust. I couldn't take my pants off and had to ask someone to cut off my pants with scissors. Flesh, fabric, pus and blood filled up a small basin. My body trembled involuntarily every time a cut was made. I thought I was dying. My legs and feet swelled up like balloons and my legs were of different sizes.

Some time into the solitary confinement, my physical condition worsened and I was losing consciousness. I didn't know if it was day or night and often asked the fellow practitioner in the next cell. I was often muddle-headed when I sent forth righteous thoughts and recited the Fa. It was very cold in the solitary confinement cell. Dafa practitioners locked in solitary confinement could only use the restroom once in the morning and once in the evening. It was extremely inhumane to change people's physical functions by force. Sometimes I wet my pants because I could no longer hold it. There was no heat in the room and the perpetrators intentionally opened the door and windows to let in the cold wind. In the winter I had no choice but to dry my pants with body heat.

Guard Wang took me out of solitary confinement and sent me to a hospital without my consent. I told them, "I'll recover quickly if I study the Fa and do the exercises." Guard Wang completely ignored my comments. He asked people to tie me up and give me injections and to apply medication to my buttocks. I told the medical staff, "I only have about 400 yuan and I'm divorced. I have no income." They immediately stopped the IV infusion and decreased the number of times they applied medication to my buttocks. They thought my condition would worsen since I suffered greatly and my buttocks were in terrible shape. I remained unmoved and silently recited the Fa. They were unable to contain their surprise when they saw that my wound not only didn't worsen, but healed quickly instead.

Guard Wang led a group of perpetrators to check on me. Seeing that I had recovered, the next day group head Qiu Ping and a few other perpetrators put a labor camp uniform on me and dragged me into the police restroom. They slapped me in the face and forced me to sit on the ground. They forcibly crossed my legs and tied them up tightly. They tied my arms behind my back and tied a rope across my mouth so tightly that I could not move my mouth or speak. I tried to recite the Fa but my voice was very weak. At noon I asked to be untied because I needed to use the restroom. By this time my lips were swollen and large white blisters had appeared around my mouth. Several days later I felt dizzy and my body temperature read around 38 to 39 degree Celsius. The perpetrators then untied me.

9. Persisting in reciting the Fa; doing the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts

After I returned from solitary confinement, I could neither squat nor sit. My legs were swollen when I stood up, and they hurt terribly when I was in bed. I felt slightly better when I put something under my legs. It was very hard for me to turn over in bed, and dents would appear on my legs when pressed due to severe swelling. The guards said, "You are so thin but you have fat legs." I knew in my heart that Dafa practitioners have no illness, and my condition was the result of vicious persecution. As Teacher's disciple I must study the Fa, do the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil. I recited the Fa and sent forth righteous thoughts while standing up, and I bent my body little by little in order to sit down. I sat in the single-crossed-leg position and eventually the double-crossed-leg position.

Although the inmates monitored me, I did Dafa exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts on the hour. The inmates tugged at me and said, "How can we allow you to do the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts?" I said, "I'll do whatever I can. I'm a Dafa practitioner, so I have to study the Fa, do the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. It's not a matter of whether or not you allow me to practice; it's me who is practicing. For me, your efforts are interference and futile." They tied me up whenever they saw me doing the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts. They tied me up a few times a day, and later they tied me up all day and all night. As a result, to this day I can't lift my arms. The perpetrators sometimes cuffed me in a position called "carrying the sword." [The hands are tied behind the victim's back with one hand pulled over the shoulder and the other pulled up from the lower back. A great deal of force is then applied to pull the two hands toward one another, handcuffing them together.] This was in addition to other forms of torture, which they used against me on a routine basis.

In July 2003, the collaborators tied me up and didn't loosen the rope even when I ate and went to the restroom. I got rid of the rope and threw it outside the room, but they brought it back and tied me up again the next day. I refused to cooperate with them, so they slapped me in the face. After they hit me, they reported to the guards. Division head Li had my hands cuffed to the head of the bed for three days and three nights. They didn't allow me to eat or use the restroom during that time.

During the period I was grossly abused and tormented under the persecution at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, the perpetrators often slapped my face. Sometimes after they slapped me, they said, "Who saw us hit you? Who can prove that we hit you?" They had no shame. I told them in a solemn manner, "No one can escape justice for the crimes they commit; Dafa will pass judgment on everything." I sent forth righteous thoughts at noon and often didn't receive lunch.

