Representatives read the announcement aloud in both Chinese and English, urging Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials who once participated in the persecution of practitioners to abandon the evil path and choose to be good. Those who refuse to do the right thing and instead continue to follow Jiang's scoundrel regime's persecution policies are bound to be severely punished as perpetrators of unforgivable crimes.

Practitioners Jon Deller and Mr. Wei read the announcement aloud in English and Chinese respectively. According to the announcement, "From today (October 9, 2005) on, overseas Falun Gong practitioners will file civil or criminal lawsuits against all important government or CCP officials who participate in or continue to implement the persecution of Falun Gong."

The announcement concluded with the following: "The CCP regime is against heaven's will and is about to collapse. It is now having difficulty sustaining the persecution. Heaven's final judgment of these evil criminals is imminent. However, one of the purposes of the sacred Fa of Falun Gong is to save people, including people from all walks of life. Even for those who have committed wrongdoings, there is still an opportunity for them to abandon their evil paths and choose to be good. For all those who have committed crimes against Falun Gong but want now to correct their mistakes, they can submit, under safe circumstances, a guarantee announcement or regret letter to the Minghui (Clearwisdom) Website or to any regional Falun Dafa Association to be archived. We will not investigate the various crimes of those who are determined to correct their mistakes. However, we will continue to monitor their actions."

Besides delivering the announcement to the consulate, practitioner Rebecca said that they also want to deliver the statement to 200 Guangdong government officials who are scheduled to visit Sydney this November for a trade fair. She said, "We want to take the opportunity to deliver this statement to every Chinese official who has participated in the persecution to urge them to choose to be good. For those who choose not to do the right thing and instead continue to follow Jiang Zemin's scoundrel regime's persecution policies, they will be severely punished."

After the announcement was read, Rebecca and John went to the consulate to deliver the announcement. A receptionist first told them to wait while he called to report to consulate officials. About 15 minutes later, the receptionist said that no one would come out to accept the letter. Rebecca said that they would then fax or mail the announcement to the consulate.

Almost at the same time, practitioners in other areas including Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne and Western Australia also delivered the announcement to their local consulate offices. As they read the announcement on a sidewalk outside the Brisbane consulate, the Queensland practitioners were sprayed with water hoses by consulate officials from the rooftop. Practitioners swiftly warned them to stop such irrational harassment or face criminal charges. The consulate members then stopped their actions. Before the practitioners' activity concluded, the police arrived and practitioners reported to them what had just happened. For the practitioners' safety, the police recommended that practitioners notify the police of future events. The officers also left their phone numbers.

In order to help people who work for the Chinese Consulate to realize the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and abandon the evil path as soon as possible, French Falun Gong practitioners hung banners and displayed Falun Gong truth-clarification posters. The banners read, "Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", and "Rescue Falun Gong Orphans". They also read together in both Chinese and French the Falun Dafa Association announcement. Many people who passed by and those who went to the Chinese Consulate to get visas or renew passports stopped to carefully listen. The truth-clarification posters and display boards that introduce the children victims in the persecution of Falun Gong drew many people's attention, who came over and asked for more information.

People who became aware of the facts reached out their helping hands. Some people signed the petition to support the rescue effort. Some people took petition forms and said they would ask their friends and family members to sign to express their support.

Paris Falun Gong practitioner Cheng Fa said, "Today, we come here to tell those Chinese Consulate officials about the content of the Falun Dafa Association announcement, so that they would convey the message among themselves, to their friends, family members, and their bosses and other Chinese government officials. They should all be aware of the announcement. For those who have done bad deeds, in particular, this is an opportunity for them to abandon their evil path and choose to be good."

Cheng Fa also said, "From now on, if someone still continues to commit crimes and persecute Falun Gong, he will be sued once he leaves China. On the other hand, people around the world have gotten to understand the truth more and more. The persecution of Falun Gong must be stopped. If someone continues to persecute Falun Gong, he will eventually be brought to justice."

A French lady who signed the petition to support Falun Gong and call for an end to the persecution said, "I just retired and I have a big problem with my health. I want to learn the exercises (of Falun Gong) and get more information." In response to the Chinese communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong, the lady said, "No matter where we are, we should respect human rights."

Another French lady said after signing the petition, "I signed my name here because it is really important. Freedoms of speech and belief should be valued. I really support freedoms of religion and thinking and we should help people from all over the world know about these."

A Chinese gentleman stayed at the event venue for quite a long time after a practitioner handed him a copy of the Falun Dafa Association announcement. When a practitioner asked him whether he was aware of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, he said that he knew about it and that it was initiated by Jiang Zemin.

When the event was about to conclude, a western Falun Gong practitioner put a copy of the Falun Dafa Association announcement into the Chinese Consulate's mail box and sincerely wished that those Consulate staff members would be able to read the announcement.

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 8, the first "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" International Art Exhibition in Italy was inaugurated in the town of Andorno Micca. The art exhibition was held in the exhibition hall of the Artist Association. The exhibition was held for two weeks and concluded on October 23. Association members felt honored that these outstanding paintings by artists who practice Falun Gong were displayed in their exhibition hall. They provided much help and gave many constructive suggestions to the exhibition.

During the inauguration ceremony, a spokeswoman for the art exhibition, organized by the Falun Gong Association, greeted the guests. A Falun Gong practitioner demonstrated the exercises, and the Mayor of Andorno Micca gave a speech. The mayor stressed the importance of such a wonderful art and cultural activity. He invited guests to contemplate the importance of paying attention to the people who are suffering from persecution. He also said that the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are what everyone should believe in around the world. A female artist, a member of the Artist Association, praised the artwork for both its message and quality.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a great number of people visited the exhibition until late at night. Visitors were shocked by the contrast between the beauty of Falun Gong and the brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party. The guests earnestly viewed the paintings, read the introductory material about the paintings, and exchanged their opinions.

One visitor said that it is hard to accept that such a cruel persecution is still happening. A 69-year-old man shed tears in front of the painting, "A Tragedy in China." Some visitors said that they would come back to view the paintings again.

(Clearwisdom.net) In the bustling districts of Singapore, rain or shine, practitioners have been clarifying the truth to citizens and tourists for 6 consecutive years. A lot of Singaporeans, old and young, have thus directly been exposed to Falun Dafa information.

Many people were surprised by the severity of the persecution. They often asked: "Is the persecution really so severe?" "Are these all real?" "Where can I learn Falun Gong?" "Where can I sign to support you?"

Sometimes when people asked questions, a lot of others stopped to watch. Practitioners always patiently answered the questions one by one with a smile. Occasionally, people who didn't know the facts would call the police. When police officers came, some officers would just take a quick look and leave, while sometimes they would deploy a lot of officers and videotape the site. Regardless how the people and police react, practitioners always remain composed and continue to clarify the truth to resolve the issues fundamentally. They sincerely hope that the police officers and people who have been misled by the Chinese Communist regime can awaken to the truth and truly understand what Falun Gong is.

United Kingdom: "Friends of Falun Gong" at the University of Leicester Fresher's Fair (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 3 and 4, 2005, invited by the University of Leicester Student Union, Friends of Falun Gong (FoFG) joined the annual Fresher's Fair.

The FoFG stand was near the entrance to the main hall. Many new students who passed by took a look at the exhibition boards explaining more about Falun Gong. A lot of students were happy to take a leaflet. After learning about Falun Gong and the persecution of practitioners in China, quite a lot of them came back and joined the Friends of Falun Gong Association. Two student representatives of Amnesty International who were manning their stand also joined FoFG and discussed possibilities for future cooperation between the two associations.

Facing the entrance to the Student Union is the main road through the University of Leicester. The Friends of Falun Gong set up many large posters at the side of the road. The posters read, "Stop the torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners in China," "Falun Gong has spread to over sixty countries," "Falun Gong is practiced by over a hundred million people worldwide" and "Falun Gong has received many awards and proclamations around the world." Many Chinese students who had just come to Leicester from Mainland China were pleasantly surprised and took photos of the Falun Gong stand. In one day, over eighty informational Video-CDs were given out. The students may start to think, why is Falun Gong only persecuted in China?

In the afternoon of October 4th, the stand was moved to a larger area near the entrance outside the hall. Every student passing by could see it and many of them joined the association. Quite a lot of them enquired about the time and location of the Falun Gong exercise lessons, which are provided free of charge. Some Chinese students were also interested in learning the exercises and, with a little hesitation, they left their email addresses. There was one female Chinese student who refused to take a VCD at first. But after discussing with her friends, she came back and took the VCD.

