Australia: Putting Chinese Diplomats in Queensland on Notice (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On October 18, 2005 some Falun Gong practitioners from South East Queensland gathered in front of the building where the new Chinese Consulate is located. They read out the "Falun Dafa Association Announcement" warning CCP officials to stop persecuting Falun Gong.
Soon after a practitioner started to read the announcement, a spurt of water [most likely from a fire hose] poured down from the roof of the building directly onto the practitioners and their display boards. The practitioners were not distracted by such harassment and continued to read the announcement.
Chinese Consulate workers hosed practitioners. Practitioners and their display boards were all wet.
Some passers-by across the road witnessed the incident. They showed great admiration of the demeanor and dignity demonstrated by Dafa practitioners and they were totally disgusted with the base conduct of the Chinese diplomats. People could not help commenting along the following lines: Chinese diplomats, don't you feel ashamed of your childish and ridiculous conduct? You must understand that you are in a democratic country and all citizens here have the right to express their opinions and to appeal. Australia is not under the CCP dictatorship, and your conduct has already violated the civil rights of Australian citizens. The Australian government takes this matter very seriously and the police are also in the process of further investigation about the incident.
In fact, what the Chinese diplomats did cannot harm Falun Gong practitioners at all. On the contrary, they have offered another opportunity for the world's people to see the evil nature of the Chinese Communist regime.
Practitioners sincerely warn the Chinese diplomats, "The CCP regime is against heaven's will, and is about to collapse. It is now having difficulty sustaining the persecution. Heaven's final judgment of these evil criminals is imminent. However, one of the purposes of the sacred FA of Falun Gong is to save people, including people in all social statuses. Even for those who have committed wrongdoings, there is still an opportunity for them to abandon the evil path and choose to be good."
Wake up! Stop helping those who do evil, otherwise you will only harm yourselves in the end.
Malaysia: Falun Gong Practitioners Clarify the Truth at the Malaysian Bar's Annual General Meeting (Photos)

Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia took this opportunity to clarify the truth to many meeting attendees, explaining how the Chinese Communist regime has extended its persecution to Malaysia.

Many lawyers attending the conference received Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials.Practitioners distributed materials at the meeting entrance and at bus stations and sidewalks near the meeting venue. Many attendees took the materials. Some said that they were already aware of Falun Gong, and others were very interested in lawsuits filed by practitioners. More and more in the legal profession are aware of the facts about Falun Gong.
Arizona: Introducing Falun Dafa to Native Americans (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) Indians are the earliest residents of America. Their history can be dated back to tens of thousands of years ago. Consequently, some call the Indians "Native Americans." When Europeans came to America, Indians suffered much injustice and inhuman treatments as they were the suppressed minority. The Native Americans can therefore understand the suffering of practitioners. They have, one after another, expressed their sympathy to practitioners and their outrage towards the unjust persecution. To further clarify the truth to Native Americans, while the Navajo Indians were holding their 37th-annual To'Nanees'Dizi Din¨¦ Fair from October 13 to 16, more than ten practitioners from Arizona, Utah and New Mexico went to Tuba to clarify the truth and introduce Falun Dafa to tens of thousands of the Navajo people.
Practitioners decorated one of their cars as a truth-clarifying vehicle to participate in the parade. They hung two small speakers on both sides of the car to play "Pudu" and "Jishi" music. As there was not room in the parade to demonstrate the exercises, a lady sat on the car roof to do the demonstration.
The parade started at 10 a.m. Before and after the practitioners' group were large vehicles with noisy engines. In addition, the vehicles were playing loud rock music. When the practitioners' peaceful group came, the elegant Falun Dafa music was just like a slow-moving creek, flowing through misty woods into peoples' hearts. People were pleasantly surprised and moved their eyes to the practitioners' group. The "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" banners and the decorated car with the lady demonstrating the graceful exercises - the scene was so unique and touching...
The exercise movements attracted many people's attention. A great number of people stared at the lady demonstrating them, and some started to copy her movements. More people want to know what this special and solemn practice is and want to know Falun Dafa and the meaning of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
When they saw practitioners distributing fliers, people strived to reach them to get a copy. Some from outside of the circles yelled aloud asking for one or several copies. Some children trailed the practitioners to get their copies. The practitioners of course were so busy that they could hardly meet the requests. On many occasions, one person would take the first copy, and then more people around that person would extend their hands for the materials. Such a scene has not been seen often in the past, and practitioners deeply sensed the aspiration of Indians to Falun Dafa.
After seeing the practitioners' demonstration of the five exercises, many Navajos wanted to learn right away. In about two hours, the class registration form was already full of names. People, old or young, who learned the exercises, were all very attentive and learned pretty fast.
A Navajo followed practitioners' group to the end of the parade and then went to the practitioners' booth. When she was presented with Falun Gong information, she was delighted. She learned the five sets of exercises on the spot, and she could easily cross her legs into full lotus position. When she learned that practitioners were to hold a free class in Tuba, with no hesitation, she registered and wrote down her name and contact information. When asked why she was so interested in Falun Dafa, she said that a well-respected person told her: During the fair parade, only those in yellow can save her. Therefore, she followed practitioners from the parade to the booth.
Dallas, Texas: Practitioners Participate in Asian-American Festival (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On October 15, Dallas practitioners participated in the 2nd Asian-American Festival in Garland. The theme of the festival was to enhance communication between ethnic Asian groups in the US. The festival included a parade, a vendor show and a performance program. Organizers said that there were about 250 performers and the festival attracted many tourists from all kinds of ethnic groups.
Though practitioners didn't hear of and apply for the event until the week before, the organizer was delighted to hear that practitioners were to perform traditional Chinese dances and Falun Gong exercises. She repeatedly encouraged practitioners to participate in the event.

Practitioners' exercise demonstration was also very eye-catching. While others were showing the exercises, an American practitioner talked about Falun Gong. After the performance, the host, who actually came from Mainland China, said: "Falun Gong is really relaxing."
After seeing practitioners' performances, the event organizer was deeply touched. She said that she also wanted to practice Falun Gong and invited practitioners to participate in an even larger community event next year. Practitioners said that participating in community events is a good way to clarify the truth and let more people learn about Falun Dafa.