During the time I was tied up in the guards' restroom, guard Wang from Group 1 once kicked me violently with his boots after he finished using the restroom and poured cold water down my neck. When I was untied in the restroom in the evening, my clothes, including my underwear and coat, were still wet. This was in the middle of winter.

As Fa rectification progressed rapidly, many Dafa practitioners validated Dafa with different methods to resist the evil persecution. In April 2004, Dafa practitioner Yang Hong from Huludao City was illegally sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Yang Hong, other Dafa practitioners and I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" on a daily basis.

For upholding our belief we were detained in solitary confinement cells. I recited Dafa and sent forth righteous thoughts at the set times. The guards gagged me, cuffed my hands and tied my legs up. When I double-crossed my legs, they kicked my legs until they turned black and blue, and then they tied my legs to a stool. I held a hunger strike to protest the abuse and they force-fed me. Sometimes they pried my mouth open and sometimes they inserted a tube. They charged me 30 yuan for each force-feeding. The force-fed substance was corn flour porridge. They didn't untie me or un-cuff me, and they didn't open the door after they force-fed me. They didn't let me use the restroom, so sometimes I wet my pants because I could no longer hold it. I asked them, "You are not feeding me for humanitarian reasons; you are persecuting me under the pretense of 'saving' me. You torture me savagely and charge me outrageous fees for the food, and you often call my family and demand money. This is financial persecution. Isn't my physical weakness the result of your persecution? Yet you lie and claim I have an illness."

10. Escaping the den of evil, shouting "Falun Dafa is good!"

My buttocks festered due to long-term detention at the solitary confinement cell, and I was charged a total of 970 yuan for force-feeding, transportation and medical expenses. The police took the 400 yuan from my account and took the money my family sent me.

About 11 days later, division head Li took me out of solitary confinement and sent me to the first floor of the Strictly Controlled Division. In the evening, guard Zhao from Group 1 woke me up and told me to get dressed. They also put me in handcuffs. I asked why they were treating me unfairly. They said that it was for doing the Dafa exercises. I said, "I was sleeping!" Guard Zhao immediately cuffed my hands to the metal pipe at the head of the bed. I said, "I can't sleep with my hands cuffed like this." Zhao slapped my face. I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" Guard Zhao ordered people to gag me. Soon, deputy division head Xiang rushed over and gagged me with a towel, and then they taped my mouth shut. Guard Zhang Lei ordered the other perpetrators to cover my face with a coat, and they dragged me to a solitary confinement cell on the fourth floor in another building. During this process, I nearly suffocated. In the evening my hands swelled up after being cuffed for a long time.

Several days later, my left leg swelled up severely, as did my stomach. We were given only half a corn flour bun for each meal, along with a salted cucumber and some cold water. Due to the torture I suffered from force-feeding, I could not eat and my chest and stomach were bloated when I ate anything. I sometimes vomited and this symptom remained for ten days after I returned home.

Once, guard Qiu Ping asked why I didn't wear the labor camp uniform. I said, "Only inmates wear it, so I shouldn't wear it." Qiu Ping told some guards to "get to work" on me. Later, several perpetrators took me to the guards' restroom and wrapped my mouth, face and head with tape, with only my eyes exposed. They twisted my arms and put them behind my back, and then they taped them too. They started to beat me and Qiu Ping said, "Bad luck for you to run into me!" He tried to suffocate me by wrapping tape tightly around my neck. It was hard for me to climb into bed at night after this physical abuse. The next day they came again. They violently pushed me to the ground, stepped on my hair, wrapped my mouth, face and head with tape, and again taped my arms behind my back.

The torture methods against Dafa practitioners are extremely cruel at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The crimes committed against Dafa practitioners are beyond words. However, "A Dafa disciple completely opposes everything arranged by the evil old forces" ("Dafa is Indestructible", Essentials for Further Advancement II), and "At present, in addition to a Dafa disciple's own, personal cultivation, you need to do a large amount of things to clarify the facts." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference").

During the illegal detention at the labor camp, the guards tried to extend my term. I told the guards firmly, "You have already illegally persecuted me for three years. Why are you trying to extend my term instead of releasing me? I am innocent! Jiang Zemin is the criminal." I started a hunger strike and asked for unconditional release.

On the sixth day of my hunger strike, guard Zhang told me that they had phoned my family, and they would pick me up on July 28. When my family met with me, they were shocked and almost didn't recognize me. They confronted the guards, "Why is she in such poor condition? She wasn't like this when she came here." The guards mumbled and said, "She refused to reform and refused to eat."