Korea: Photo Exhibition on Practitioners' Validation of Dafa Held in Daejeon City (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) A photo exhibition chronicling practitioners' validation of Dafa was held at a modern art gallery in Daejeon City, Korea from October 13 to 19, 2005.

Over 140 photos were exhibited, showing the grace of Dafa, images of practitioners throughout the world, the persecution in China, and the uncompromising courage of practitioners in the face of the persecution in China. Students and local residents alike were drawn by the photos. The director of the gallery learned the five sets of Falun Gong exercises at the exhibition site. Many visitors expressed their interest in the practice and requested more information.

KBS and MBC TV stations in Daejeon City broadcast a program to introduce the photo exhibition to local residents.

Holland: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in the Town of Amersfoort (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 8, 2005, I traveled by train to Amersfoort near Amsterdam to attend an activity held by fellow practitioners and raise the awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong to the local people.

While asking the way at the railway station, I met a girl who seemed almost the same age as me, with a dusky complexion and wearing a pair of big earrings. She was also going to the city centre and was waiting for a bus. She suggested that we should go there together. I gave her a Falun Gong leaflet and then told her about the persecution of Falun Gong happening in China and the purpose of my coming here. As our bus arrived, we got on the bus together. There were three elderly people on the bus, and I gave them a leaflet each. That girl reminded me in low voice about telling them the facts about the persecution quickly. So I started telling them about the persecution of Falun Gong happening in China and my purpose of coming to Amersfoort. After hearing the facts, they all condemned the persecution. When I got off the bus a few minutes later, each of them said in a friendly manner: "Thank you and goodbye!"

The girl decided to help me find the place where the activity was to be held, though she was not familiar with the city centre. When we took a roundabout way, she didn't complain at all but joked: "We are doing a slimming exercise today." She didn't leave until we found the activity. Before she left, I thanked her for her help and asked her to sign the petition expressing support for Falun Gong practitioners in Holland bringing Jiang Zemin to justice for persecuting Falun Gong. She signed the petition, saying that such a persecution certainly should be stopped.

The place of our activity was at a busy intersection in the city centre. Crowds of people were passing by. We hung a banner and after mounting pictures and exhibition boards properly, some of us started practicing the exercises and talking to people who were interested.

Compared with Amsterdam, it is a quiet city. Many people didn't know much about the persecution of Falun Gong. While passing by our stall, some were attracted by the exercises and some by photos exposing the situation in China. After our explanations, many people immediately signed the petition and some asked for Falun Gong pamphlets, saying that they would decide whether to sign or not after understanding it further. There was a lady of Chinese origin who was interested in Falun Gong and asked for the telephone number of a Falun Gong practitioner who offers free classes.

Near us was a restaurant. While sitting outside eating, many people were watching our demonstration of the exercises with great interest. I walked over briefly to tell some people about Falun Gong being persecuted by the CCP, asking them if they would like to sign the petition in order to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Most of them agreed and signed the petition.

Time went by very fast. I was feeling moved on the train home and promised myself that I would come back.

Facts of the Persecution

The 610 Office in Mengyin County, Shandong Province Persecutes Practitioners During the National Holiday

1. Propaganda Poisons the Public

Days before China's National Day, October 1, 2005, the 610 Office in Mengyin County, Shandong Province posted slogans that read "oppose cults, maintain stability, promote progress" and printed a colored pamphlet entitled "Achievements of Chinese Communist Party's Mengyin County 610 Office." Several hundred copies were printed by the 610 Office and the local police. This pamphlet bragged about the 610 Office's "political achievements" in persecuting Falun Gong since July 20, 1999.

This pamphlet slanders Falun Gong and says that the Shandong provincial government and Communist Party Committee recognized the local 610 Office as "Shandong Province's Advanced Group for Fighting Falun Gong" and "Shandong Province's Advanced Group for Anti-Cult Education Organization." Mengyin County has sentenced over forty Falun Gong practitioners to forced labor and detained over one hundred others.

This 610 Office has heavily fined Falun Gong practitioners, but no official figure of fines is found in the pamphlet. In most brainwashing sessions, every practitioner is fined between 3,000 and 10,000 yuan. If the average fine is 5,000 yuan, the 610 Office has plundered over 24 million yuan from practitioners during the past six years. This estimate does not account for practitioners' wages that the 610 Office has withheld and personal property confiscated from practitioners.

The pamphlet does not mention the wrongful deaths of practitioners Zhang Dezhen and Liu Shufen at the hands of the 610 Office.

2. High-pressure Persecution

On September 18, 2005, practitioner Shi Shaoxin from Taoqu Town, Mengyin County was arrested. Police confiscated over 7000 yuan in cash and over 8000 yuan in bank deposits. The 610 Office also confiscated Shi's Dafa books. His wife had to leave the house, and his ten-year-old child was left alone at home. Shi's quarry in Zhujiapu was shut down.

On September 20 the 610 Office arrested Zhang Yuanlan from the Mengyin County Pharmaceutical Company and confiscated her Dafa books.

On the same day, the 610 Office arrested practitioner Ji Feng and his non-practitioner wife Bao Fengying in Mengyin County. Ji worked in the local meat processing plant. The 610 officials confiscated Ji's Dafa materials and 4,000-5,000 yuan in cash. Ji's relatives could not get in touch with him for an entire day. They went to check on Ji's home on September 21 and found the door locked. Neighbors did not know where Ji had been taken. The relatives climbed over the wall and found the house in a mess. It looked as if the house was robbed. Because the relatives knew Ji Feng practices Falun Gong, they went to the county 610 Office and found Ji there. Fengying, Ji's non-practitioner wife, was also arrested as an "accomplice" and detained in the 610 Office for three days.

On September 21, Liu Zhihou, a retiree of the First Experimental Elementary School in Mengyin County, was arrested by the 610 Office.

On September 23, Li Zongping of Pugou Village, Mengyin Town was arrested. The 610 officers confiscated Li's Dafa materials. Li' s wife left home in a hurry before the officers could arrest her.

Practitioner Gong in Qutao Town was also arrested by the 610 Office.

The six Falun Gong practitioners mentioned above are illegally detained in the Mengyin County 610 Office. Their families are not allowed to visit them.

3. CCP Intensifies the Persecution

Much of the persecution against Falun Gong is carried out covertly, and practitioners are arrested and sentenced secretly.

Before the Mid-Autumn Festival, the 610 officers plotted to illegally arrest Falun Gong practitioners in Mengyin Town. These officers visited practitioners in Mengyin and Changlu. In the days leading up to National Day, 610 officers and police began arresting practitioners.

The 610 Office also established a so-called responsibility system, in which other government agencies cooperate with the 610 Office in persecuting Falun Gong. Cui Huadong, the director of the Mengyin County 610 Office, oversaw the arrest of practitioners in Mengyin and neighboring towns.

Beijing Dafa Disciple Liu Yongwang Has Again Been Detained and His Life Is in Danger

(Clearwisdom.net) Beijing Dafa disciple Mr. Liu Yongwang has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution since he was once again detained on August 24, 2005. The police have force-fed him every day to torture him and his life is in danger. Currently he has to rely on other people's support in order to walk. His legs, which had been disabled due to prior police abuse, started to ache again throughout the night.

Liu Yongwang, 32 years old and a resident of Beijing, was previously a resident of Quyang County, Hebei Province. Due to his practice of Falun Dafa, he was illegally arrested in Shanghai on September 13, 2001 and imprisoned at a detention center in Shanghai and at Baoding City Detention Center in Hebei Province for a total of 88 days. Over that entire period, he was on a hunger strike to protest the illegal imprisonment, and his weight dropped from 165 lbs. to less than 100 lbs. He became as thin as a skeleton, and he could barely talk.

On December 11, 2001, Mr. Liu was thrown into the first group of Baoding City Labor Camp, where his body and spirit suffered extreme abuse, which finally disabled his left leg.

After being transferred to Tangshan Labor Camp in April of 2002, his left leg still did not heal. In the winter of 2003, his left leg gradually got back some feeling and function, but still had no strength. Soon, however, his left leg started to become limp, accompanied by pain which quickly spread throughout the entire left leg, and then to the right foot, right calf and right thigh. His rectum became numb, although he had not lost control of his bowels. His legs ached so badly that he lay awake all night. A physical examination conducted at Tangshan Worker's Hospital on April 30 of 2004 diagnosed him as suffering "nerve damage in both legs." The doctor said that this was usually caused by two factors, one of which is that the nerve is being pressed by a tumor growing inside the spinal column or by a deformed spinal column, and the other is that the nerve cells inside the spinal column are damaged, which is harder to treat. Either way, if the condition deteriorates, the lower part of the body will become paralyzed.