Two Practitioners Denied Residency in Singapore are Living Testimony to How the CCP Extends its Persecution of Falun Gong Overseas (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Zhaopei and his wife are both Falun Gong practitioners. With the help of the Canadian government they have safely arrived in Toronto. During the years in Singapore while they studied and then worked, they witnessed how the CCP extended its persecution of Falun Gong overseas.
Zhang Zhaopei and his wife in TorontoIn July 1999, Zhang Zhaopei obtained financial aid from the Singapore government and was enrolled at Nanyang Technological University. At the same time he signed a contract with the Singapore Ministry of Education that he would work in Singapore for three years after graduation.
On July 20, 1999, the CCP started the insidious persecution of Falun Gong in China. On campus in Singapore, while watching the CCP's propaganda in attacking Falun Gong, Zhang Zhaopei also got online to read about the introduction of Falun Gong. Eventually he chose to practice Falun Gong.
However, CCP persecution of Falun Gong is not happening only in Mainland China. The CCP tries hard to extend the persecution overseas with all kinds of means. With the pressure from the CCP and the promise of advantages, the Singaporean authorities started to implement policies to restrict Falun Gong activities and even persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners encounter discrimination. Normal activities are disturbed or prohibited. Police carry on unusual inspections of Falun Gong. Permit applications are often refused. Practitioners' applications for permanent residency or citizenship are delayed or refused. Practitioners are not allowed to use public facilities. Even worse, practitioners are unjustly jailed under false charges and found "guilty" in courts. To add insult to injury, the news media do not fairly report these cases.
On December 21, 2000, some Singapore practitioners gathered at MacRitchie Reservoir Park to grieve over 107 practitioners who died in China due to the persecution. The Singaporean police became unreasonably involved and arrested some practitioners. Zhang Zhaopei was one of them.
"The Ministry of Education unexpectedly cancelled my scholarship," said Zhang Zhaopei. "I had to ask for help from my parents in China and had to get a bank student loan. The contract to work in Singapore for three years after graduation was then still valid."
In June 2004, Zhang Zhaopei graduated from Nanyang Technological University. In February 2005, he got a job offer from Compex, a Singapore company.
"According to convention, students like me who have signed contracts with the Ministry of Education would receive a letter of invitation from the immigration bureau around graduation time, to apply for permanent residency. Once becoming a permanent resident, there would be no restriction to apply for a job. I never received such a letter."
At the end of February, Zhang Zhaopei went to the immigration bureau in person to inquire about the letter. The immigration official said they would respond in one month. Since the company that hired him really needed him in hurry, Zhang Zhaopei went to the immigration bureau again early in March and asked to speed up the process. The immigration official agreed to give an answer in two weeks. On March 19, Zhang Zhaopei once again went to inquire of the status after not receiving any response. They told him the response letter had been mailed but it was mailed to an old address.
Zhang Zhaopei said, "I immediately went to my old landlord that same day and asked about the letter from the immigration bureau. No letter was received. In the following week I would ask the landlord almost every day if the letter had arrived, but it hadn't."
On March 26, Zhang Zhaopei went to the immigration bureau again and inquired about the letter. The immigration official said, "There is no record of him in the computer database since the year 2002 and asked him to fill out the application form again and then wait for two more weeks."
On April 7, Zhang Zhaopei received a letter from the immigration bureau rejecting his application for permanent residency.
"I went to the immigration bureau to ask for the reason. They said there was no reason and suggested I apply for an Employment Pass (EP) instead. But I knew there was a reason. The only reason - that I am a Falun Gong practitioner," said Zhang Zhaopei.
Zhang Zhaopei stated, when he and other practitioners went to public places to clarify the truth and spread the Fa, police often checked their IDs and sometimes took them away. Once he was taken to a local police station and met a police officer he knew from before. The police officer told him, "Everybody knows it is aimed at Falun Gong. As long as you do not appear during the Chinese leaders visit, you will not get warnings."
Zhang's wife said, "These things brought tremendous pressure to our parents. My mother was so worried for us and was unable to sleep well, which had affected her health."
The company that Zhang worked for submitted his EP application. After not getting any response for six weeks, the company's human resources department sent a person to the Ministry of Manpower to inquire and was told, "There are reasons for not issuing the permit, but we are not going to tell you."
On June 1, the company received the official notice that Zhang Zhaopei's EP application was refused.
Zhang Zhaopei said, "Since my student visa has been canceled after I graduated, during that period I had to often visit the immigration bureau to get a Social Visit Pass. The first pass was valid for one month; the second one was only valid for two weeks. On June 2, when I applied for the third time, the official said, "sorry, both of your Social Visit Pass applications were refused; tomorrow is the last day."
"We do not want to go back China to suffer the persecution," Zhang Zhaopei said. He and his wife had no other ways but to seek asylum.
With the help of the Canadian government, Zhang Zhaopei and his wife obtained Canadian refugee status and arrived without incident in Toronto on October 5, 2005.

Methods Used to Persecute Practitioners at Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing
(Clearwisdom.net) Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing is notorious for its brutality and hypocrisy. Many cruel means have been used to persecute practitioners over the past several years, in efforts to "transform" them. To the public, it claimed that its "education" style was "like life-giving spring breezes and showers." This so-called "education" is in fact a retinue of cruel torture and brainwashing. Authorities at Tuanhe use inmate "helpers," "enduring eagle" (sleep deprivation), threats, physical abuse, enforced sitting, hard labor, and other methods to persecute practitioners to get them to recant their beliefs.
For example, practitioner Mr. Li Jingsheng died due to brutal treatment and physical abuse. When he was alive, he suffered cruel torture due to his refusal to "transform," even though he had congenital heart disease, from which he could have died at anytime. During the 2004 Chinese New Year holiday, a practitioner from Miyun County was quickly tortured to death because he exclaimed "Falun Dafa is great" during a flag raising ceremony. Because they refused to "transform," practitioners Wen Jizhong and Zhang Jiuhai were in solitary confinement in the training team for a long time.
Many drug addicts are held in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. Fights over opium break out from time to time amongst them. Right after the 2003 Chinese New Year, deputy warden Li Aiming and the Seventh Division chief were relieved of their duties because of a group fight over opium. They were also active participants in persecuting practitioners. Soon after the big fight, the inmates who smoked opium were forced to become so-called "helpers" to monitor practitioners' activities. In effect, prison guards hired the garbage of the society to help them commit their atrocities. Some of the "helpers" were responsible for reporting practitioners' activities to the prison guards and torturing practitioners. Because of this, some practitioners suffered permanent physical injuries. Practitioner Li Xiangling, almost 70 years old, was held by his collar and kicked. Because the "helpers" watched and abused practitioners, they didn't have to work in the fields and earned "extra credit." Some of them, however, began to understand Dafa and expressed interest in learning it after practitioners clarified the facts to them. Some were sent back to their former teams to stamp nails because they were not strict enough and didn't meet the prison guards' requirements.
Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp authorities use the following ways to persecute Falun Gong practitioners:
- "Enduring eagle" or sleep deprivation. They use this tactic when their arguments are losing ground and when they see that practitioners do not believe in their lies.
- Solitary confinement. Practitioners are isolated. Nobody, including "helpers," is allowed to speak with them. They try to make practitioners suffer the pain of loneliness.
- Threats. The prison authorities tell practitioners repeatedly that their sentences will be extended if they don't recant their beliefs. In addition, they are not allowed to see or call their family members.
- Using family members. If practitioners refuse to "transform," the prison guards abuse them verbally. They say that practitioners are heartless and don't even want to take care of their parents, wives or children. They then slander Falun Dafa. Even though the prison authorities have already deprived the practitioners of visiting privileges, at this time they invite their parents, wives and children to speak with them while in tears, and even hint that the family members should kneel down to them to beg them to change their mind.
- Physical abuse. Initially, many prison guards physically abused practitioners. After their crimes were exposed, they encouraged inmates to abuse practitioners. The former deputy chief of the Second Division Ni Zhixiong, was an expert at this. Practitioners Wang Zhenbao, Li Xin, and Yang Hui all experienced repeated abuse from inmates.
- Sending practitioners to the Training Team. The prison guards find excuses to send practitioners, "transformed" or not, to the Training Team. For example, practitioners Liu Xiao, Zhang Jiuhai, Li Xin, Tian Enze, and Wen Jizhong were sent to the Training Team.
- Forced sitting. Some practitioners who refuse to "transform" are forced to sit in the hallway where there is no heat in winter and in the boiler room in summer. One is forced to follow sitting "rules" in which no movement is allowed.
- Hard labor. Since the 2003 New Year, Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp guards have done their utmost to make money. The Third Division frequently worked overtime to assemble pirated DVD/CDs. The First and Second Divisions folded antithetical couplets and cut pirated books. The Third Division chief, Zhao Jiang, who was awarded "excellent individual" because of his persecution of Falun Gong, was also deeply into this and "neglected" the "ideological transformation" of Falun Dafa practitioners and lost his job. He was replaced by the more evil deputy chief of the First Dvision, Liu Xincheng. Currently there are two divisions made up of Falun Dafa practitioners. Liu Guoxi is the chief of the First Division and is busy forcing practitioners to work overtime to "plant hair." The section leaders are people who were handpicked carefully for their inhuman natures.