My family asked, "Is her life more important or is 'reform' more important?" With guilty consciences, the guards walked away. Later they told my family to sign a document. My family said, "We won't sign it. Just look at her!" Guard Guan told me to sign the release form. I wrote down whole-heartedly, "End the persecution, release Dafa practitioners unconditionally and overturn the false charges against them."

With Teacher's help I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa," as I walked out of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in an open and dignified manner.

In 2000, I was illegally sent to a labor camp for going to Beijing for appeal. At that time, the persecution of Falun Gong was rampant and guards brutally tortured Dafa practitioners every day in order to "transform" them. Some practitioners were tortured to death. Despite the vicious persecution, determined Dafa practitioners still maintained their righteous thoughts and righteous actions. There were dozens of practitioners who went on hunger strike together to appeal.

One day when we went to the dining hall, there were already many Dafa practitioners, inmates and guards present. The practitioners on hunger strike stood in front of the table and refused to eat. At that time, I took out the banner that I prepared earlier and resolutely held it above my head. Upon seeing this, a practitioner started to recite Lunyu. Immediately, all of the practitioners in the dining hall started to recite "Lunyu," and the loud voices suppressed everything in the dining hall. The guards were shocked. They hurriedly pushed me out and said, "I really admire your courage." At that time, I was very calm and did not have any fear. The guards left me there, and then returned to the dining hall to stop the other practitioners. No matter how they tried, practitioners were not intimidated and finished reciting "Lunyu."

A guard called me to the office and asked me, "Why did you hold the banner in the dining hall, and not in your room?" I said, "The room I stay in is really tiny. The dining hall is very good. Once the banner is unfolded, 'Buddha's light shines everywhere'." She then asked me, "Where did you get the banner?" I did not tell her. In fact, it was made from an old red cloth, and I wrote, "Falun Dafa is good" on it with toothpaste. I did this behind a quilt so as not to be seen by the monitor.

The guard sent me back to the cell. Practitioners asked if I had been beaten. From their expressions, I was able to see their deep concern. The guard had asked them to go to sleep. They said they would not go to sleep until I returned. Practitioners in other cells did the same and kept asking the guards to send me back. When the guards told them several times that I had returned, they finally went to sleep.
Unsuccessful attempt to defame Dafa
One day, a labor camp official asked all of the Dafa practitioners and inmates to the exercise area to watch a show. When it was clear that this was a performance that defamed Dafa, a practitioner called out, "Falun Dafa is good!" Immediately, all of the practitioners also called out, "Falun Dafa is good!" While calling out, we walked away from the exercise area. Everyone began to walk away, and nobody wanted to watch that performance. The guards could do nothing about it.

In 2000, I was illegally detained in a detention center for going to Beijing to appeal. Other practitioners and I kept doing the exercises and reciting Teacher's articles every day in the labor camp. When New Year's Eve was approaching, we decided that practitioners should validate the Fa under any circumstances, so we decided to call out "Falun Dafa is good" on New Year's Eve. On that day, we were very calm and had no attachment of fear. Together we called out "Falun Dafa is good." The next morning, we continued to shout this out. The police did nothing to us in both cases. This was because we were calm and did not have the attachment of fear.

A Slow Learner Becomes a Gifted Student and Violinist after Practicing Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) Since the day I was born I have had all kinds of diseases (I did not realize then that it was due to my karma), and I couldn't live without medicine. When I started school, my intellect seemed below that of other children my age, but my grades were average. Although my classmates did not like to play with me and even called me a "blockhead," I did not hate them. As I grew up, I started to wonder why people lived in this world and why I was like this.

Before July 20, 1999, my parents and I started to practice Falun Gong. Everything in my life experienced a qualitative change. After I read the first page of Zhuan Falun, I felt a huge force compelling me to keep on reading. I understood the truth of the universe. I started to practice Dafa, following my parents. No matter how intense the study was, I would not forget to study the Fa and practice the exercises. In the morning, while other people were still sleeping, I would do the exercises. Therefore, Teacher began to open my wisdom for me and eliminated a lot of my karma, making my diseases disappear. During one episode of karma elimination, I felt something drop out of my ear, although I could not see it. Afterward, my grades started to improve dramatically and my classmates came to admire me.