Mr. Liu went on hunger strike again to protest the persecution. With help from his family and others, he was released on bail for medical treatment on June 17, 2004.

After getting back home, through practicing Falun Dafa, Mr. Liu's physical condition became markedly better, and the pain in his legs was noticeably relieved. On August 24, 2005, police from the Beijing National Security Department forcibly took Liu Yongwang away from his workplace again. He was initially imprisoned at the detention center of the Beijing Public Security Bureau and later transferred to the detention center of the provincial Public Security Bureau. He is now imprisoned at the Baoding City Detention Center.

Liu Yongwang has been on a hunger strike to protest the unlawful persecution since he was imprisoned. Currently, the prison police administer torturous force-feeding to him every day and his life is once again in danger. Now he has to rely on other people's support in order to walk, and his legs have started to ache again throughout the night.

We urgently ask everyone to help Liu Yongwang. We hope that international organizations will investigate this case and help to free Mr. Liu immediately.

Female Falun Gong Practitioners Sexually Abused in Dalian Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) When I was detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, I had heard about how female Falun Gong practitioners were sexually abused in the Dalian Forced Labor Camp.

In October 2004, the Dalian Forced Labor Camp was torn down. A group of Falun Gong practitioners were taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in a police vehicle. Some of these practitioners had not recovered from the torture. Some had difficulty walking as they could not walk straight and were stooping, and others needed help to move about.

A female practitioner whose hands had become disfigured from being hung off the ground by her handcuffed wrists told me, "The police officers in Dalian Forced Labor Camp instructed the criminal detainees to torture female practitioners by abusing them sexually. The criminal inmates were ordered to strip off the female practitioner's clothes, cuff their hands and feet spread eagle, in the shape of the Chinese character "大." Then they stuffed pepper into their genitals, inserted mop handles into their genitals, or pushed three tooth brushes tied together in three different directions into their genitals and rotated them for a long time. These female practitioners bled profusely and they were in extreme pain. They also suffered long lasting back pain."

She said that a little girl had suffered through this torture.

In recent years in Sichuan, Liangshanzhou, Zhaojue County, the local police have been continuously persecuting the Minority Middle School teacher Mr. Wu Shihai because he refused to renounce Falun Dafa. In April 2003, at the Mianyang Third People's Hospital, a mental hospital, Mr. Wu was forcibly injected with drugs that were harmful to his nervous system.

The officials didn't permit Mr. Wu to teach his classes and they persecuted him through monitoring him, fining him, detention, interrogation, sending him to a forced labor camp, beatings, tying him up, electric shocks, force feeding, hanging up in the air, etc. In April 2003, the Sichuan Xinhua Labor Camp sent Mr. Wu to the Mianyang Third People's Hospital, where he was injected with drugs that were harmful to his nervous system. He was also forced to ingest drugs that dulled his reactions and slowed down his physical movements. His facial muscles developed a slight paralysis and were misshapen. He also felt numb on parts of his body and drooled uncontrollably.

From July 20, 1999 to August 2004, the Zhaojue County Party Committee Assistant Deputy Secretary Wu Jinping, the Politics and Law Committee Secretary Yang Tongcai, and Tian Maoqi from Country Security Team, together with the Public Security Bureau, the local police station, the Culture and Education Bureau and the school were jointly responsible for monitoring Mr. Wu. They ordered school secretary Zhang Li to seize control of his wages. Then they took all of their expenses for his persecution directly from his wages.

Recent Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners from Tieli City, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 21, 2005, the local police and the 610 Office arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Guoyan of Shenshu Town, Tieli City, Heilongjiang Province. They searched her residence and confiscated her Falun Dafa books, audiotapes and CD's. Her husband was able to escape through sending forth righteous thoughts. The policeman Zhou attempted to pursue and capture him, but the husband got away. He is now homeless and has to move from place to place to avoid being captured.

On June 25, 2005, the police from the Harbin Nangang public security branch and the Tieli City 610 Office arrested Ms. Li's son Tian Shiguang at his residence in Harbin City . They put Tian in the Nangang District Detention Center. The next day they sent him to the Tieli City No. 1 Prison. Practitioners Ms. Li Guoyan, Ms. Wang Jidan and Ms. Ma Yonghong of Fengzhen were detained. Fellow practitioner Ms. Li Dongju was detained at the No. 2 Prison.

In late May 2005, the police arrested Ms. Li Dongju for copying Falun Gong truth clarification flyers by hand. Ms. Wang Jidan of Shenshu Town learned Falun Gong in 2004. On June 8, 2005, she was found distributing Dafa flyers and letters at the police station, so they arrested her. These two ladies were both detained in Tieli City. Later, the police saw the news about the arrests of Ms. Li Guoyan and Ms. Wang on the Internet. The local police were surprised, scared, and upset. They blamed Ms. Li's son, Tian Shiguang, for leaking the information.

On June 12, 2005, Tian went with his mother, Ms. Li, to the Shenshu Police Station to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to Director Lv Fajiang. They also wanted to demand the release of Ms. Li Dongju and Ms. Wang Jidan. However, the director was not on duty that day, so mother and son were able to leave safely. Later they heard that Director Lv claimed he would have arrested both of them and sent them to the Tieli Prison.

At the Tieli Prison, the new practitioner Ms. Wang Jidan broke under the cruel torture. She confessed that Ms. Li had been teaching her the Falun Gong exercises and telling her to distribute the flyers. On June 21, 2005, the police arrested Ms. Li and were looking for her husband, too. Her son, Tian Shiguang, was at school in Harbin and did not know what was happening at home. When searching the house, the police found and read Tian's diary. It confirmed that Tian was also a Falun Gong practitioner. They located him through his cell phone and arrested him.

On August 3, 2005, Ms. Li Guoyan, Tian Shiguang, Ms. Li Dongju and Ms. Ma Yonghong were taken in a police van to Harbin and Suihua for sentences of three years. Tian Shiguang was sent to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp, while the three women practitioners were sent to Harbin Women's Forced Labor Camp (also known as a drug rehabilitation center). On that day, Tian kept sending forth righteous thoughts during the drive. At the physical checkup in Suihua, Tian was found to have lots of problems with his heart, liver and kidneys, so the Suihua Forced Labor Camp refused to accept him. He was immediately transferred back to the Tieli City No. 2 Prison. When the women arrived at the Harbin Women's Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Li Guoyan failed the physical exam because she had a heart problem. On the second day, they sent her back to the Tieli City No. 2 Prison. Ms. Li Dongju and Ms. Ma Yonghong were detained in the Harbin Women's Forced Labor Camp.

The Tieli police did not release Ms. Li Guoyan and Tian at that time. First they intended to send the mother and son to the Yichun Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. On the night of August 9, 2005, Tian suddenly became seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital for emergency care. The prison police released Tian and his mother a little past 4 p.m. on August 19, 2005. They were listed as "released for medical treatment," because they feared he would die.

After he recuperated for a bit, Tian Shiguang left home to avoid the continued persecution.

On September 11, 2005, Ms. Li Dongju's father came to the Harbin Women's Forced Labor Camp to visit her, but was only allowed a 15-minute visit. The discipline instructor of the camp mentioned that Ms. Li was too stubborn, but if the father could persuade her to abandon Falun Gong, they would extend the visit longer. The father and daughter only met for 15 minutes. Later it was said that there was a poem written on the wall of Ms Li Dongju's cell.

Dafa is in our hearts
You can confine only one person
But there are millions of others"

Kindergarten Principal Ms. Cai Shufen in Dalian Died Due to Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. Cai Shufen was a kindergarten principal at the Dalian Heavy Duty Machinery Company Ltd. in Liaoning Province. Various levels of the Party considered her a main target for persecution. She passed away on September 1, 2005.

Ms. Cai Shufen was 65 years old. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she had various sicknesses such as lupus nephritis (1). She started practicing in 1993, and through the practice she became healthy. She introduced Falun Gong to friends, relatives and neighbors. She coordinated various practice sites and study groups in the Xianglujiao District, Dalian.

After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, the Dalian City Police Station, the Dalian Xigang District Police Division, the Xianglujiao Police Department and the Xianglujiao local street officials targeted her for persecution as they considered her a key local practitioner in the area. They detained, tortured and harassed her over a long period of time.

In early 2000, the officials detained Ms. Cai for a month for practicing the exercises outdoors. In October 2000, she went to Beijing to clarify the truth. When she came back from Beijing, she was sentenced to 2 years in a forced labor camp. During the time of her detention, they tortured her. She succumbed to the torture and brainwashing and acted against her conscience. When she left the labor camp, she was able to understand what had happened and wrote a Solemn Declaration and resumed the practice. She also helped other practitioners to resume their practice on the right path.