The Financial Persecution of an Older Chinese Intellectual
(Falun Gong practitioner and a former employee of the Science Academy of China)
(Clearwisdom.net) One of the tactics carried out by Jiang Zemin's regime and the Chinese Communist Party in their persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is "ruin them financially." They cut off all financial support and take away people's right to survive (Editor's Note: In western countries, most citizens are guaranteed many basic human rights. In China, however, citizens are granted only the "right to survive."), and even retirees were not spared.
All my life, since graduation from university in 1965 until my retirement, I worked as a researcher at the Science Academy of China. As an associate professor, I won three awards for successful research. In accordance with the regulations of the Science Academy, I applied for retirement in May 1998. I was entitled to a full salaried pension.
Because I practice Falun Gong, I was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. On November 28, 2000, the Research Center for Remote Sensory Application at the Science Academy of China made the decision to cut me off. >From December 2000 on, they stopped paying my pension and benefits. In the official document, they slandered my good name and smeared my reputation, all simply because I am a Falun Gong practitioner.
In February 2003, after I was released from prison, I contacted them to ask to have my pension reinstated. The Party committee deputy secretary surnamed Yu at the Remote Sensory Center said to me, "You had been cut off, so we cannot pay you your pension. Your personal profile has been transferred to the Street Administration Office. If you have difficulties, you can apply for social welfare." I said, "This is against the regulations governing retirement policies. The pension of an employee who is already enjoying pension benefits cannot be simply taken away. You may have stopped paying me my pension while I was in prison, but now that I am released, you still have to continue paying this pension. Besides, sentencing me to prison is an act of persecution. I should be compensated!" The Party office head Yang said, "Show us the document saying this!"
The Science Academy of China did not reinstate my pension and cut off my financial support, and the Party committee continued to monitor me. They frequently called me at home to track my whereabouts. I said, "You have cut me off, so I am no longer an employee of the Science Academy of China. You have no right to make me answer to you!" Thereafter I did not answer their phone calls. When they called, my husband would say that I was not in. They would ask where I had gone. He would answer, "That is none of your business!" A few days later, the people from the Science Academy of China's "Stability Bureau" came to look for me. I asked, "What is this 'Stability Bureau'?" They said that it was a new department, but actually, it was a branch of the 610 Office in disguise. I brought up the issue of the pension. I said, "You have barred me from my pension. That is cutting off my livelihood. I must report this." The chief of the "Stability Bureau" said, "The center will reconsider the pension issue." Through my insistence based on facts and reasoning, in order to monitor and control me, they finally agreed to reinstate my pension on May 2003.
In mid-June, I circumvented the monitoring of the Science Academy of China and went overseas to visit relatives. After I went to Australia, the Science Academy of China and people from the Residential Committee harassed my relatives and tried to ferret out my whereabouts. Since the Remote Sensory Research Center Party Committee did not manage to monitor me properly, the "610 Office" reprimanded the Party committee people and made them do a self-criticism report. The Science Academy of China sent orders that Falun Gong practitioners were not allowed to go overseas. Even travel to Macau and Hong Kong for vacation was not permitted.
After August 2003, they have stopped paying my pension again. This is one concrete example of how the evil Chinese Communist Party and Jiang's regime put into practice their persecution edict to "ruin a person financially."

The Inhuman and Brutal Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners at the No. 4 Prison in Hebei Province
(Clearwisdom.net) On August 25, the No. 4 Prison in Hebei Province reopened after a brief renovation. On the same day, officials detained four Falun Dafa practitioners there. Three of the practitioners were, Guo Zhijiang from the 7th division, Jin Hui from the 3rd division, and Zhang Zhishui from the 8th division. Violent inmates were instigated by the police to torture practitioners day and night. The practitioners were forbidden to sleep, go to the bathroom, talk or move. If anyone closed their eyes or moved slightly, they were savagely beaten. The police force-fed the practitioners on hunger strike with highly concentrated salt water.
On August 18, Dafa practitioner Cai Baohua was put in solitary confinement by fifth division police officer Yu Chunguang for exercising in the morning. The police ordered several inmates to force feed Cai Baohua when he started a hunger strike.
On August 16, the police from the sixth division instigated violent inmates to beat four Dafa practitioners in public. Bruises left from the beatings were still noticeable several days later on the right side of the face of Yang Jingang and the right arm of Ke Xingguo. Yang Jinggang used to be a teacher at the Baoding Middle School. He has been persecuted severely since 2003.

Qi Mingli Arrested on the Day Before His Wedding
(Clearwisdom) On May 1, 2004, the day before his wedding, Mr. Qi Mingli was illegally arrested and sent to the Jinzhou City Detention Center by more than ten agents from the State Security Bureau at Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. The agents were led by Wang Yongan, who is the bureau's deputy director. They transferred him to the Linghai City Detention Center, where Mr. Qi went on a hunger strike.
More than ten days later, agents Li Guiwen and others were still torturing Qi, even though he was extremely weak and his life was in danger. They also took him to the Luotunshanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City, but Mr. Qi was rejected by the center because of his poor physical condition. He was taken to the Fushun People's Hospital, and then was transferred back to the Jinzhou Affiliated Hospital for emergency rescue and treatment. When his condition improved, the State Security Bureau handed him over to Fang Shaoshen, the leader of the National Security Brigade of the Taihe Branch in Jinzhou city. The authorities from National Security Brigade sentenced Qi to three years in a forced labor camp in spite of the fact that Qi's leg was severely injured. Mr. Qi was sent to the Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp. For more than a year, his family members were not allowed to visit him until very recently. His family noticed that his right leg was disabled, and he walked with a limp. He had scabies on his body, swollen face, and vision so poor that he could not identify people. Last year, Mr. Qi's family had a discussion with the forced labor camp deputy director Li Fenglin about offering bail and releasing him for medical treatment. Deputy director Li, who was in charge of the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, was very rude and unreasonable, and he claimed: "It doesn't matter where you go. It will not get resolved."
More than a year later, Mr. Qi is still being detained, and the forced labor camp is subjecting him to brainwashing and torture. His illness is still not being treated.
Mr. Qi's family members are making inquiries about the possible causes and responsible parties and asking for compensation for his disabled leg. Furthermore, they ask for the return of Qi Mingli's right to have a healthy body and personal freedom.

Practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong From Tangshan City Severely Tortured at the Nanbao Prison in Jidong, Hebei Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong from the Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, was burned with a red-hot iron tool, had cold water poured on him, and was then shocked with an electric baton. He was at the brink of death several times. In March 2004 he was sentenced to seven years in prison and is currently being persecuted at the No. 2 Prison in Jidong, Hebei Province. This facility is also called Nanbao Prison. The prison authorities gave orders that Mr. Sun must be "reformed" within three months.
Mr. Sun Jianzhong lived in the Xianghe Neighborhood of the Fengrun District in Tangshan City. After Jiang's group began persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Mr. Sun was illegally detained at the Fengrun County Police Department because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and because he was the volunteer assistant at a Falun Gong practice site. After a 24-hour detention, he was sent to Tawan Village in Fengrun Town, where he was held for five days.
In December 2000, Mr. Sun again went to Beijing. He unfurled a banner that read "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" and he shouted, "Falun Dafa is great" in Tiananmen Square. The police "arrested" him and took him to the Jiaoxian Detention Center, where they forced him to take off all of his clothes in the freezing winter and whipped him with cold, wet towels. The police tortured all detained practitioners this way.
Li Chunyuan, deputy head of the Fengrun County Police Department, and Wang Zhicun, head of the Fengrun County 610 Office, extorted 10,000 yuan from Mr. Sun's family, claiming it was "to cover expenses for having to pick up Sun Jianzhong in Beijing." They used 6,000 yuan to bribe police officers in Beijing. It is not known how they used the other 4,000 yuan.
Mr. Sun Jianzhong was incarcerated in the Fengrun County Detention Center after he was brought back from Beijing. He was tortured for 18 days and forced to write a guarantee statement. Six thousand yuan in unlawfully assessed fines and another 5,000 yuan "guarantee money" were extorted from him by personnel from the Tawan Village. After he went home, perpetrators from the Tawan Village monitored and harassed him daily. After several days of rational thinking, Mr. Sun realized that he had made a mistake by cooperating with the authorities. He immediately wrote a letter to the Fengrun Police Department in which he announced that his guarantee statement was void.
In January 2001, Mr. Sun was abducted by officials from the Fengrun County Police Department and the Fengrun Town 610 Office. He was sent to the Xiaobali Township Brainwashing Center in Fengrun Town where he was verbally abused and savagely beaten. One night, Shi Aicheng, the brainwashing center deputy head, became drunk. He took Mr. Sun to his office and tried to coerce him into giving up Dafa. Mr. Sun firmly refused. Shi Aicheng grew furious and burned Sun Jianzhong's neck with a red-hot iron tong. The scar is visible to this day. In July 2001, after much effort, Sun Jianzhong's family rescued him and took him home.
One day in September 2002, several police officers and village officials led by Li Jinhu from the Fengrun Town 610 Office broke into Sun Jianzhong's home to "illegally arrest" him. He was resting at the time and his wife tried to reason with the officers. They slapped her face several times and struck her to the ground before they again took Mr. Sun to the Xiaobali Township Brainwashing Center. He refused to cooperate and broke free later in the evening. He decided to leave home and live in exile to avoid further abduction.
In December 2002, Mr. Sun was entrapped and the arrested by Qi Lianfu, an officer from Division 1 of the Fengrun District Police Department. The police exhausted all their methods of torture to try to force Mr. Sun to reveal his source of truth clarification materials. When he refused to tell, the police wrapped his head in a plastic bag and tightened the opening at his neck. Mr. Sun soon lost consciousness from lack of oxygen. The police wrapped copper wires around his fingers, and connected them to an old-style hand-crank telephone generator. Turning the crank then generates excruciatingly painful electric shocks. They tortured him around the clock for three days and then sent him to the Fengrun Detention Center. He held a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
By June 2003 Mr. Sun was skin and bones. In order to shirk their responsibility, the perpetrators told his family to take him home to "recuperate." They promised to never abduct him again, yet they sent people to monitor him 24 hours a day. About two weeks later they broke their promise, abducted Mr. Sun once more, and sent him to a detention center. He again went on a protest hunger strike. He was brutally force-fed twice at the Ankang Hospital during that time. When he protested the force-feeding, he was tied to a bed and not allowed to move for several days.
After he was taken back to the detention center the guards ordered inmates to savagely torture him. They shocked him with electric batons, force-fed him urine and tortured him with the Tiger Bench. When he refused to open his mouth during force-feeding, the perpetrators put him in a chair, cuffed his ankles to the legs of the chair and handcuffed his arms behind the chair. They pried open his mouth with a metal bar and tore the flesh on both corners of his mouth. After they opened his mouth they inserted a one-liter coke bottle with the bottom cut off into his mouth to prevent his mouth from closing. Then they poured in urine. They deprived him of sleep for seven days and whacked him whenever he closed his eyes.
Long-term torture had left the left side of his body paralyzed and severely injured his legs. He was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The authorities were afraid that he would die, so Qi Lianfu told his family to take him home. They dispatched two people to monitor him at home 24 hours a day.
Thirteen days later, the police again went to his home in an attempt to abduct him. His family refused to open the door. The police were furious. Dozens of officers led by Li Chunyuan and Zeng Xianghai broke down the burglarproof door with an oxy-gas welder, hammer, electric drill and other tools. The noise they made while breaking down the door echoed down the street. Several hundred people in the neighborhood came out to see what was going on. The police ignored condemnation from the public and continued to drill the door open.
After they broke in, Ms. Sun's mother, in her 60s, threw herself on her son and protested the abduction. The police grabbed her and threw her aside. They carried Mr. Sun into a police car and sent him to the No. 1 Detention Center in Tangshan City. Mr. Sun held a hunger strike in the detention center to protest the abduction. He firmly refused to cooperate with the detention center doctor, who tried to force-feed him. The guards did not even remove the feeding tube, leaving it in his nose so that they would not have to re-insert it the next day.
In March 2004, the Lubei District Court in Tangshan City sentenced Mr. Sun Jianzhong to seven years in prison, in violation of the Chinese constitution. Mr. Sun shouted, "Falun Dafa is great" in court. He appealed the illegal verdict but the appeal was refused. In late March 2004 he was sent to the No. 2 Prison in Jidong, also called the Nanbao Prison.
During the time he was held at Division 2 of the Nanbao Prison, the head of the Division 2 Education Section and others tried to force him to write a "guarantee statement," a repentance statement and a document attacking Dafa. Mr. Sun firmly refused and continued his hunger strike. He was brutally force-fed every two days at Division 2. A month later, he was transferred to the hospital at Division 4. They still left the feeding tube inserted for long periods of time and force-fed him diluted vegetable soup. Hao, head of Division 4, and Geng, a team leader that specialized in persecuting Falun Gong, falsely claimed that they were feeding Mr. Sun milk powder, eggs and pig liver soup in order to ensure his health.
After 15 days on a hunger strike in Division 4, Mr. Sun ended it. Hao and Geng thought they could finally "reform" him and they had a "heart-to-heart talk" (in their own words) with Mr. Sun for three or four hours a day. In fact, they were trying to brainwash him. They ordered him to write three statements to give up Dafa, but he remained determined. They could not achieve their goal, so they sent people to scrutinize his every move and refused to let him talk to anyone. They brought in several collaborators from out-of-town to verbally attack him. Incessant mental torment could not alter Mr. Sun's firm belief in "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance." He often "clarified the truth" to people who were sent to brainwash him, to correct their thoughts. The exasperated perpetrators then decided to "not allow family visits or to let him correspond with family," which is against the Labor Reeducation Law that states, "the person under discipline has the right to receive visits and correspondence in accordance with the law."
In June 2005, Mr. Sun was transferred to Division 5 to be further persecuted. He was held in the Strictly Controlled Group right after he arrived. He was forced to sit on a small stool facing the wall each morning and was not allowed to move. In the afternoon he was forced to do aerobic exercises and go through routine army marches. Because the prison authorities had give orders to the heads of Division 5 that Sun Jianzhong must be reformed within three months, Huang, the head of the Education Section; Li, the political head; Xie, the head of the Strictly Controlled Group; and others spared no effort to torture Mr. Sun physically, torment him mentally, and create further difficulties in his life.
In order to isolate Mr. Sun and a dozen other determined practitioners, they detained these practitioners in solitary confinement and did not allow them to meet, write or phone their families. These practitioners are not permitted to buy food with their own money and are not allowed to take showers in the summer. The authorities are doing everything possible in an attempt to force the practitioners to give up their belief.
Mr. Sun Jianzhong is still being inhumanely persecuted at the Nanbao Prison.