In my second year of practicing Dafa, I started to learn to play the violin. Originally clumsy, I learned to play the violin very well. All the teachers said that I should have started to learn the violin earlier. But my performance surprised them, and they said that I must have had talent or that I must have received special training. But only I, myself, knew that it was not due to my own ability alone. After two years of studying the violin, I passed the class. These are all abilities that Teacher gave to me.

Later, Jiang Zemin and his gang started to persecute Dafa and Teacher. My time was also becoming limited, but I was still diligent, following my parents. I sent forth righteous thoughts exactly on time. Even if I was walking or in class, I would not forget to do it. Sometimes I posted truth clarifying materials with my parents. Maybe these activities were trivial, but I was very persistent. I always remembered the three things Teacher asked us to do: To cultivate diligently by studying the Fa; to send righteous thoughts; and to clarify the truth, saving sentient beings. In class, when my teacher slandered Master and Dafa, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil behind him and the teacher quickly changed the topic.

Also, my grades became outstanding. I got the best score in two subjects, and I became a totally different person than I was before practicing Dafa. Classmates came to respect me, because in small conflicts I would follow Dafa's requirements and not fight with them, and I would just smile. Actually, I also told them that Falun Dafa is good and that Master teaches people to be good and that my achievements were the result of my practicing Dafa. Later I passed three top classes in violin in two years. This year I participated in three violin exams, passed two top colleges classes and also represented my province in a state contest in which I got second prize.

Standing in that arena far from home as a representative from my province, I deeply felt it was an opportunity that Teacher gave to me, to let me reach this level in five years that other people might need 10 years to achieve. Because my righteous thoughts came out and I could think of myself as a Dafa disciple, my nervousness disappeared, and the force of Dafa dissolved into the violin and captivated everyone. Because my xinxing is limited, I can only validate Dafa using my achievements and show people the divinity of Dafa in my life.

Two Cultivation Experience Sharings

1. Set aside all worries and concentrate when studying the Fa

Recently, I have been attending a group Fa study. Each night, we read one lecture of Zhuan Falun until we finish reading the whole book. We then read Teacher's new articles and lectures.

For the first few days, we did not feel any difference. On the fourth day, however, something happened. Two other practitioners and I studied the Fa for the whole day, but we managed to finish only two lectures. However, we did not feel that it was a waste of time as we studied wholeheartedly. I had not studied Zhuan Falun that earnestly for quite a long time. Previously, I would read fast, but 80 percent of the time my mind was not focused and always "wandered" away. However, I comforted myself with the quantity of Fa study I did, instead of looking within. As a result, my very nature did not change and I could not enlighten further from Zhuan Falun. That day, however, we reminded ourselves to try our best to read Zhuan Falun as though we were reading it for the first time; that is, to read it earnestly and wholeheartedly.

After we finished reading the two lectures, I was in a better state and felt great changes occurring in me. I enlightened to the fact that I had been in an incorrect state for a long time. I thus failed to cultivate myself when validating the Fa and my heart was not that compassionate. These problems derived from the lack of concentration when studying Zhuan Falun. When I read, I did not really take it to heart.

On the sixth day, we were not able to study the Fa until later in the evening, so during the day, I got worried. Fellow practitioners reminded me to recite Lunyu (the Preface of Zhuan Falun). I had recited "Lunyu" many times in the past, but seldom took it to heart, as in the description of a young monk who only chants the scripture but never takes it to heart. That day I took it upon myself to recite "Lunyu" with all my heart. After reciting one sentence, I had to think about its meaning. After reciting once, the Fa principles unfolded to me and I was able to find answers to many questions, including the incorrect state I had been in for a long period of time and the things that needed to be done immediately. I finally understood the meaning of "humankind must fundamentally change its conventional thinking." Since that day, I have been paying attention to the quality of my Fa study. Now when I study the Fa, I do it seriously and with full attention.

On the seventh day, I continuously recited "Lunyu" on the way to clarify the facts. Although the environment was noisy, my mind was focused and I felt serene as I melted into the Fa.

On the afternoon of the ninth day, another practitioner and I earnestly studied one lecture of Zhuan Falun together. After we finished reading, I recalled the path I had taken in the past six days, and how I stumbled along. I also thought of my fellow practitioner who had done a lot, but was persecuted by the evil. I deeply feel that if we listen to what Teacher has taught us and truly study the Fa with a calm heart, then we can avoid all those losses we suffer and many things can be done better.