In October 2002, the Jinnanlu Police Department detained her for 3 months. In the winter of 2003, she was clarifying the truth to a security guard in Dalian Liande District. He reported her to the authorities and the Lianhelu Police Department arrested her. She went on a hunger strike for 12 days and came out of the detention center nobly.

Over the course of 6 years of persecution, Mr. Cai Shufen suffered intense pressure and pain due to the harassment from the officers at the police stations and local officials. In June 2005, the Xianglujiao Police Department announced that they would arrest her again; she and her family were under much pressure. On September 1, 2005, she passed away.

Six Dafa Practitioners from Hebei, Heilongjiang, and Henan Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhao Xiuzhu, 59, lived in Mengdongzhuang Village, Luancheng County, Hebei Province. She was a teacher. She had serious rheumatism before she learned Falun Dafa. Both of her legs swelled up to become thick and hard. It was difficult for her to stand while teaching her students, so she often had to remain seated. After she learned Falun Dafa, she recovered completely in a short time, and her teaching standard was raised. Because she often clarified the truth in the education system and to all of the leaders, she was sent to brainwashing sessions and was treated as a key practitioner to be persecuted by the county public security bureau. She was imprisoned many times. Some time after 4:00 a.m. on December 15, 1999, Ms. Zhao left home by herself and went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Late at night on the second day, she was illegally arrested and returned by the local public security office, and then imprisoned in the Luancheng County lockup for one month. Because she clarified the truth and validated Dafa constantly, the public security bureau and the school authorities monitored her closely. She was imprisoned, her family's property was confiscated, and she was tracked and harassed many times. Whenever a politically sensitive date approached, she was harassed repeatedly. On August 26, 2005, she passed away.

Ms. Lu Xiaolan, 77, lived in the 49^th Building, Xianjin District, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. She lived with her daughter. After she learned Falun Dafa in 1997, her many illnesses disappeared. Her daughter also cultivated and practiced. When the persecution began in 1999, the police went to her home to harass her family. They confiscated her daughter's property and arrested her daughter. When her daughter went to Beijing to validate Dafa, the police from the Zhongshan Police Station extorted 700 yuan from Ms. Lu. Her daughter's frequent imprisonment took its toll on Ms. Lu's body and mind. In September 2002, her daughter was illegally sentenced to two years in prison. Ms. Lu was sent to a retirement home now that she was left without anyone to look after her. In July 2003, she passed away.

Mr. Li Zhenshan, 75, was a retired staff member from the Sandi Rug Factory in Anyang City of Henan Province, and lived on South Street of the Wenfeng District. Before he started cultivating, he smoked, drank, and had gastric disease year-round. In 1996, after he learned Falun Dafa, he had a healthy mind and body. Many of his children went to Beijing to validate Dafa in 2000, and they were illegally imprisoned. Mr. Li was searched and harassed by the municipal 610 Office, Wenfeng District 610 Office, and the national security section of the Wenfeng Police Station for a long time. In May 2004, when police illegally searched him, he had a serious incident, which affected his mental capacity. On the evening of July 20, 2004, he suddenly had a cerebral hemorrhage and died after several days.

Ms. Ma Yu, 34, was a university graduate and a staff member at the Anyang Municipal Medical Supply Investigation Bureau in Henan Province. In 2000, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa and safely returned. In March 2001, she was illegally detained at a brainwashing center and persecuted there. She firmly cultivated and practiced, so she was able to leave using the power of righteous thoughts. After that, she was a focal point of the persecution by the municipal 610 Office in Wenfeng District. She was illegally searched and arrested many times by the national security section of the Wenfeng Police Station. This was done at the direction of the head of the municipal 610 Office Wang Yuansheng and the head of the Wenfeng District 610 Office Huang Ze. After she went on hunger strike and escaped with the help of righteous thoughts, she was not allowed to work for a long time, and they stopped paying her wages. She suffered greatly in both body and mind. At the beginning of August 2005, Ms. Ma passed away.

Ms. Zhang Ying, 28, was a Dafa practitioner from Gulou East Street in Wenfeng District of Anyang City, Henan Province. After she learned Falun Dafa in 1998, her congenital heart disease vanished. After the evil began to persecute Dafa, she was often harassed by the national security section of the Wenfeng Police Station. On May 25, 2000, she passed away.

Ms. Zhang Fengying, 76, lived close to Gulou Square, in Wenfeng District of Anyang City, Henan Province. She was a retired staff member from the Municipal Rug Factory. After enduring long-term harassment and intimidation, she passed away in September 2003.

Practitioners Exchange Experiences and Insights

Erecting One's Palm Does Not Equal Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) The Minghui/Clearwisdom website recently published an article entitled "Understanding of Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts." We agree with the practitioner's opinions, but also wanted to add some additional thoughts, using some specific examples.

Whenever practitioners mention sending forth righteous thoughts, many of them think of eliminating evil using divine powers, yet they don't look inward when facing problems or issues. They consider erecting palms as a universal way of solving their problems. True righteous thoughts give Dafa practitioners wisdom. Why can't they think of proper solutions when they encounter problems?

We frequently hear practitioners use the word "interference." Here are some examples:

Certain practitioners went to a hospital with severe sickness karma. After being saved from serious situations, they didn't look inward to find any issues with their xinxing. Instead, they simply erected their palms to eliminate "interference." Because Master is living overseas, a few overseas practitioners would rather ask Master when they face issues instead of looking for root causes themselves and trying to understand and solve the problems on their own.

When specific practitioners were helping those practitioners who had sickness karma and were hospitalized, they didn't have the attitude of being responsible to practitioners and being responsible for Dafa, to encourage the practitioners to view and solve problems from the standpoint of a cultivator. They only erected their palms every day. When practitioners couldn't stay clear-minded for a long period of time, they just kept reading the Fa to them and repeatedly persuaded them to "firmly believe in righteous thoughts; don't accept any treatment." On the surface, the practitioners didn't take any medicine, but in fact, they were trying to use reading Dafa books as medicine. They made the doctors think they were weird: if you don't want to be treated, then why did you come here? As a result, when practitioners faced the risk of losing their life or when some practitioners actually lost their lives, it made their families misunderstand Dafa. Then those practitioners would say the practitioners who died "didn't have strong righteous thoughts," and they tried their best to "support them using their righteous thoughts."

Some practitioners still live in conflicts and don't solve some basic cultivation problems well, which causes misunderstanding and negatively impacts newer practitioners and non-practitioners. The effect of their Dafa work was also not good. Some practitioners didn't help others in a kind way. When practitioners had difficulties they just said, "you don't have enough righteous thoughts," "you have attachments," or "you carry too much karma," and turned their backs on those practitioners.

The 24-hour non-stop petition for stopping the persecution in front of Chinese consulates is of great support for practitioners in Mainland China. Some overseas practitioners felt though, "The duty at the Chinese Consulates is not meaningful." They thought they could take a nap in the car in front of the Consulates because it might affect their work during the day. Eventually they even refused to go anymore. The practitioners who were responsible for arranging these events often felt it to be very difficult. More evil, therefore, accumulated in front of the Chinese Consulates and it manifested as "interference." Some practitioners got beaten, some were photographed by the Chinese officials, and other such things took place.

When clarifying the truth in New York started, many practitioners viewed this as an opportunity to advance in cultivation. Initially, all of them wanted to go to New York. Even some practitioners in charge of their local Dafa work wanted to give up their local work and go to New York to "establish their mighty virtue." Some practitioners in charge even said, "We are going to New York and will leave the local opportunities of establishing mighty virtue to you ordinary practitioners." One year passed. After everybody rushed to New York, no more people went. The ones who are left in New York are overloaded with Dafa work. The duty in front of Chinese Consulates now didn't get easier because everybody is returning from New York. In fact, no matter what we do as Dafa practitioners, isn't there always a cultivation factor involved? No matter what we do, there is always a basic consideration--are we doing it to pursue something of our own, or are we doing it for validating Dafa? The tenacity needed to overcome the difficulties and the responsibilities in doing any Dafa work is reflection of a practitioner's xinxing level.

To clarify the truth from overseas to Mainland China, using everyday society's media is a quite effective method in a peaceful environment. Now that we have media companies we should operate them well. But practitioners don't put enough thinking into it and don't want to learn strategies of running businesses and think that it's "ordinary people's business; we have righteous thoughts!" Whenever any issues come up in these operations, they erect their palms. But some issues still couldn't be solved and there were increasing conflicts among practitioners. Some would exclaim, "Why are the old forces so bad and won't let Dafa practitioners make money?" But even non-practitioners would comment after seeing the things we had not done well, "You operate the company this way and still want to make money?" Let's think about it: If gods were among ordinary people, how would they operate the company?