Four Practitioners from Liaoning, Shandong, and Sichuan Provinces Who Died as a Result of the Persecution of Falun Gong
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Wenge, 38, was a schoolteacher in Fushun City, Liaoning Province. He was incarcerated in Wanghua Prison, Fushun City. Because Mr. Wang refused to cooperate with the prison guards, they subjected him to various methods of torture over an extended period of time. He died in May 2005 according to reports leaked from Wanghua Prison. The details surrounding Mr. Wang's death are still unknown.
Ms. Wang Fengqin, 62, was a retiree from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Ms. Wang had gone to Beijing twice to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong and to spread the truth about the persecution. She was arrested several times, sent to labor camps, and forced to attend brainwashing classes. During her final detention, Ms. Wang became extremely weak as a result of the torture, and she had to be released on parole. She died during July 2005.
Mr. Zhang Yuanhao, 59, lived on Shengchen Street in Beiguan Village, Shouguang City, Shangdong Province. Mr. Zhang started practicing Falun Gong during the winter of 1998. His physical and mental health improved dramatically. Since the brutal persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, Mr. Zhang was forced to report to the village office every day, and he was sometimes forced to slander Falun Gong. Each time so-called "sensitive" dates approached, the authorities would detain him for several days. On one of those occasions he was detained for two months. This occurred in June 2001, when Shouguang City officials "arrested" Mr. Zhang for allegedly refusing to cooperate with the government. At the beginning of August 2005, he was arrested for posting materials about the truth of Falun Gong. He was jailed in the Chengguan Police Station in Shouguang City. The police extorted 20,000 yuan from his family. Mr. Wang was later diagnosed with heart disease and released on medical parole. Nevertheless, officials from the 610 Office of Shouguang City frequently called his home to harass him. They extorted 2000 yuan from him after threatening to send him to brainwashing classes. Under tremendous pressure, Mr. Zhang died during mid-August 2005.
Ms. Tao Shifen, 60, was a resident of Taiping Town, Wanyuan City, Sichuang Province. Ms. Tao had suffered from double pulmonary tuberculosis, but the symptoms disappeared after she started practicing Falun Gong. In November 1999, Ms. Tao went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong and was arrested there. The local police escorted her back to Taiping and detained her for six months. During her detention, Ms. Tao's symptoms returned and she became emaciated as a result. After releasing her, the local police continually harassed and followed her. Ms. Tao died on January 30, 2005.

People's Hearts Determine Their Futures
One Thought Can Have Great Consequences
(Clearwisdom.net) Many people feel indifferent to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and think it has nothing to do with them. However, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" is the law of the universe, including the whole world where human beings exist. How could one say the persecution of "Truthfulness, Compassion Forbearance" has nothing to do with him or her?
The family members of Falun Gong practitioners benefit from the practitioners' cultivation. Many people are blessed for their sympathy toward Falun Gong. Many people who helped the tyrant to do evil have experienced karmic retribution. Many have now changed and stopped taking part in the persecution. Below are some examples from Shandong Province:
A three-year-old did not get hurt after falling from a fifth floor window
Yu Desheng lived in Shandong. He was illegally arrested for clarifying the truth and is in Hengtai Prison. Seven years ago, soon after Mr. Yu started to practice Falun Gong, his 3-year-old son fell from a fifth floor window and landed on a big crockery pot. The child was taken to the hospital to be checked out, and he was not hurt at all. The doctor said, "It is a miracle, unbelievable!"
The fire did not burn store where the owner protected Dafa books
A privately run bookstore in Shandong Province carries Falun Dafa books. The owner understood the truth about Falun Gong because he knew many practitioners. After the persecution started in 1999, he protected the books in his store. He did not destroy them or give them to the police. He gives them to local Falun Gong practitioners when new practitioners start and the books are therefore scarce. His business is blossoming and prosperous. One day, the mall around his bookstore burned down, but the fire went out at the edge of his bookstore. The bookstore owner said "The Teacher of Falun Gong protects me!"
A safety section head suffered retribution
A safety section head at a machine factory had helped persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Some practitioners advised him not to do that since he would suffer retribution. He said "I won't believe that unless my leg is broken!" One year later, he broke his leg falling down stairs from the third floor. He understood that he had been punished. Since then, he discontinued his involvement with the persecution. Now he tries to offer practitioners some protection.
A driver who assisted in the arrests of Dafa practitioners suffers retribution
A similar story happened in Shengli Oil Field of Shandong province. A man was a driver for the 610 Office. When officers went to arrest Falun Gong practitioners, he often drove them. His leg was broken in an accident. He awakened because of this misfortune, and told others "Never arrest Falun Gong practitioners, I was punished by Heaven, please do not commit those crimes!"