On the morning of the tenth day, I studied the Fa with two other practitioners who were not in a good state. Before we finished reading one lecture, they wanted to slow down and pay attention to the quality of our study. During the process, I could feel that the three of us were in a very pure state of mind. All the rights and wrongs of everyday society as well as the chaotic thoughts all disappeared. Our minds were calm and focused and our pure field made me think of the long missed group study we had during the period of personal cultivation.

I enlightened to another understanding. In the past when I shared with practitioners who seldom stepped forward to clarify the truth, I only talked about practitioners who cultivated well, how fast the Fa-rectification is progressing and how important our mission was. As a result, these practitioners would only clarify the truth for a few days. Sometimes, my sharing had an adverse effect. Some practitioners who had a serious attachment of fear felt pressured, which then became another kind of attachment. This time after I studied the Fa, I realized that there was nothing better than arousing people to think about the true meaning of life and to long for returning home and assimilating to the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Only in this way can the person truly persist in cultivation and have energy to keep on cultivating diligently.

As for the evening group study, we read Essentials for Further Advancement. We measured ourselves with the Fa while studying and then shared our experiences. In one and a half hours of study, we would only read 20 pages. When we studied the article, "Pacify the External by Cultivating the Internal," we had a lot of different enlightenments. Therefore, we read the article seven to eight times. We came to realize that the environment around us actually depends on how well we have cultivated. For the past several years, when something happened that I did not like, I would take it as interference. I seldom looked inside to see if it had anything to do with my cultivation or if it was caused by some kind of attachment. One practitioner who did not join group Fa-study during the period of personal cultivation sighed with emotion, "This way of study is very good. It's not important how much we have studied. What is important is how much we understand the Fa we have studied. If we are able to understand only a little bit, then we have assimilated to that little bit."

2. Maintain the greatest kind thought and do well from start to finish

Practitioner C was an assistant at a practice site before the persecution began. However, after July 20, 1999, due to her attachments, she was not able to fully play her role in the Fa-rectification period. She only attended Fa-study and handed out truth-clarification flyers from time to time. Fellow practitioners in our area thought that she had not taken the responsibility that she should have.

On hearing this, I thought of one issue--no matter how good one looks from appearance, one still has attachments. During this unprecedented Fa-rectification of the universe, she just watched leisurely and unhurriedly by contributing only a little bit, and did not try her best to harmonize to what Teacher has been doing. Teacher said,

"So for the beings of the old cosmos, and this includes all the elements of beings, when it comes to the Fa-rectification and what I choose, all beings' harmonizing and completing things according to my choices and contributing their best ideas and approaches--not to change what I want, but to harmonize and complete things according to what I've said--is the best thought a being in the cosmos could have." ("Fa-Lecture during the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")

As a Fa-rectification Dafa disciple, she has caused irreparable losses and harmed herself.

The showy and luxurious life style of everyday people is like a transient fleeting cloud. Although it doesn't last long, it can destroy a Dafa practitioner.

I have heard of cases where practitioners who were forced to leave home and became homeless in order to avoid arrest and persecution, thought that they had fulfilled their historic mission as they had already done a great deal for the improvement of the local practitioners as a whole all these years. However, when they came back home, propelled by the mentality of seeking comfort, they have gotten lost in the maze of everyday people's sentiments, fame and gain. They felt they needed to make up for the years when they had been destitute. There is one enterprise where many practitioners worked. They were paid well and had a good work environment. However, these former veteran practitioners now only talk about who has more money and lives a better life, instead of how to make use of such an environment to continue validating the Fa and saving sentient beings.

A Falun Dafa practitioner in any circumstance should always put validating the Fa and saving sentient beings above everything else. Otherwise how can they still be called Dafa practitioners? Teacher said,

"If you are still unclear about what a Fa-rectification disciple is, you won't be able to step forward in the current tribulation, and you will be led by the human world's pursuit of comfort to 'enlighten' along an evil path. Master's heart has always been pained by those who have fallen, and the majority were ruined by that pursuit."

"This period of time will not last long, but it can forge the mighty virtue of magnificent Enlightened Beings, Buddhas, Daos, and Gods of different levels, and even Lords of different levels. As a matter of fact, every one of us will come across this issue. When we are confronted with it, can we harmonize with what Teacher says with "the best thought a being in the cosmos could have" and can we do well from start to finish.