We are not supposed to have non-practitioners' attachments, but this doesn't mean we should abandon good business strategies ordinary people utilize. Now that we are using formats that non-practitioners use to clarify the truth, we should use them well. The culture of the human world was built by Master with the aid of Dafa practitioners and was initiated for today's Fa-rectification. Then, shouldn't it include effective business management methods? We are cultivators. We should learn these things better and faster than non-practitioners. We can't have the human mentality and take "righteous thoughts" for granted, refuse to learn and hide our laziness.

In addition, some practitioners want to take shortcuts. They don't try to clarify the truth in social groups to open up situations well. Instead, they often collect donations among practitioners and then consider the contributions from practitioners their own "achievements." Their financial management is not strict from even the aspect of the ordinary society. In fact, many of the strategies Dafa practitioners use are for clarifying the truth. The process of clarifying the truth well is the process of doing things better. By contrast, though, having certain things fulfilled (such as a concert, establishing a newspaper) is viewed as the most important, it will lead to deviated cultivation and will interfere with the overall harmony.

Six years have passed since the beginning of the persecution. Have we ever examined ourselves carefully to see if we still have fundamental attachments and whether or not we have gotten rid of them? When clarifying the truth, have we used the level of righteous principles of the human realm that could move non-practitioners? Are practitioners viewing righteous thoughts only as an extraordinary thing and ignoring their daily conduct?

In fact, when our divine thought is pure, we can use our supernormal abilities as we wish. This is just one of the reflections of righteous thoughts. Righteous thoughts reflect in our daily activities and in our cultivation. In our daily life we should always be calm, no matter what we encounter, deal with things compassionately and solve issues from the perspective of offering sentient beings salvation. Non-practitioners will then view us as positive, optimistic people with wisdom. They will see the wonders of Dafa reflected in us and hence recognize Dafa and be saved. This is how we have validated Dafa.

Using divine powers and sending forth righteous thoughts is an awe-inspiring thing. In the field of compassionate righteous thoughts the evil has nowhere to go; however, the hand positions that Master taught us to use when sending forth righteous thoughts are sacred. They are the reflection of the solemn nature of the Buddha Fa. Before we hold one palm erect, we should examine our minds and see if the thoughts comply with the level of an enlightened being. If our thoughts are based on hatred, anger and fear, it would supply the evil with more energy, because we are thus combating evil with evil and we will not reach the result of eliminating the evil. That is the reason why merely having the thought of eliminating evil doesn't equate with righteous thoughts.

All the things in the old cosmos, including our parts that have not been fully cultivated, are no longer pure due to deviation. On the other hand, things are rarely completely bad, otherwise we wouldn't even talk about salvation. If we are practitioners with a pure mind for offering living beings salvation, we should then always view things optimistically, highlight the positive factors in everything we encounter and examine our own shortcomings. This will then restrain the negative factors naturally and eliminate them. Even the old forces' interference will be dispelled and positively used.

Our cultivation level is limited, so please point out anything improper.

Assimilate to the Fa and Clarify the Truth to Fellow Schoolteachers and Students Widely and Thoroughly

(Clearwisdom.net) I am an elementary school teacher from Heilongjiang Province. During the past five years, I have been arrested four times and illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. In 2001 I returned to my teaching job. By then my peers, students and relatives had learned that I practiced Falun Gong, so I have been able to talk about Falun Gong openly. It has become an excellent environment for me to clarify the truth. For the past few years, I have been validating Falun Gong at work through my actions and have taken every opportunity to clarify the truth to my fellow schoolteachers and students. This helps me save the lives poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) lies.

I will summarize below my experiences in validating the Fa during the past few years.

Taking Advantage of Every Opportunity to Tell My Supervisors and Colleagues the Facts about Falun Gong

I was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp in 2001. After I was released at the end of 2001, the Chairman of the Education Committee and the principal came to visit me at home. I thought this was a wonderful opportunity to clarify the truth to them. When the Chairman asked me about my future plans, I told him, "I have been trying to be a good person according to Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. When I return to work, I will prove this through my work ethics. I hope that you will accept me as I am." Next I told them the facts of the persecution against me. I didn't feel any fear and therefore could clarify the truth with confidence. After hearing what I had to say, the Chairman of the Education Committee asked no further questions.

Three days later I returned to work. I have used every opportunity to clarify the truth to my supervisors and colleagues during our routine interactions, at banquets, and during every activity.

Before I returned to work, the principal met with my colleagues and asked them to convince me to renounce Falun Gong. He also told them, "If you cannot change her mind, at least do not be persuaded to practice Falun Gong." Soon after I returned to work, the tension disappeared. Even the principal himself told me, "I will stop monitoring you."

When I first returned to work, I was sent to the computer lab to type materials. It was a great opportunity to interact with my colleagues. I thought that I must use this opportunity. Because I had been arrested three times, some of my colleagues had developed a negative attitude about me. They didn't know the truth about Falun Gong. Given the media's smear campaign against Falun Gong, some of them actually believed that I was not normal. What should I do? I felt that I should interact with them more frequently to help them understand the truth. They were severely poisoned by the CCP's lies about Falun Gong and often wrote negative things about Falun Gong in their materials. I began to address what they had written. Because I was responsible for typing nearly all the materials, I would delete all the content regarding Falun Gong in their reports or the Brigade Department's propaganda materials. Once the Chairman was in the room while I was typing the report. I told her not to write about Falun Gong any longer because it would be bad for her. She said the principal told her to do so and that she would be reprimanded if she deleted the content about Falun Gong. I told her, "The principal will not reprimand you." She believed me and removed the bad material about Falun Gong. Then I started clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to her. I held very strong righteous thoughts and was determined to stop the evil from undermining Falun Gong.

Sometimes the principal also mentioned Falun Gong in his writings, but I never hesitated to delete those instances either. It was just like Teacher has said,

"If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist." (From "Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)

I deleted all slander about Falun Gong from my school's materials. I also sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil factors. The teachers' reports no longer contained anything about Falun Gong.

My colleagues often came to the computer lab to type reports. If they didn't know how to type or use the printer, I agreed to help them immediately. In our conversations they often asked me about Falun Gong. I told them about the persecution I had suffered and the truth about Falun Gong. I explained to them that the self-immolation incident at Tiananmen Square was a hoax. Each time we talked in a very friendly atmosphere. Some of them eventually understood and accepted the truth about Falun Gong.

During truth-clarification, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts while remaining compassionate and peaceful. I moved naturally to the subject of Falun Gong. When my colleagues failed to accept the truth, I would not argue with them. Instead, I would find the opportune moment to eliminate their misunderstanding about Falun Gong. Sometimes when I failed to fully clarify the truth in one conversation, I would remember to continue next time. Because I got along with my colleagues very well, I remained part of their social circle. Everyone enjoyed my company. Because of my patient explanations, all the schoolteachers finally understood and accepted the truth. Sometimes when they heard official "facts" of the persecution, they became very upset and angry. They complained that society is so evil that it is not easy to be a good person.

Most of my interactions are with my supervisors, especially the principal. She had an attachment to fear and a very strong attachment to fame and self-interest. Moreover, she didn't know the truth about Falun Gong. Therefore, I used every opportunity I could to talk to her, repeatedly sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors, and encouraged her kind nature. We held friendly conversations. The assistant principal liked me very much. She was worried that I might be arrested again for practicing Falun Gong, so she often wanted to talk me out of practicing Falun Gong. Out of kindness, I clarified the truth to her. I told her that I would be very rational and wise. I have also asked her not to write any guarantee that I wouldn't practice Falun Gong again. I also told her that she must not produce any negative propaganda against Falun Gong or write any such guarantee herself.

Each time my supervisors tried to talk me into renouncing Falun Gong, I would take the opportunity to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Their attempts became opportunities for me to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and reveal the evil's persecution to them. I told them about the persecution I had experienced firsthand and heard about. Finally they became indignant towards the persecution.

At last the principal accepted me and started trusting me. She no longer asked anyone to monitor me. We talked about everything. Once she said, "You have truly met the standard of a cultivator. I really admire you. You must pay attention to safety." During the 16th National People's Congress, she was truly worried about me. She told me in private, "Why don't you stay at home for a few days until the congress is over. Go into hiding. We cannot afford to fight with them." I replied, "Relax. It is all right."