"Please publish a statement withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for me as soon as possible!"
Two former colleagues of mine came to my work unit to take care of some business. One of them, Laoli, was a CCP member. I had tried to persuade him to quit the CCP twice before, but he always remained noncommittal. The other was Xiaoliu, who was a member of the Young Chinese Communist Pioneers League. Recently I gave him a CD, but he didn't have time to view it because he has been busy with work.
During our business meeting, I seized the opportunity to persuade Laoli, but he still smiled and didn't respond. When he was going to leave after finishing his business, I again caught up with him and reminded him, "Laoli, make sure you give it some thought. It is very important. If you reach a decision, I can publish a statement for you on the Internet with only your first name, leaving out your surname. How does that sound?" Unexpectedly, Laoli said, "Okay! Renounce it for me!" Then, I again asked Xiaoliu, who was ready to get in the car, "Xiaoliu, which CCP organization did you join? Let me also submit a renunciation for you." Xiaoliu thought about it for a second and said, "I only joined the Young Pioneers League. I'll quit, too. Please help me publish a statement as soon as you can!"
"We won't join the CCP even if we are beaten to death."
As the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party become more widely read, more and more people no longer want to associate with the CCP.
In a certain student dormitory of North China Electric Power University in Baoding City, Hebei Province, someone came to urge the students to join the CCP. The students who were familiar with the facts about the CCP said, "We won't join even if we are beaten to death. We are not going to do that just to get some material gain out of it."
Indoctrination efforts irritate even the CCP members
In accordance with directives from the CCP, a large private enterprise in Shandong Province assigned a person to make materials to "refresh" the CCP members' ideology.
The party members said that they were so busy with work every day that they had no time to deal with the new political materials. They also said that, after so many years of political movements, the ideology has become more and more convoluted. A staff member in this company, who has been a CCP member for 9 years, said that he didn't know how he joined the CCP and still doesn't know the Party charter. He also said that his party membership dues were deducted by the company from his wages and that he never paid them on his own.
A dialogue between two departmental heads
Two departments of a certain government office in Beijing held a work meeting recently. The head of one department said to his colleague in the police department, "I don't know what ideological problems the CCP is trying to solve by launching political movements one after another. Take the United States for example, they never do those ideological campaigns. They just go about their work every day, and we never hear that them suddenly becoming unpatriotic or having ideological problems."
The leader of the police department said, "This latest campaign to make all of us study ideology is taking up all of our time, and we don't even have time to get together with friends anymore. I don't know what the future will hold if we waste all of our time on stuff like this."
Evildoers Receive Due Retribution in Qingyang City, Gansu Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: These incidents should not have occurred, but the Jiang regime's shameless defamations cause those who do not have the ability of discerning the truth to hate Dafa. Their lies have caused those who do not have righteous minds to consciously persecute Falun Dafa for their own personal gain and to protect their own benefits. They incite those people with greed for power and money to persecute Dafa disciples in order to be given a pay raise or promoted. However, heavenly principles are just. The truth that good is rewarded with good and evil behavior is met with bad consequences is an absolute and cannot be bypassed. Hopefully people will abstain from evil deeds that aim at damaging Dafa (the teachings of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance) and act with conscience.
The Party Committee of Gansu Province has made Qingyang City an important place for persecuting Falun Gong. In Qingyang City more than a hundred practitioners have been sent to labor camps or sentenced to prisons. Many practitioners have been tortured to death.
Here are some examples of people receiving retribution for their evil deeds.
Liu Wuqing, the original deputy secretary of the Party Committee, the Secretary of the Policy and Law Committee, and the head of the 610 Office in Qingyang personally oversaw the arrest of practitioners many times. He created the "local rules" for the practitioners who appeal, automatically detaining them for one month. He became sick with many strange illnesses in 2001 and is still bedridden.
Wei Lidao, former General Director of the Ning County Police Department, arrested and sent more than 10 practitioners to the forced labor camp. He was laid off for illegally selling cultural relics in 2001.
Liu Youming, former deputy director of the Ning County Police Department, was laid off for illegally selling cultural relics in 2001. His son was sentenced to prison for breaking into the underground palace of Xiangle Song Tower and attempting to steal cultural relics.
Wang Yongzhen used to be the head of the Ning County 610 Office. In 2001, he became the director of the Ning County Police Department. During his tenure, Falun Dafa practitioner Ren Yuling was tortured to death. Wang got lung cancer in September 200l and had a quarter of his lung removed. In August of 2004, he was assigned to be the director of the Heshui County Police Department and continued to persecute practitioners. In April of 2005, he arrested many practitioners. His lung cancer has become more serious.
Liu Degui, former Ning County Police Department Security Section Chief, arrested many practitioners and searched their homes. He came down with liver cancer in 2004.
Guo Jiamou, former director of the Ning County Education Department, has persecuted practitioners in the Ning County Education System. He was sentenced to prison for five years in 2003 for corruption. He is currently detained in Pingliang Prison.
Wang Zhibing was the former director of the Xifeng District Education System. He has persecuted Falun Dafa in the district education system, and many practitioners were sent to forced labor camps or sentenced to prison because of him. Wang was sentenced to prison in 2003 for corruption.

As accounts of atrocities against Falun Gong practitioners from within China continue, a respected Chinese lawyer has demanded an end to the "barbaric" persecution in an open letter sent to the Communist Party leaders, President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao on Wednesday October 19.
AFP reported that Mr. Gao Zhisheng, head of the Beijing- based Zhisheng Legal Office, has received numerous accounts of torture and abuse at the hands of Chinese police and prison officials from Falun Gong practitioners since the persecution began six years ago.
Mr. Gao investigated the claims made by practitioners and traveled clandestinely to the Shandong province, which he said carries out one of the most brutal crackdowns.
In his subsequent letter to the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party, Mr. Gao said he and his colleagues found ongoing torture of Falun Gong practitioners.
"This continuous, systematic, large- scale and organized barbaric persecution and violence targeted at compatriots who believe in Falun Gong is a reality that is still going on," Gao said in the letter posted on several overseas Web sites.
"We cannot accept this kind of openly anti-mankind barbaric violence... If the two of you [Hu and Wen] are aware of what's happening and don't do anything to stop it, then that's no different from the crimes carried out by the wrongdoers," the letter said.
Falun Gong practitioners who have escaped from China have reported numerous torture techniques used by Chinese police in efforts to have practitioners renounce their beliefs.
Among them have been incidents of male and female Falun Gong practitioners being sexually abused with torture instruments and acts of rape. Recently published photos showing festering burns on a female practitioner's breast, made by shocks from electric batons, have been part of the collection of evidence against Chinese officials.
According to a recent article in The Epoch Times by Wen Hua, "China's Forced Labor Camps Sexually Abuse Falun Gong Practitioners," awards have been given to those camps who have the "successful experience (in transforming Falun Gong practitioners)", such as Masanjia and Dalian Forced Labor Camps. Their methods have been promoted as examples to other camps.

Dealing with Sickness with Righteous Thoughts

Fa-rectification has come to the last stage. However, some fellow practitioners died of illnesses and some are still suffering from sickness. This is really a sad phenomenon. We are now in the period of Fa-rectification. We should deal with sickness karma from the perspective of Fa-rectification instead of handling it with the standards of personal cultivation.
Many practitioners suffering from persecution in the form of sickness still have the mentality we had during the period of personal cultivation. They think that they are eliminating sickness karma and therefore they should endure it. They send forth righteous thoughts and study the Fa for the purpose of recovering from illnesses. Aren't you following the path arranged by the old forces? It arranged sickness for you and you endured it in order to get rid of the sickness karma. What's more, you regarded it as a test to upgrade your xinxing. When you cannot pass the test, you should try to find out the reason. If you keep thinking that it is an issue of xinxing that you cannot pass the test of sickness karma, then your xinxing has not upgraded yet because you do not understand that the tribulation is due to persecution by the old forces.
When suffering from "sickness" we should send forth righteous thoughts and eliminate the rotten spirits, the evil specter of Communism and other elements that keep pushing black energy towards our body. When those things are eradicated, the sickness demon is gone. The reason for this persecution is to stop us from doing the three things well. We should not acknowledge it. Instead, we should firmly do well the three things, overcome the pain and follow the path that Master has arranged for us. Not only should we not acknowledge the path that the old forced arranged for us, but we should also eliminate it. We eliminate whoever spreads sickness karma to our body.
When many fellow practitioners find it hard or cannot pass the test of sickness karma even though they have sent forth righteous thoughts, they try to find out the reason. Yet they still cannot pass the test even though they have found out lots of human attachments. It is because you are attached to passing the test. The more you want to pass it, the harder for you to pass, the more you attach to it. Only when you give up the thought of passing the test, can you really pass it.