A Hint from An Unexpected Source

(Clearwisdom.net) I would like to share an incident that I experienced as I distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

One day when I went to distribute the Nine Commentaries in a residential building, I left one copy outside the door of each apartment. When I was on the third floor, which had three apartments, I only had two copies left. That meant that one apartment would not get one. There were still lots of materials left in my bag, but my fear of the noise from opening the bag stopped me. I thought to myself, "Forget it. I'll just go down and take out the materials to pass out on the other floors!"

The very moment I stepped on the stairs to go down, the security door of the apartment where I had not left the Nine Commentaries sounded off. As I turned my head and looked, I felt surrounded by an intangible energy field. It was as if the door was reminding me of my sacred mission to not leave any sentient beings behind.

Deeply moved, I became clearheaded about the duties of a Falun Dafa practitioner. I realized that every thought of mine could determine the future of many sentient beings. Feeling really ashamed of myself for considering my safety and ignoring others, I took a brochure from my bag and solemnly placed it outside the security door, telling it from my heart, "I believe that you will help to save your owners."

On the night of August 10, 2005, Ms. Xia Meifen from Beizhaizi Village, Qishan Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province was cooking at home. About seven to eight policemen from Qishan Town Police Station and the 610 Office suddenly rushed in, pulled and dragged her into a car and searched her home.

3. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Siping and Others Arrested

At around 10 a.m. on August 18, 2005, more than ten policemen from the Jiaozhou 610 Office and the Nandu Village Police Station suddenly broke into Ms. Gao Ruifen's home in Nandu Village. They arrested her and Gao Siping. Their whereabouts are unclear.

Ms. Zheng Yingchun of Fuyuan Town, Fuyuan County is over 40 years old. On August 25, 2005, police officer Zhang Sidong and others from the political protection section of the Fuyuan County Public Security Bureau arrested her at her home. She is now being held at the Fuyuan County Detention Center.

In mid-June 2005, Ms. Chi Xiuhua of Xinbin County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province was arrested in the Xinbin County general merchandise building. She was sent to the Luotaishan Village brainwashing center in Fushun for further persecution.

Mr. Xu Dongcheng from Linjiang City, Jilin Province became homeless in order to avoid persecution. In August 2002, when he was destitute, the local police followed and arrested him. They sent to the 5^th team of the 2^nd brigade in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun for three years of forced labor. He has been persecuted and tormented while in the labor camp. His term was due to end on August 19, but because he firmly practices Falun Gong, he is still being held.

On the afternoon of August 26, 2005, policemen from Jiujiang arrested Ms. Xiang Shuirong, Ms. Gao Meili and Zhu.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

Mr. Zhang Wentao Abducted and Sentenced by the Zhaodong Municipal 610 Office, His Wife Ms. Sun Xiujuan has Been Forced Away from Home

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Wentao from Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province, was abducted on November 23, 2004 by the Zhaodong Municipal 610 Office and sentenced to three years. His wife Ms. Sun Xiujuan was harassed many times by the authorities because of her practice of Falun Gong. On May 12, 2005, she was deceived into going to the city's lockup, to visit her husband Mr. Zhang. The wicked police asked her to sign a document, but she refused. Then the police illegally locked her up in the women's prison. Later on, because Ms. Sun was not well, she was released. After she returned home, Ms. Sun was forced to leave home and move from place to place to avoid rearrest.

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Guiqin from Laixi City, Shandong Province, Illegally Sentenced to Labor Camp

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Guiqin from Laixi City, Shandong Province, is 57 years old. On the evening of May 12, 2005, she was abducted by four police officers. On the morning of May 13, officers from the Sunshou Local Police Station and the village cadres ransacked her home. Ms. Zhang's children demanded their mother's release. The local police said they would release her in a few days. However in July, without notifying her family members, they illegally imprisoned Ms. Zhang in the Zibo Wang Village Labor Camp.

Dafa Practitioner Mr. Teng Shijun Abducted

Mr. Teng from Tumen City, Jilin Province, is 37 years old. When he was sixteen years old, he suddenly developed Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). His four limbs became weak and he could not do heavy labor. Later on, he started to practice Falun Gong, and returned to health. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, because Mr. Teng persisted in cultivation, he was dismissed from his workplace. Mr. Teng was illegally arrested, imprisoned and subjected to brainwashing many times. He was once tortured by the labor camp to near death before he was released. The unlawful personnel from Tumen City often harassed his family. In October 2004, Mr. Teng escaped from the brainwashing class with righteous thoughts. Since then, he has been homeless and destitute. On August 16, 2005, Teng Shijun was arrested once again. He is currently imprisoned and being persecuted in Tumen Prison.