A lot of material had to be typed and checked for spelling. Often I didn't take my lunch break. No matter how busy I was, I always finished on time without complaint. If materials were needed in a hurry, I would take the work home. When my supervisor realized this, she was very touched. My colleagues felt it was unjust. Some veteran schoolteachers went to the supervisors and told them that they had given me too much to type. They complained, "She is such a kind person and never says no to anyone, but we don't want to see her suffer. You really must reduce her workload." In the second semester, the principal reduced my workload by half and told me, "You are very popular."

Through our frequent interactions, I established a strong friendship with my supervisors and my colleagues. I helped them develop righteous thoughts. During the past few years, there have been three different principals. I repeatedly clarified the truth to each of them and have never missed any opportunity to do so. The first principal was an elderly man. At his retirement party, he told me in front of all the guests, "I admire you more than anyone. You have the courage to speak up and persevere in the truth. I hope you will cultivate in Falun Gong diligently!" After interacting with me, the second principal stopped slandering Falun Gong.

Once I asked my bosses for help to get a full refund of the illegal fines collected by the police during the two arrests. Both the principal and assistant principal helped me get the refund. The assistant principal even took me to the 610 Office, the local police station and the public security to demand the full refund. She told them that I was an exceptional employee at school. After one year, I finally received a full refund. The outcome has transformed many of my colleagues' impressions of Falun Gong. Some of the schoolteachers commented, "It proves that it is wrong to persecute Falun Gong. Otherwise, they wouldn't have issued you a refund."

After the third principal arrived at her post, she made a few attempts in the beginning to have me renounce Falun Gong in writing. Of course I refused. Instead, I introduced Falun Gong to her and clarified the truth about Falun Gong and China's evil persecution against Falun Gong. I also sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors manipulating her into violating my freedom of spiritual belief. By doing so, I have effectively suppressed the evil.

Send Forth Righteous Thoughts to Eliminate the Interference; Clarify the Truth to Students and Their Parents

A fellow practitioner once reminded me during an experience-sharing gathering: "You must not be restricted to one working environment. You should try to get in touch with students in order to save the children." I realized that I should expand my target audience when I clarify the truth. Thus, I started sending forth righteous thoughts, denying all of the old forces' arrangements and eliminating all factors interfering with the Fa-rectification. Meanwhile, I asked for Teacher's reinforcement with my righteous thoughts. Soon the school had me teach a class.

First I was asked to teach one subject and then I was given the responsibility of class advisor. I treated every student with the kindness I had cultivated through my Falun Gong cultivation practice. I started with moral education to rectify my students' speech and actions. I nurtured their morality and conduct. I cared about every student's growth. My sincerity and affection touched my students and I soon won their trust. In fact, my students and I have become good friends. I often clarified the truth to them in a friendly atmosphere. My students have come to know that Falun Gong is good.

One semester, I taught eight social studies classes. This subject includes discussions about religion and spiritual belief, such as the legend of Huang Di (or the Yellow Emperor), where he soars into the sky on the back of a Chinese dragon when the heavenly gate opens up after he dies, and Shakyamuni's cultivation stories. While I taught the students these stories, I also told them more about cultivation practice. I taught them about the existence of divine beings, as well as freedom of religion and spiritual belief. The students were all ears when I told them cultivation stories and the stories about the universe ultimately rewarding good deeds and punishing bad deeds. I taught my students that they should be of high morals.

Once a student said in class, "Teacher, these are superstitions." I replied, "No, they are not. There have always been cultivators in Chinese history. Modern laws grant everyone freedom of spiritual belief." Next he asked, "Is Falun Gong a superstition?" I replied, "Falun Gong is not a superstition, either. It is a Buddha school cultivation practice. It is also a type of spiritual belief. Falun Gong practitioners are trying to become better people and conduct themselves according to Falun Gong's cultivation principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. It is actually a wonderful thing." Another student asked me about the staged self-immolation in Tiananmen Square. I clarified the truth about that infamous incident and told them that it was a hoax to instigate people's hatred of and fear towards Falun Gong. During question and answer sessions, I clarified the truth about Falun Gong. I did not neglect to teach the subject. By clarifying the truth rationally and wisely while keeping righteous thoughts at all times, I eliminated successfully these children's bad thoughts about Falun Gong.

Once I happened to spot a student with a Falun Gong flyer in his hand. Suddenly it occurred to me that I should use the opportunity to clarify the truth. I took the flyer and asked the class, "Where did you find the flyer?" They told me that they had found it on the ground. I told them, "Its content is wonderful. I enjoy reading it too." Then the students started to debate with one another. Some of them said Falun Gong was bad, but others thought it was good. Some of them mentioned the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square. I told the class, "Actually, Falun Gong is a very good cultivation practice. No one should ban Falun Gong. There is nothing wrong with its principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

A student then asked me, "Teacher, do you practice Falun Gong?" The abrupt question did not make me panic. I didn't avoid the question. I answered them directly, "Yes, I have been practicing Falun Gong for eight years." Next I told them a brief summary of my four illegal arrests and detention. They were very touched by my personal stories. I asked the class, "Do you think I look like a bad person?" The class replied, "Teacher, you are by no means a bad person. You have been very kind to us." Some said, "Teacher, if anyone dares to arrest you, I will fight with him." Finally I told the class to remember that Falun Gong is good.

During my cultivation practice, I have truly felt that Falun Gong practitioners' righteous thoughts are powerful. Once I heard that a young colleague of mine often told her class that Falun Gong is bad and that they shouldn't practice Falun Gong. After I heard the news, I thought to myself, "I must find an opportunity to save the children in her class." The following semester, the principal asked me to become that class's advisor because the former advisor was about to take her maternity leave. I was asked to teach the class for a semester. I was immensely grateful to Teacher's compassion and cherished this opportunity very much.

During that semester, I not only paid attention to their education, but also worked on their moral education. I taught them to be more independent and have high aspirations. I taught them to become better people and helped rectify their behavior. Several children in the class were stealing. After a semester, they stopped stealing. Their parents were very grateful. Many of the students were only children and thus very selfish. I instilled good values in them, such as honesty, kindness, charity and returning other people's lost money or valuables. I told them many stories from Chinese mythology, such as the stone lion with red eyes, the deer with nine shades of color, the deceitful child eaten by a wolf and Shakyamuni's cultivation stories. The entire class enjoyed these stories. Once a student asked me during a class, "Teacher, I would like to know why you are so different from other teachers. Why are you so nice to us?" I replied, "I have become kinder and more agreeable after I started practicing Falun Gong. Besides, I like you very much."

Another student asked, "Could you tell us how you started practicing Falun Gong?" I replied, "I am glad to have the opportunity to teach this class for a semester." Then I told them about my cultivation experience and facts of China's persecution against me. They have also remembered that Falun Gong is good. Because of my enthusiasm in education and my genuine concern for the children's life and learning, their parents showered me with praises and asked my advise on educating children. I patiently shared my viewpoints. In our pleasant conversations, I shared the facts about Falun Gong with them.

That semester's work was very rewarding. My class learned the truth about Falun Gong and their parents have accepted me. Their parents told each other, "She is such a wonderful teacher. She is genuinely concerned for the children." Some parents told me, "Before I knew you, I thought Falun Gong was bad. Now we no longer think Falun Gong is bad." I began to clarify the truth to them in detail. I also loaned them Teacher's Fa lectures in audiocassettes and in VCD. Some parents have started practicing Falun Gong. The former class advisor has returned after her maternity break. She and I have become good friends. Through our friendship, she now has a positive impression of Falun Gong and has accepted the truth about Falun Gong.

My school supervisors have talked to me and asked me not to talk about Falun Gong at school. I replied, "Principal, when my colleagues say, 'Falun Gong practitioners are abnormal because they will commit suicide, kill people and are political,' I have to explain the truth to them because they are spreading vicious rumors. I have been trying to become a better person by practicing Falun Gong. If I don't explain the truth about Falun Gong to them, they will think of me as a bad person. What is wrong with learning the truth?" Some of my supervisors forbade me to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the children. I told them, "I have always brought out the best in the students, therefore I will teach them about religion and spiritual belief. All of these subjects are part of our curriculum. Once a student asked me, 'Teacher, you are a Falun Gong practitioner. Will you kill anybody?' I replied, 'No, I will never kill anyone. Do not listen to any lies about Falun Gong. A good person will never kill anyone.' There is nothing wrong with giving my students the correct knowledge. There is nothing wrong with teaching my students to become better people!" In the end the principal did not have anything to say. Finally she told me, "From now on, you need to be more cautious. We are worried about any problems. I, too, am concerned for you." I replied, "Don't worry. I will be very rational."