Following the Progress of Fa Rectification is the Right Approach

Every day I get up at 4 a.m. to do the exercises. Sometimes I do the sitting meditation in the evening. I also study Master's articles. It takes me three days to read all the articles from "True Nature Revealed" published on May 8, 1999 to "Walk Straight Your Path" published on September 25, 2005. I finish Zhuan Falun in three days, too. I study the Fa from 7 a.m. to noon except when I eat or do chores. I recite the Fa when I do chores.
I prepare truth clarification materials in the afternoon. After sending forth-righteous thoughts at 6 p.m., I clarify the facts outside. I focus my righteous energy on eliminating the evil that mentioned in my truth clarification materials. When I finish my truth clarification, I read Clearwisdom's weekly journal. I send forth-righteous thoughts at midnight before going to sleep. No matter where I go, I have only one thought on my mind: hurry up to save people. Thanks to teacher's protection, I am able to return home safely every time.
In July of 2005, I went to the countryside to clarify the truth. In transit, police conducted bag checks on all passengers. I carried truth clarification books, banners, and CDs. At that critical moment, I sent forth the righteous thought that human beings cannot see what Gods are carrying. Consequently, police did not find anything.
I know a practitioner who gave in to the evil under pressure in a brainwashing class. He was unable to step out of it after three long years. I decided to help him. Despite the long distance I had to travel, I brought Master's new articles to study with him. We sent forth-righteous thoughts and read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Soon, he awakened to reality and immediately revoked his statement of renunciation. He also quit the Party. This practitioner thanked me sincerely. I told him to thank our Master instead, because Master sent me to help him.
On my path to clarify the truth and validate the Fa, I do not go to extremes. I use different methods, no matter whether doing it locally or out of town, I prepare myself by carrying all necessary materials and writing utensils. If the opportunity affords a face-to-face clarification, I seize it. If people want to quit the CCP, I am prepared to have them sign a resignation statement. Sometimes, I write letters to clarify the facts. Other times, I broadcast my message with loud speakers. I think a cultivator must not wait for a comfortable time or weather to do Fa rectification work. It is right to seize every opportunity to clarify the truth.
Every now and then, I cannot hold my Xinxing well. I would then feel regret. I need to constantly look within myself to rectify every thought and action and to improve. I will perform well the three things that Dafa disciples need to do.
My Experience Breaking out of a Detention Center in Fifteen Days
(Clearwisdom.net) Since I had not studied the Fa and sent forth righteous thoughts for a long time, and I had not communicated frankly with fellow practitioners and had not denied the arrangement of the old forces completely, I was exploited by the evil. The police "illegally arrested" me and threw me into a detention center. I felt very fatigued at that time. Also, because several other practitioners were arrested and beaten, I felt very troubled and pained. I did not know whether it was due to my unrighteous field that they were entangled. I felt great regret.
After thinking through the situation thoroughly, I reminded myself that I was a Dafa disciple no matter where I am, and I cannot be defeated by the evil. I remembered what Teacher had taught us in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 U.S. Western Fa conference",
"If you don't cultivate yourself based on the Fa, you can't cultivate higher by just enduring persecution, much less reach the standards for a Dafa disciple."
I told myself that being in detention is not my cultivation environment. The evil brought me here and this is to destroy sentient beings. I have the historic mission of saving sentient beings, and I want to accomplish my mission. I cannot let the sentient beings who have placed limitless hope on me be eliminated. If I cannot realize my wish in coming to this world, my life would not have any meaning. I also remembered Teacher's words,
"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness." ("Also in a Few Words")
I recited these words repeatedly, and gradually my heart became calm.
Under normal circumstances, I was busy with daily life, work and things of clarifying the truth, so I did not have a large amount of time to send righteous thoughts. In the detention center, this time, I sent out a thought: Completely eliminate the old forces in the detention center, release all Falun Gong practitioners, replace the negative thinking that veils Dafa disciples and me with supernormal abilities; evil people are forbidden from persecuting us.
That night I hardly slept. I kept sending righteous thoughts, and kept telling myself, when the evil elements in other dimensions that persecute practitioners are eliminated, the practitioners in detention will be released. Now that I was here, I would send powerful righteous thoughts and eliminate the evil in other dimensions. I would not think of when I would obtain freedom, but since I came here, I would do all things well in this environment. However, I also held the thought that I definitely would get out. I would follow our Teacher. To stay here is not the path that Teacher arranged for me. To be honest, I felt insulted to be detained. When the policemen interrogated me, I did not say anything, including when they asked my name and education level.
It was Saturday, the second day of my detention. I remembered the poem in Hong Yin II, "Surround and Exterminate:"
Heaven and earth turn upside down, human demons are vicious
Deceiving the world with massive lies; sinister winds are violent
Dafa disciples speak the truth
The Fa-power of righteous thought destroys demon caves(Provisional translation subject to improvement)
I felt very confident and invincible, knowing what I should do. This prison is not a place that can confine me anymore. Here, each practitioner was detained separately. This was the third time that I had been held here. I did not adhere to any of their regulations or orders, and was not intimidated by the evil. I did not eat, did not put on the prison uniform, did not recite the prison rules, did not do labor and did not do night shift duty (every night for two hours with two people standing without sleep). I practiced the Falun Gong exercises at night whenever I wanted. When the warden passed by, I would shout, "Falun Dafa is great!" I looked for opportunities to clarify the truth to them and I would sing songs written by Dafa disciples as often as I could. When it was quiet, I would send righteous thoughts or clarify the truth to the inmates.
The inmates here had already had some contact with Dafa disciples, so they knew the truth of Dafa to some degree. When they developed any misunderstandings about the way I was doing things, I would try my best to explain it to them. Since I refused to cooperate with the evil, the head guard forbade others and me from watching TV, and ordered me to sit on the bed board and after a while, she ordered me to stand on the ground. I refused and sat on the ground. They dragged me and put the uniform on me. I took it off. They bound the clothes on me. Some criminals asked the head guard whether they could treat me with violence. I thought, I will not let them touch me. The head guard said, "The captain said that nobody can touch her." Several people were very angry, but they did not dare to come close to me. They could do nothing but verbally abuse me loudly. I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" and started to sing. Finally we reached an agreement: I would drink some soup. The captain came to inspect several times and left. After several days, they did not bother me anymore. The criminal inmates were not punished either. However, those who had abused Teacher and slandered Dafa received retribution. Some developed blisters and bleeding in their mouths, some had sore throats and fever, some were punished by the captain and some had nobody to come to pick them up after their terms were completed. I told them that this was retribution for their behavior, and that they should not continue doing wrong deeds against Dafa. While some inmates did not believe me, they did not abuse Dafa and me or make trouble anymore, and some asked me for more information about Falun Dafa.
Several practitioners in other cells also shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." At these times, I would send righteous thoughts to help my fellow practitioners or I would also shout, "Falun Dafa is good." Because I was not eating, my body was very weak could not support me anymore. My heart felt pressed and congested, and my breathing became strained and shallow. It even felt that it was hard to raise my hand when sending righteous thoughts. My mind was not clear and I frequently wanted to lie down. I wondered whether I should drink or eat something, so that I could have strength to practice the exercises and send righteous thoughts. When I drank the water, my throat felt blocked by something. I then put the water down and gave up the idea of drinking it. A few days later, this feeling disappeared.
I could not sleep in the daytime. I sent righteous thoughts at night. In the beginning, I only slept two hours. Later I slept four hours. When I felt it was hard, I would say to myself, "You are a Dafa disciple. Facing the evil in the universe, you should eliminate them." Again and again, I broke through the mental and physical limits, using each cell of my body to put forth the most of my ability. As long as the evil was not eliminated, I could not fail. I thought: I want to send righteous thoughts. As long as I am still conscious, I will not stop. For myself, for Dafa disciples here, and also for eliminating the evil in the universe that persecutes Dafa disciples, I should continue to send forth righteous thoughts.
Several officials from the Public Security Ministry came for an inspection. The warden took me to an empty room to hide me until the officials left. The warden said that I was in bad physical shape. I said that Dafa disciples were shining like gold wherever they are, and I clarified the truth to her. She appeared to be very nervous and she shied away from me all the time.
On the tenth day of my detention, the doctor wanted to force-feed me. I resisted and told her that I was also a doctor and that we had graduated from the same school; we were therefore schoolfellows. I recited the poem of Cao Zhi, "We are born from the same root, why do you denigrate me so urgently?" I saw her become upset, her conscience was moved, but she still tried to force-fed me. I sent righteous thoughts to push back all the pain I experienced onto the person who applied the violence and to have her fail in inserting the feeding tube in me. She really did fail in several attempts, as the tube came out of my throat. Finally, she pushed the tube into my trachea and I instantly felt difficulty breathing. I thought that I might die. Then I thought that I could not die. I realized that the evil was taking advantage of my loopholes and that the evil was not qualified to impose the thought of death on me. I had unaccomplished wishes and lots of things yet to be finished. I could not die. The doctor ordered an inmate to inject corn gruel into the tube and it all ejected out of my nose. The doctor became nervous and pulled the tube out and said that no more feeding should be done. My throat was bleeding.
When I returned to the cell, I told the inmates what had happened. They felt strong sympathy and some even cried. I told the prison director about this incident. The director said, "You did not die. If you die, I will take responsibility." When I tried to talk to her again, she would walk away from me. There were previous cases of practitioners dying of forced-feeding in detention.
Several other practitioners were also on a hunger strike. Every time I saw the guards dragging practitioners to be force-fed, I shouted, "Do not force-feed practitioners! I want to let all people know that you are persecuting Dafa practitioners, and you will be on the list of villains." Some prisoners said to me, "If you talk like this, the authorities will never release you." I knew that only Master's words count. The evil can act violently only briefly, as they are scared. Later, after I talked to my family members, I found that this was the case. The authorities were afraid that they would have to take responsibility if I had any incident.
Two days later, the doctor tried to give me an injection. I thought, it will not work. I pulled the needle out. The doctor slapped my face, cursing the prisoners who monitored me as being useless. She injected me again at night, and she force-fed me again. She was successful when my mind was not clear. The reason is because the doctor said she would not force-feed me anymore, and I trusted her. I also slackened in sending righteous thoughts due to my weak body. The doctor bound my limbs up with a short chain, fixing the feeding tube on my head with adhesive tape.
I felt great pain, like my heart and body were struggling every second. A practitioner recited a poem of Master, "Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions":
"A Great Enlightened Being does not fear hardship
Having forged an adamantine will
And with no attachment to living or dying
He walks his path of Fa-rectification openly and nobly"
At that time, a heavy rain suddenly poured down. I felt that Heaven was crying. I would not acknowledge any of this persecution. Against impossible odds, I pulled the feeding tube out. They were all surprised and called the warden. Later, the warden unlocked the chain.
I compromised and said that I would eat a little bit. They transferred me to a small room with a few people, and assigned someone to watch me. The authorities considered my case to be the highest priority. They monitored me around the clock using the biggest screen. It had already been twelve days since I was detained. I said to Master, "Master, I want to get out to save sentient beings, I want to leave here." I could not lie down, since I felt that my mind was not clear when lying down, my physical body would not support me anymore, and I would lose righteous thoughts. I knew I surely could leave here, because Master had enlightened me with the knowledge that I would get out.
On the fifteenth day, when I was sending righteous thoughts, someone said to me, "You have been released. Your family is coming to pick you up."
After 15 days of rest at home, I returned to the mighty current of Fa-rectification.
Truth Clarification Materials Delivered to the Chief of a City Justice Department