Over the past few years, my work environment has changed. I teach different subjects each semester, work in a different office each semester and have been in contact with different groups of people. By clarifying the truth in detail to different people, some predestined people have already started practicing Falun Gong. Four people from my school once began to persecute Falun Gong. After I returned to work, a fellow practitioner and I found those two people and talked with them. We brought them Teacher's lectures and other Falun Gong materials. Finally the two of them returned to Falun Gong. Because we keep encouraging each other and try to do well the three things that practitioners should do, four people started reading Falun Gong books and two of them have become practitioners. Some of my colleagues have read the Falun Gong books and one of them told me that she would start practicing Falun Gong after she retires in a year. All of them help promote Falun Gong and clarify the truth about Falun Gong in different ways. They often clarify the truth to our supervisors and colleagues when the opportunity arises. Some of my colleagues enjoy reading Falun Gong truth-clarification materials and have strong righteous thoughts.

Beginning with this semester, I will be teaching classes again at school. I know I have an important mission. After all, there are so many children waiting to be saved. I must be diligent in my cultivation practice and cultivate myself solidly.

For the past few years, I have been conducting myself at work according to Falun Gong's cultivation principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance at all times. I try to do the three things well. I will not miss any opportunity to clarify the truth, even at basketball games, school celebration parties and other types of activities, such as class reunions and school dinner parties. I use these opportunities to clarify the truth and bring them the beauty of Falun Gong. At work I am often showered with praise. "Since you started practicing Falun Gong, you have changed tremendously. You are healthy and cheerful. You do your job well. You have a harmonious family. I will start practicing Falun Gong, too." "You truly keep peace of mind. You do not fight over anything. I truly envy you." The Education Committee supervisor once said, "Your supervisor is very pleased with your work. I told him, 'You are perfect, except that you practice Falun Gong.'" I replied, "If it had not been Falun Gong, I would not be so perfect. It is Falun Gong that makes me a good employee."

During my cultivation practice, I truly feel the importance of studying the Fa well. Everything comes from the Fa. Sometimes when I fail to clarify the truth clearly, it is because I have not had a clear understanding of the Fa. When I study the Fa with a peaceful mind, I will understand everything. When I upgrade my xinxing, I will be able to help everyday people understand and accept the truth about Falun Gong. Only when we assimilate to the Fa will we be able to do the Three Things well.

A Young Practitioner: Falun Dafa Remade My Life

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Xiaoming and I am fourteen years old, from Hunan Province. I began practicing Falun Dafa in early 2005, and soon the rhinitis and stomach problems I suffered from disappeared. Even my brain tumor disappeared. After eight months of cultivation practice I became a very healthy person and truly felt the joy of relief, thanks to Master and Dafa, who gave me this new life.

In 1999 when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its persecution of Falun Dafa, my aunt, a practitioner, often told me stories about Dafa. Since I was young and ignorant and also because the persecution was severe at that time, with slanderous propaganda all over, I did not believe what my aunt said. However, I still reasoned in my mind, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" - there is nothing wrong about these words at all. Why would anyone need to persecute something like that? Ever since my aunt started practicing Falun Gong, she had become nicer to people and worked with greater diligence than before. I wondered, why are good people such as her being sent to brainwashing centers?

In 2003 I began to suffer from severe headaches. When my aunt came back from Shaoyang and saw me, she encouraged me to earnestly say, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great," and "Falun Dafa is great." I felt a strong response in my mind. I decided to test it out and sincerely recited, "Falun Dafa is good" every day.

I had been sick ever since birth. More money was spent on my medical condition than both my parents' health insurance amounted to. Every three months I would suffer from a minor illness and a major one every few years. As a child I suffered from severe rhinitis as well as severe stomach problems. These illnesses made me extremely weak. In July 2004, a tumor was discovered in my head. I began suffering severely painful headaches, to the point where I vomited and could not eat or sleep well. My parents took me to the best hospitals around the country to find treatment, but the suggested remedies they received were disheartening. I was hanging between life and death while my family's money supply was drying out. My parents were in despair.

But benevolent Master never gave up on me. In 2004, with the help of other practitioners, my aunt was able to return home and patiently talked with my mom and me. She told us many amazing stories about Dafa.

At the beginning of 2005, my mom and I began the path of cultivation and overcame many difficulties. Eight months later, cultivation practice has made me healthy and strong, in addition to curing my rhinitis and stomach problems, as well as the brain tumor that could have taken my life. Now I feel both healthy and happy.

Through studying the Fa, I have improved my mind and strengthened my body. Before, I was argumentative and selfish, often breaking into arguments with my sister over trivial matters. Through Dafa I am able to understand that gains and losses in this world should not matter to practitioners and that one should conduct oneself with high standards when in conflict with others. As a practitioner, I should be compassionate with all people, not to mention my own sister. After looking inside myself I found that my selfishness was due to protecting my own interests. After correcting this attitude, I never fought with my sister again. Now, whenever something does not proceed according to my wishes, I no longer feel upset, but rather notice a sense of comfort and joy. Under Master's guidance, I learned that the things of ordinary humans are nothing. No matter how much you are attached to something, be it fame, self-interest, or emotion, eventually it is all in vain. The only thing that is real is Dafa. I am sure that Dafa is the best, for Dafa has reshaped my life.

In the process of cultivation, I conform to Dafa's standards and adhere to the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and nothing else.

I know that I still have not let go of enough human attachments and notions to rise to a better level. I will set higher standards for myself, follow the Fa as my teacher, and walk well the cultivation path that Master has arranged for me.

Get Rid of Attachments and Be Diligent in Cultivation

(Clearwisdom.net) After reading Teacher's new article "The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be" (October 8, 2005), I felt that all the words were meant for me. I felt ashamed for still having so many attachments after seven years of cultivation. Here I share my painful experiences in getting rid of attachments during the past month and hope that fellow practitioners can benefit from it.

I attained the Fa in September 1998. After the persecution started in July 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal. I was detained twice and was sent to a forced labor camp for three years. I was also fired from my job.

In July 2003, another company hired me. I worked very hard, went to work early and left late, and clarified the truth to the people around me. Disturbances and confusion, however, frequently appeared in my mind. I was not able to rectify myself with the Fa promptly. I was a group leader, and one day when I assigned work to a group member, the co-worker complained about the low salary and did not want to do more work. I argued with my co-worker, which caused my co-worker to cry and shout. The co-worker also reported the matter to the manager.

My environment changed with my poor mindset, and people turned hostile toward me. Suddenly I felt that many hardships were coming all at once, so I started to look inward to see what I had done wrong and sent forth righteous thoughts more often to negate the arrangements by the old forces. I thought that even though I might have loopholes, Teacher would rectify me. I would not accept persecution from the old forces.

While looking inward, I tried hard to take care of work issues. Sometimes my work was really busy, and sometimes I could not sleep at night. I was behind in my Fa-study and exercises, and that affected my truth-clarification. Attachments and human notions frequently disturbed me.

I realized that I did not study the Fa diligently enough, even though I was doing the three things. I did not realize that my human notions were disturbing me. I decided that I would only follow the arrangements made by Teacher. No evil was qualified to test me and I would never waver in my belief in Falun Dafa!

According to the Fa, I did not pay enough attention to my speech, and people misunderstood me. As a result, it left a negative impact. Since most people around me knew the truth of Falun Dafa and most of them denounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the environment was very favorable. Sometimes I used the Fa standard to measure ordinary people instead of myself. When they failed to listen to me, I would be unhappy. Actually, the problem was with me, but I did not look inward.

While I was looking inward, painfully using the Fa as a standard, one co-worker told me, "Our bonuses are so small. Everyone says it's because of you!" I was shocked and thought, "I was studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts to negate the old forces. Why couldn't I overcome this tribulation?" I felt overwhelmed. Right then, a fellow practitioner visited me at my home and said, "Forget about yourself and proceed with determination. Then see what happens!"

I realized that Teacher was enlightening me with the practitioner's words. I should not care about who was right or wrong: my duty was to save sentient beings. After my mindset changed, the environment changed instantly. I remembered portions of Teacher's Fa one after another, and I was enlightened to many aspects of the Fa.

Your body lies in prison - don't be sorrowful, don't be sad

With righteous thoughts and righteous actions, the Fa is here

Calmly reflect on how many attachments you have

As you get rid of human mentality, evil naturally disappears"

Before when I studied Teacher's poem above, I used to think that "prison" meant only a real cell. Now I realized that every one of us practitioners should break out from the imprisonment of our "human mindset and attachments." I also gained a better understanding of Teacher's poem "Solid Cultivation:"

"Study the Fa and obtain the Fa,

Share in learning and share in cultivating,

Following [the Fa] in everything,

Compliance is cultivation."