A few days ago I was exchanging experiences with an elderly practitioner. The practitioner mentioned that the postal service had become stricter in examining shipments. People had given feedback saying that letters containing truth-clarifying materials had not been received. After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, letters, media materials and other items all came under careful inspection.
The practitioner prepared letters to be mailed, letters persuading people to be good, documents telling people to quit the Communist Party, and other truth-clarifying materials. He took the opportunity when visiting a friend to enter the city justice department. The practitioner kept sending forth righteous thoughts along the way, and went upstairs without being questioned by anyone at the justice department.
The practitioner delivered letters and documents to the office of the chief of the justice department, and left materials in some other offices as well. The friend also received the truth-clarifying letter in his office, delivered by inter-department mail. The whole process was smooth and everything was done swiftly. The elderly practitioner felt someone was pushing from behind while climbing the stairs.
The practitioner also told me that we cannot wait. We must figure out ways to save people. We cannot be stuck with only one approach. Only when saving people without human attachment can we achieve good results. When clarifying the truth, we have to pour our heart into to saving those who anxiously wait for our help, and accomplish our important mission of helping saving people.

"I Never Thought I Could Meet Such Nice People"

Both my husband and I are Dafa practitioners. In May this year, we were farming in the hills. On the way back, we had an accident. My husband was maneuvering a donkey-drawn carriage from a side street to the main road, when a car came right towards the carriage at high speed. My sister-in-law and I were sitting in the carriage. The car driver didn't see us until it was too late. Our carriage was hit and turned over, my sister-in-law and I were thrown onto the road, and my husband was pressed under the carriage with all the farming tools and fertilizer on top of him.
My sister-in-law and I stood up. The driver and other by-standers moved the carriage and pulled my husband out. He breathed in for a while, and he felt pain in his legs. However, he still said that he is a Dafa practitioner, and then he managed to get up himself. The by-standers were so surprised. They all said that learning Falun Gong is really good, and if this had happened to other people they would have died instantly.
Then, we found our carriage was damaged and the donkey was lying under the car, with its head pressed against the wheel. Everyone thought that the donkey must be dead. After a while, when the people pulled it out from under the car, the donkey stood up too! The people said the donkey was saved because of our belief in Dafa. "Let's learn Falun Gong tomorrow," they exclaimed.
Three of us were in no danger; however, there was blood everywhere on our bodies, and our heads were lacerated in several places. The doctor said we should be injected with anesthetic before receiving sutures. I told the doctor, "We don't need it. Since I practice Falun Gong, I haven't needed any medicine for eight years. I would be dead today if I didn't learn Falun Gong." The doctor said, "Can you bear the pain without anesthetic?" I said "yes." Getting stitched up, I really didn't feel pain. The doctor said, "You are something." I told him, "It is my Master who helped me."
An X-ray revealed that my tailbone was broken, and my head had a big bubble of water. My husband's head was sewn in two places and his leg muscle was hurt. The doctor suggested we be hospitalized, but we told him that we would be all right after we practiced our Falun Gong exercises. The doctor said that we had to sign, so that the hospital would not bear any further responsibility. We signed and told the doctor and the driver of the car that ran into us the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. The driver understood our explanations, and ended up quitting the CCP as a result.
Back at home, our relatives came to visit us. They asked us to go to the hospital and get money from the driver, but we told them that we would be cured after practicing Falun Gong and we didn't need to ask for money. The relatives couldn't understand, and considered us foolish. When other practitioners heard that we had an accident and that we were unable to work, 16 of them came to help us in our field that afternoon.
People often say that Falun Gong practitioners are like a family. The driver and his family said that Dafa practitioners are good people. The driver's mother said that she never thought she could meet such nice people. She said that other people must find out that Falun Dafa is good, and that Dafa practitioners are good.