As a genuine practitioner, if we do not look at things happening around us according the Fa, that's not real cultivation. Because whatever happens to us is not coincidental, it is related to our minds and warns us to get rid of our attachments.

Cultivation is very solemn, and attachments are the shackles that block our way home and prevent us from saving sentient beings. The title of " Fa-rectification Period Disciple" is the most glorious in the universe, but we have to earn it.

Discussion on Studying the Fa and the Issue of Safety

(Clearwisdom.net) When I talk about safety, I should emphasize that without safety, we won't be able to validate the Fa or offer Teacher's salvation to sentient beings. Safety is of vital importance to us Falun Gong practitioners. We all know that we are under the protection of Teacher's Law Bodies during our cultivation, but we must behave like Falun Gong practitioners in our speech and actions. Especially in this special historic period of time when the universe is undergoing Fa-rectification, the old forces are disintegrating and the sentient beings are waiting for Teacher's salvation, we must cultivate ourselves well while offering Teacher's salvation to sentient beings in order to complete the historic mission the Fa has entrusted to us.

The evil old forces arranged sentient beings to commit crimes against the Fa in order to obstruct Falun Gong practitioners from saving sentient beings and to justify their destroying sentient beings. The Fa saves all sentient beings, including the old forces. On the other hand, the Fa has standards and the Fa is authoritative. We must eradicate those incorrigible evil old forces, rotten demons and evil factors that obstruct the Fa-rectification. Actually they are leading themselves to destruction. In order to save sentient beings and bring them to safety, we must study the Fa well.

Only when we study the Fa well will we be able to prevail against all the evil old forces in our speech and actions. This will enable us to save all sentient beings we must save and to complete our historic mission. In terms of studying the Fa, it is important that we focus more on the quality of our Fa study. We all know that the Fa guides our cultivation and guarantees improvement during our cultivation practice, but studying the Fa is by no means the same as studying everyday people's knowledge at school.

Interference by the old forces and the installation of the evil Chinese Communist Party's culture for the past several decades have severely compromised the quality of our Fa study, as well as everyday people's understanding of the Fa. We must eliminate all of this interference with our righteous thoughts to attain the goal of studying the Fa well, upgrading our cultivation practice, and saving sentient beings. We all know that the Fa is the source of all lives and substances. It is important to use the purest and most righteous source to cleanse our internal and external degenerated factors that fall short of the Fa's standards. Thus we may use the infinite wisdom the Fa has bestowed upon us to clarify the truth to people at different levels and eradicate the evil factors at different levels with our righteous thoughts. By doing so, we will be saving sentient beings in the safest way. If we should encounter a difficulty or the evil's persecution, we should use the opportunity to upgrade our cultivation practice and to turn it into a good thing to expose the evil persecution and to clarify the truth to save sentient beings. In doing so, we will be disintegrating the evil's persecution. And as we eradicate the evil factors, we will be harmonizing with the Fa to maintain the safety of the universe.

If we fail to study the Fa well, we won't be able to understand the Fa from the Fa. In other words, we will be doing truth-clarification work as everyday people and we will become vulnerable to the evil's attacks. We will also become oblivious to the issue of safety and forget about the safety of sentient beings. Then the evil old forces will rejoice in reaching their goal of "testing" us. If each and every Falun Gong practitioner instead studies the Fa well and understands the Fa from the Fa, our speech and actions will be in harmony with heaven and be meaningful at different levels. Our speech and actions will disintegrate the evil at different levels and free today's people from the evil manipulation by the old forces. We will also be able to help people quit the malevolent Communist Party and release them from the mental prison of the Communist Party. Thus we will be able to attain our goal of saving sentient beings and creating a beautiful future in the universe.

1. [Tianjin] Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp Detains Li Shufeng

Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin illegally detained sisters Ms. Li Shufeng and Ms. Li Shumin in 2001. Ms. Li Shumin was tortured to death while she was in the camp.

52-year old Li Shufeng was very firm with her belief while she was in the camp. Due to high blood pressure, she was released for medical treatment in late June 2004. She was forced to leave town and work odd jobs in early 2005. At that time the labor camp wanted her back after her health improved. She then disappeared suddenly in early August. At present, we know that the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp arrested her when she was working at an underground market. Her family went to visit her in the camp but they would not let them see her. The family left without seeing her but they left some clothes for her.

2. [Beijing] Peng Quan Is Arrested

Ms. Peng Quan from Beijing was arrested on September 28, 2005 at her home near Shuang Yushu, Haidian District. She is illegally detained at the Haidian Detention Center.

3. [Jiaohe, Jilin] Lu Qiang and Qu Jinfang Are Arrested

On October 4, 2005 a police arrested Mr. Lu Qiang and Ms. Qu Jinfang, both from Jiaohe City, Jilin province while they were distributing truth-clarification materials in the countryside. The police also took away their mobile phones.

4. [Dalian, Liaoning] Wang Haiyan Is Detained at Zhanglinzi Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Wang Haiyan is 55 years old and worked at a foreign trade company in Dalian City. He was sent to Zhanglinzi Forced Labor Camp for detention.

On September 27, 2005, an officer from the 610 office of Weihai city, Shangdong province dressed in civilian clothes and waited quietly in a black Santana automobile near Ms. Zhao's home for her. The officer arrested Ms. Zhao between 8 and 9 o'clock in the morning, ransacked her home and took her computer, two printers and other miscellaneous possessions. She was sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp on the morning of September 29.

6. [Yitong, Jilin] Songhong Illegally Taken from Home

At around 4 a.m. in the morning of September 19, 2005, Yu Bingyang, the Public Security Bureau Branch Chief of Dagushan Town, Yitong County, Jilin Province, along with 7 other people forced their way to Songhong's home in Dagushan Town and took Mr. Song away. His whereabouts are unknown to this today.

On January 27, 2005 Mr. Song went with six other people to Dongning County, Jilin Province to clarify the truth, and they were arrested and sent to forced labor camp. The camp rejected Mr. Song due to his poor health. The local police extorted 4000 yuan each from them and let them go. However, their freedom was short lived. The next day, the police came back to arrest all six of them. Three of them were spared due to extremely poor health. The other three, including Mr. Song, Zhao Jiayou and Lei Guoxia, were forced to leave home and live a homeless life.

7. [Shaoguan, Guangdong] Xu Yongtian from Qujiang District Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarification Material

Qujiang District police arrested Ms. Xu from Shaoguan, Qujiang District, Guangdong Province on September 25, 2005 while she was distributing truth-clarification materials. She is currently detained in the Qujiang Detention Center.

8. [Shenyang, Liaoning] Police Arrest Long Youhuo from Liaozhong County

Zhao Zhanglin, the Dahei Village Police Station Head, along with Wu Fei, a thug hired by the police, saw Mr. Long from Liaozhong County, Shenyang City and his companions distributing truth-clarification material at around 11 p.m. on October 1, 2005. The police forcefully arrested Mr. Long, but his friends safely got away.

Mr. Long suffered savage beatings from the local police, resulting in multiple injuries all over his body and serious swelling around his eyes and face. The county security office continued to torture him the next day, and his home was ransacked. He is now being illegally detained in the Liaozhong Detention Center.

9. [Jinan, Shandong] Zhao Zhen and Zhao Aihong, Brother and Sister, Are Illegally Detained

Mr. Liang, a deputy superintendent of the Dangjia Village Police Station in Jinan City, led a group of people unlawfully to break into and ransack Zhao's home on April 15, 2005. The brother and sister were both detained at the detention center in Jinan City. In May, they were sentenced to one year of forced labor. Ms. Zhao is illegally imprisoned at the Jiangshuiquan Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City while Mr. Zhao is serving out his sentence outside the camp.

10. [Jianping, Liaoning] Wang Guiling from Nianjiazi Village Is Arrested

Local police from the neighboring village of Nianjiazi arrested Ms. Wang and another practitioner in June 2005 while they were clarifying the truth at the village. They were both detained at the detention center in Jianping County. With strong righteous thoughts, they protested the arrest with a hunger strike, and each was subsequently released after four days and six days of detention respectively. The county public security bureau officers unexpectedly arrested Ms. Wang in mid-September while she was working in the field. The security officers told her family that she was transferred to Shenyang when the family asked about her. Her whereabouts are unknown at the moment.

11. [Chengde, Hebei] Guan Jingang and Two Other Practitioners from Luanping County Are Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarification Material

Police officers at Luanping County arrested three practitioners, husband and wife Mr. Guan Jingang and Ms. Chen Xiaoping, and Ms. Jin Xiuhui, on the night of October 1, 2005 while they were distributing truth-clarification material. They are detained at Luanping County Detention Center, and all three are on hunger strike to protest the arrest.

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again.
